《Haunting Me (A Completed Steamy, Romance)EDITING》Part 7

I slammed the girl's locker room door shut and leaned back against it. I give up, he wins.

I can't believe I saw that ugly thing. He asked me if it scares me, but it's not him I fear, it's my future.

My father allows me to have a normal life, but it is going to change. Whenever I think a guy has a crush on me, I tease him until he wears down just like Joel. He sees me just as his friend, and not as Rob Lattire's daughter, the oil tycoon who literally owns half of Texas.

He allows me the job and earning my own car. Other kids would love to be his child, but I hate it with every fiber of my being.

Now, this guy walks into my life. What now?

I got changed and put my hair up. My shift starts in a half hour, so I walked out of the school doors quickly. The gang was already there, so I clocked in and grabbed my apron. I was trying it on, when Hudson approached. "I hope you weren't late." He said.

I took a deep breath and looked up at him. "Right on time."

The guys called out his name, and he went and sat with them. It's a short shift tonight, and I'm hoping my father doesn't send his driver too early. My car is in the shop again, and I hate it when my friends are reminded of my father's wealth. For some reason, they act weird, and it makes me feel like I'm not really one of them. My father isn't really a good man, and many of their families have suffered at his hands. It took a lot to prove I'm not like him.

I caught glances of Hudson all night, secretly wishing they would all leave, but that doesn't seem to be the case. My only option is to cancel the driver and walk the few miles home. I ran to the back and made that call.

"What's wrong with you tonight? Is it your asshole dad?" Julie asked.

I shook my head no. "I'm just not in the best mood."

"Are you sick?" Julie felt my head.

"No, I'm fine, I promise." I said, and she gave me a knowing smile.

"One finally passed your test, and you're scared shitless. He's the hottest guy I've ever seen, what happened at the school?" She asked.

"Nothing, I'm fine." I busied myself counting the drawer.

"I'm worried about you. He figured out your game, didn't he?" She asked.

"Julie, for real, I'm losing count." I said.

"Fine, I have to go pick up Allison, Mom has the late shift tonight. We will talk tomorrow, promise?" She asked.

I gave her a half-hearted smile. "Promise."

I looked over, and Amber was flirting with Hudson.

I hate this, and I just want to go home. Nobody knows about Jackson, and I can't just say "I'm just a business deal to my father, and I'm engaged."

So what if I'm not a virgin on my wedding night, right? A guy like Hudson would get bored with me. He's the real deal, and I'm not sure I could keep him at arm's length. I'm so screwed. Maybe he will just date Amber, and make life easier for me.

Everyone said bye, and they started locking up, so I grabbed my bag and prepared for my long walk home.

"Careful tonight out there, kid." My boss said.

"Thanks, Paul."

I started walking toward home, when a black car pulled up next to me and stopped. "Do you live close or something?"

I looked over, and there he was, standing on his driver's side with the door open.

"I'm just down the road, I'm fine Hudson."

"Get in, Joey." He said.

"I said, I'm fine." I replied.

He walked over and picked me up. "I'm done with your games, little girl." He opened the door and set me inside. "Stay" he ordered.

He got in behind the steering wheel. "You're stubborn." He said, and I crossed my arms.

"Do I stay on this road?" He asked.

I just nodded.

"Whatever this is, you've got to get over it, Joey. I told you I'd make a better friend, than a toy." He said.

"Fine, I get it already." I snapped.

"Fuck this!" He turned the wheel and pulled off on a dirt road, then turned to me.

"Look at me, Joey!"

I didn't.

"I said, look at me." He demanded.

I did, and he stared at me.

"Why do you play these games with guys? If I was a different kind of guy, I could have hurt you three times now. What's going on with you?" He asked.

"Nothing" I replied.

"You're hiding something." He said.

I just shook my head no.

"What's your problem? We aren't moving from this spot until you talk." He is just as stubborn.

"You! You're my problem, okay? I have a different life than you and the rest of them. Usually, I have fun, but then you came along." I snapped.

He smirked. "How did I ruin your fun?"

I looked down at my hands and shook my head.

"Was it because I kissed you, and you weren't expecting how it made you feel?" He asked.

I looked up at him, and damn if he didn't have compassion in his eyes. I just nodded yes.

"No guy has ever made you feel that way?" He asked.

I shook my head no.

He laid his hand on my cheek, and it felt so safe and warm. I closed my eyes just to memorize this feeling. I've never felt it, even when my dad would hold me when I was little.

"Dammit, Joey." I felt his hand move to the back of my head, and he pulled me into a kiss. His lips were firm, and when his tongue massaged mine, a jolt of something powerful went through my whole body.

His kiss became deeper, and he scooted closer to me, pulling me on top of him.

His breathing changed, and so did mine. His hands rested on my hips, and he pushed them down, so I ground against him. My fingers ran through his hair, and he trailed his fingers under my shirt. Nothing has ever felt so good in my life.

His fingers slipped under my bra, and I've never allowed a guy to touch me like this before. My hips continued to move against him, and I was ready for anything he might give me.

He stopped and pulled his head back. I felt his hand pull my hair out of the ponytail and he ran his fingers through my hair. "No more games?" He asked, and I shook my head no.

"You're all mine?" He asked, and I nodded yes.

"Thank God, I got so tired of your games." He pulled my head down, and kissed me again.

He trailed kisses down my neck, and I shivered. Suddenly, I felt my shirt pull off me. "You have no idea how bad I've wanted to see these." I felt my bra loosen, and he slowly pulled the straps down my arms.

"Oh, shit." He whispered, just before his lips landed on my nipple, and he squeezed my breast. I shivered again, and he chuckled.

He looked up at me. "We better stop and get you home."

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked, as he pulled my bra back up my arms and snapped it back on me.

"Absolutely not, I just won't have my girl lose her virginity on a dirt road in my car. If we don't stop now, that's what will definitely happen." He said.
