I look over at Rose to see her laying there with closed eyes, her chest raising evenly and I chuckle at how fast she fell asleep. Playing in the pool must have tired her out a lot.

"Thank you for applying the lotion onto her, even though she was a little fuzzy." Scarlett says, seeing me watching Rose.

I turn around to look at the beautiful woman and smile.

"Of course. You were making sandwiches and I wanted to help get Rose ready for her nap. She seemed exhausted and therefore was fuzzy, which I didn't mind. We still applied the sunscreen and it seemed like she had fun." I shrug it off and Scar smiles softly at me.

"You really have a way with her. Whenever she plays or goofs around with you, she seems so happy and carefree. I love seeing her that way and I am so, so thankful that you make her this happy." She says sweetly and I can't help it but to smile as well.

"Anytime. I love that little sunshine and she definitely has a place in my heart." I admit, seeing Scarlett's expression soften even more, her eyes starting to sparkle at my words.

"By what she told me and the looks of it, you definitely have one in hers too. And also in mine." She says and my heart soars with happiness.

I'm not sure if she only means this in a friendly way or also in a relationship kind of way but either way, it makes me incedingly happy.

"You also have one in mine." I reply and watch her eyes lighting up.

She reaches out for my hand and intertwines our fingers. My eyes meet hers and her green oceans hold so many happy emotions that I can't keep them apart.

But I don't need to identify each one because all that matters is that she is happy.

We gaze into each other's eyes for quite a while until I feel like the sun is heating up my y/h/c (your hair color) hair to cook an egg on it. I remove my gaze from Scar's and decide to join her on her chair since it's in the shadow.

She grins a little at my action. Our hands are no longer intertwined but now our legs are slightly touching and it gives me a bunch of butterflies in my stomach.

"Was the sun too hot?" Scarlett asks, her eyes sparkling as she already knows the answer. I roll my eyes playfully.

"No, I just wanted to be closer to you." I say, a grin on my lips.

It's not completely wrong, I like being close to her. The sun was still the main reason though.

"Mhm." Scarlett hums and pulls up one of her legs to turn to face me.

I turn to look at her as well.

Her body so close to mine, only inches away, makes my skin tingle in anticipation.

Scarlett lifts up a hand and takes one of my wet strains of hair between her fingers, playing with it a little. I watch her eyes observing the movements of her fingers before they look into mine. She lightly pulls on the strain before tugging it behind my ear.

"You know, you with wet hair does something to me, that I can't explain." She husks and I feel a light shiver run over my skin.

"Is that so?" I ask, equally as silent as her words before. She nods and her hands come to a rest on my knees.

"You in a bathing suit isn't really helping with that." She whispers, her eyes darting over my body and I take a sharp breath in when her eyes linger on my cleavage for a few moments.

Probably unintentionally, she licks her lips, making my head run wild with thoughts and images.

"You know, you look extremely attractive in a bikini yourself." I whisper back and her eyes snap back up to look at mine. She raises an eyebrow with a smirk.

"Do I?" She asks, playing unaware while her eyes tell me she knows very well what I'm talking about.

I just hum in agreement and bite my lip a little, trying to contain myself because her body so close to mine and both of us in our swim outfits makes my mind spin with thoughts that aren't appropriate with Rose right next to us.

"You didn't quite get to put the sun lotion onto yourself." Scarlett recalls the previous situation.

"True but it was worth it, the sandwich was very tasty." I say and nod to emphasize my words. She smiles in thanks at me.

"Let's apply some lotion to the rest because I don't want you looking like a lobster tomorrow." She grins and I playfully glare at her before agreeing.

"You too though because you were in the water as well." I remind her and she nods.

She gets up to grab the lotion and nods towards the chair I'm sitting on. I raise an eyebrow in question, unsure what she means by that.

"Lay down, I'll take care of this." She advises me, something glancing in her eyes that I can't quite pinpoint but it for sure isn't innocent.

I think about it for a second before I follow and lay down on the lounger. Scarlett sits down next to my legs and squeezes some of the lotion into her hand.

"If I remember correctly you already did one leg..." She trails of, her thoughts elsewhere as she starts to draw random pattens onto my other leg.

Her finger is cool due to the lotion and a nice contrast to the heat surrounding us and to the heat that's building up inside me.

Every ever so gentle touch of hers, shoots a new load of butterflies into my stomach and my whole body starts to tingle. I take a breath, trying to calm myself down. This is just a friendly gesture, nothing more.

But it doesn't matter how often I tell myself that, my body still gets excited at every contact with her fingers.

When she is done drawing the shapes, she spreads the lotion until my second leg is done as well, at least the front side.

"I think I can do the arms myself." I offer, not wanting to come of like a child that can't put lotion on itself.

"Okay, I'll do mine in that time." Scar smiles and hands me the bottle. There are a few minutes of silence between us while be both lotion up our arms.

