"You remind me of my brother," Dad said to Mason.

"Dad, you kill me. Mason, his brother is his twin." I said, and Mason laughed.

"Well, I certainly don't look like my twin," Mason said.

"No, son, that's a fact." Dad laughed. "She's a beautiful girl. I'm sure she has the boys in this county in an uproar, just like her mother."

"One to be exact, Joel and Amber's boy." I answered.

"Oh yeah? How do you feel about that?" Dad smirked.

"I hate it, but what can I say? I'm not exactly in a position to tell either of them not to do something." I said.

"Advice doesn't hurt, Dad," Mason said, and I saw my dad smile.

"You're already Dad? Does that mean I'm Grandpa?"

"Of course, but don't be angry when Serenity calls you something else," Mason said.

"She calls me old man, so I'm not sure you'll favor your nickname." I chuckled.

"You're only 35." Dad laughed.

"Where's my loser brother?" We heard from outside the door.

"Oh shit, here comes the storm. Mason, I hope they warned you about your Aunt." Dad mentally prepared himself.

"They did, sir."

The office door swung open. "You knocked her up?"

"Chloe, dial it down. This is your nephew, Mason."

Her eyes softened. "You look just like my uncle David."

"What the hell, Chloe?" Dad asked.

"Don't you agree?" She said, as she walked up to him and gave him a hug. "Welcome home kid."

She pulled back and looked at me. "Where's my niece and Joey?"

She hugged me. "In the kitchen," I said.

She walked out. "I guess I should go," I said.

I left Mason with Dad, because I'm sure he has 101 questions.

We ate, and just as suspected, my daughter and sister hit it off right away.

"This is the coolest chick ever!" Chloe is always so loud.

We sat around the patio, and I kept Joey close.

The doorbell rang, and Chloe hopped up. "I'll get it."

Mason was in the yard throwing a football with my nephews, and I reached over and squeezed Joey's hand.

"Oh, hell no!" I hear Chloe yell. "You need to turn your ass right around and get back to your side of the world, my brother doesn't want to see you!"

"Son." Dad nodded toward the hous,e and I walked inside.

"Dad!" Jake ran into my arms.

"What are you doing here, buddy?"

"Mom said we are bringing you home!" He smiled.

I'm so pissed right now, I can hardly see straight. "Mason and the boys are out back. I need to talk to your mom."

"Is Joey here too? Mom, she's an angel!" Jake smiled ear to ear.

Hannah rolled her eyes.

"Go on now Jake," I said to him, then looked at Hannah.

"What the fuck?" I asked.

"Yeah, what he said!" Chloe stood there like a guard dog.

"Mind your own business, Chloe." Hannah snapped at her.

"You do not barge your way into my parents home and say shit!" Chloe stepped forward.

"Chloe, go on outside," I said.

"Hudson, she's ruining the day for everyone."

"I'll handle it," I assured her.

"Fine, but take one step toward Joey or my brother's other children, and you're done!" Chloe warned.

"Whatever Chloe, go find someone else to bitch at." Hannah isn't amused.

"Chloe, go on." I looked at Hannah. "She's right, you have no reason to be here. Especially today, so you need to go. Jake can stay, but I don't want you here. I want you out of here, now."

"Why? Because your fake kids are here? You told me days ago we would talk, but you didn't return one call. You're hurting Jake by ignoring us." She said.

"You are the only one hurting Jake." I snapped back.

"You're replacing him! How do you think that makes him feel?" She asked.

"Don't use Jake in this Hannah. He seems perfectly fine out there with his brother and cousins. You're planting a seed in his head and giving him hope we will be together again. That's never happening. I'm not talking to you about this today of all days."

"Why? Why is today so special?"

"My children are meeting their family for the first time, and none of this is your business. You need to leave."

"Where is she? I deserve to look at the woman who is breaking apart our family." She said.

"Are you kidding me right now? We are divorced! You broke up our family with Greg, remember? You need to take your narcissistic accusations and go. Jake will be fine with me a few days." I said.

She pushed past me and went toward the patio, but I grabbed her arm. "Don't you fucking dare!" I pulled her toward the front door.

"I'm not leaving without Jake!" She said.

I heard the back door open.

"Not that lady again. Wow, you've got some nerve coming here and stalking my father." Serenity stood there with her arms crossed. Chloe is behind her with a proud smile on her face.

"Sis, stay out of it." Mason walks in behind her, and Hannah gasped.

"He looks like Jason." She muttered.

"That's because he's my son!" I reminded her.

Her mouth opened like she wanted to say something, but my daughter stepped closer. Her accent made her seem much older than her years.

"I could see why my father liked you at one point, but my mother is back now, and they love each other. I would also like the opportunity to spend some time with my little brother, but you will just upset him. So, please do take your leave so we can get to know our family. My mother doesn't need your presence."

"I..I'm in shock." Hannah says.

"Serenity, I'll have her gone soon." I said.

She turned and walked away. "I'll trust you will, old man."

"She is so my niece!" Chloe squealed, and I roll my eyes again before turning toward Hannah.

They shut the door behind themselves.

"Leave and I'll make time to talk tomorrow, but nothing will change. I'm not coming back to you." I said.

"Because of the woman that abandoned you?"

"No, because when I left, I made a decision. I wanted that divorce for years." I won't talk to her about this right now. "Does Jake have an overnight bag?" I asked.

"No, he's coming with me. I'll get a motel, and I expect you there tonight. I'll text you." She turned to leave.

"I'll contact you tomorrow, this day is for my family. It's too bad you have to be so selfish that Jake can't stay. He's happy out there, but instead, you'll have him sitting in a motel doing nothing." I said.

"That's right, he will be with the mother of your son, which is where you should be, Hudson."

"I am, she's sitting out back with my family. She's the mother of two of my children." I said.

"Get my son!" She snarled.

"Fine." I left her standing there.