When she is looking elsewhere, I use that opportunity to put some lotion on my finger and when she looks back at me, I bop her nose with it.

She playfully glares at me but I just give her an innocent smile and make the spot bigger before gently spreading the sunscreen over her nose onto her cheeks.

If I couldn't see it, I could definitely feel how her cheeks move upwards as she starts to smile at my action. I softly apply more lotion until her face is all done and I cup her cheeks, rubbing my thumbs gently over her cheeks.

"You are truly beautiful." I whisper and almost see her melting at my words.

Without hesitation, she leans in and our lips connect in a sweet kiss. Her lips are soft and move just right against mine and it feels as if they were meant to find each other.

We slowly pull away and I get lost in her eyes until it's her turn and she spreads lotion around my face, her fingers ever so gentle.

I lean into her touch, enjoying the feeling of her taking care of me.

When she's done, she gives me a peck on the lips before smiling at me.

"Almost done. Now turn around, so I can get the back of your shoulders and legs." She says with a cheeky grin that makes the butterflies inside me do flips.

I bite my lip and turn around to lay on my stomach, using my arms as a pillow.

"Am I allowed to touch you?" She makes sure and my heart almost melts at her caring question.

"Yes you are." I agree.

"If you don't want to anymore, just tell me, okay?"

I nod and hear her let out a small relieved breath before squeezing some of the lotion into her hand. Before she can apply it, I stop her.

"This might make it a little easier." I say and remove the straps of my bathing suit from my shoulders, letting them dangle off my arms.

In the corner of my eye, I see Scarlett gulping a little at that and I smirk at her reaction before lowering my head back onto my arms.

When her hands touch my skin, I automatically relax into it and when she starts to massage the lotion into my skin, I let out a content sigh, this feels really good.

She continues it longer than needed, probably because of my reaction and I sulk a little when she removes her hands from my shoulders.

But when her hands touch my body again, I grit my teeth a little to keep a noise from escaping. She started applying the sunscreen to the back of my legs, my knees to be exact.

I glance over to Rose who still seems deep asleep and breath out, that's good.

Scarlett applies the lotion to my lower legs now, massaging them as well, which feels really nice and for a few seconds I forget that she is doing this for the sunscreen.

Her hands feels so soft and strong at the same time and I can feel my muscles relax under her touch.

Until she goes back up and starts to do the same to the back of my thighs.

Even though I'm doing my best to keep quiet, a silent groan trembles over my lips. It just feels so nice and honestly kinda arousing at the same time. Hearing Scarlett chuckling shows me, that this was intentional and I playfully roll my eyes even though she can't see it.

Her hands slowly move further up until they reach the lower end of my bathing suit and I take a sharp breath in when her hands start to massage the space right beneath my butt.

She is doing this on purpose, just to tease me but I don't complain, it feels way too good for that.

I just hope that she can't see which affect her touch has on me because that would be kinda embarrassing.

When she seems all done, she puts the bottle on the ground and leans over me, placing a soft kiss onto my shoulder blades as if she didn't just almost massaged my butt.

"All done." She whispers into my ears and I hum, feeling extremely relaxed and turned on.

I slowly turn around to look at her, a smirk on her lips that tells me that she knows damn well what she just did.

"Your turn." I say, giving her a cheeky smile and sitting up to make room for her to lay down.

Her eyes sparkle and grow slightly darker but she doesn't say anything, she just takes my place.

I grab the bottle of lotion and turn back to look at her. She has turned her head sidewards, watching me with a grin. Just the way she looks at me makes me feel things, God.

Before I can start, her eyes get a mischievous glint and she reaches around her back and pulls open the straps that are holding her upper bikini piece. It's still tied around her neck but if she got up or did any sudden movements, it wouldn't cover her anymore.

I gulp a little at the sight, suddenly feeling hot, but the good kind.

Scarlett chuckles at my reaction and winks before closing her eyes and resting her head down onto her arms. Oh she had this whole thing planned out, cheeky.

Before I start, I look over to Rose who is sleeping peacefully. I turn back around and place my hands on Scar's shoulders, starting to massage them, just as she did to me before. Thanks to the lotion, it's all very smooth and hopefully feels good for her.

I feel some parts that are more tense and apply a bit more pressure in an attempt to loosen them up.

A sigh leaves Scarlett's mouth that makes me smirk and bite my lip. I slowly continue the search for tense parts, squeezing sunscreen into my hands every once in a while to make sure she won't get a sunburn.

I work my way down her back and every time I get to her sides, I hesitate a little, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.

But she doesn't react in any way, so I suppose she doesn't mind. Her body melts at my touch and I feel her more and more relax. It starts to feel natural to take care of her in this way and for a few seconds I wish for nothing more than to take care of her and Rose forever.

But I shake that thought away, I won't get my hopes up.

When I skip her butt and move to her legs, I hear an almost offended huff and chuckle. But when I start to massage her upper legs, she seems satisfied as well, letting out a happy hum.

Her skin feels soft and warm and I have to withstand the urge to kiss every bit of it.

She relaxes more and more at my touch which makes me smile and I continue to massage her longer than needed, just to hear her content hums.

When I'm done, I take my hands off her and she opens her eyes just to pout at me.

It's adorable and I lean down to kiss it, making it go away. Before she moves further, she grabs the straps of her bikini, trying to tie it back around herself but she can't quite reach it. So, I gently take them out of her hands and tie it back up.

"That was very nice." She says and turns around to face me properly.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." I reply with a smile and close the sun lotion and put the bottle away.

"I did." She says with a grin, something sparkling in her eyes but it's too quickly gone to fully tell what it was.

"We are all ready to lay in the sun then." I say and stretch myself, slowly growing tired from all the pool action.

"Yes we are. Maybe take a little nap, you seem tired." Scarlett observes with a soft smile and I nod in agreement.

"I think I will. Wake me up when you need me." I say with a smile as well. She nods and sits up, now facing me.

Her hands cup my cheeks and she pulls my face closer to hers, connecting our lips in a short kiss. For a second it looks like she wants to say something but she doesn't. Instead she brushes some hair out of my face.

"Maybe take my hat, so your head won't be in the sun while you sleep." She offers and I give her a thankful smile back, grabbing her hat and laying down on my lounger again. Hers is still in the shadow, which she seems fine with. I get comfortable and faster than expected, I fall asleep.

I'm woken up by a weight on my hips, bouncing a little.

When I open my eyes, I need a few seconds to get used to the light. Right in front of me I can see Rose's face, her body the source of the weight.

"Hey, Rosie." I greet her, my brain still in a daze from my nap.

"Mommy said we'll have ice cream now." She explains the bouncing on my body and I smile at her excitement and sit up, wrapping my arms around her so she won't slip.

"That's nice!" I agree and Rose nods happily.

She tells me about the dream she just had during her own nap and I nod along, asking a few questions to show her I'm listening.

A few minutes later, Scar comes back outside, carrying three bowls of ice cream. Rose slides off my lap to sit down next to me and I pull my legs closer, sitting criss-cross.

"Hey, sleepyhead." Scarlett greets me and gives me a warm smile.

"Hey." I reply back and take my bowl from her. "Thank you."

She hands Rose her bowl as well and sits opposite of us. Rose immediately digs into the ice cream while Scar and I share an amused look before eating ours as well.

We talk a little bit about the hot weather and stuff before we finish our ice cream. Rose has it smudged all around her mouth and Scarlett wipes it off of her while I collect our bowls and bring them inside.

I can see Rose bouncing up and down while talking to her mom about something. My eyes come to a rest on my bag with the water guns and I decide that now would be a good time to bring them with me.

Scarlett sees me first and grins when she sees what I'm bringing with me. When Rose sees the expression of her mother, she turns around to look at me and her eyes grow big and she runs towards me.

"Are we having a water gun fight?" She asks, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Yes we are!" I confirm and Rose claps, taking one before going to fill it up with pool water.

I hand Scarlett one as well before I fill mine up. Rose's is filled faster and as soon as she found out how to handle it, she starts shooting me.

"Hey, unfair!" I say, making Rose giggle.

As soon as mine is full as well, Rose takes off.

I chase after her, trying my best to shoot her but she is quick to change path.

After a bit of running, she heaves a little and changes her tactic. She turns around and hits me right in the face with water. I'm a little startled for a second before I growl playfully and aim my water gun at her, hitting her right in the chest, making her squirm and laugh.

We shoot at each other until our guns are empty and we run to fill them up again. Just as before, we bolt off as soon as we're done.

This time Rose takes on a different strategy and hides. I hide as well but since I'm taller, it's a little more difficult to find a spot where I fit.

Unexpectedly, I'm hit by water and hear Rose's laughter. I'm quick to get up and run after her.

"You can't catch me, I'm Black Widow and undefeatable." She yells while running away.

I smile at her words and think about the character for a few seconds.

A few seconds too long because Rose noticed I am distracted and comes running towards me, shooting water at me. She makes shooting noises with her mouth and I play along and sink to my knees.

"You got me." I pretend and fall down onto my back.

Rose laughs even more and sits on top of me. An evil glint appears in her eyes as she opens her water gun and I have an idea what she plans to do.

"No, have mercy, Black Widow." I beg pretendingly but Rose shakes her head.

"You are bad." She says and empties her water gun over my head before dropping the empty gun next to her.

"Oh, you're gonna regret that." I say and raise my hands and her eyes grow big and she moves to get up and run away but I am quicker and dig my fingers into her sides, tickling her.

Laughter erupts from her and she wiggles around on me, trying to escape my fingers.

I give her a short break to catch her breath before I start again, making her squeal. My chuckling mixes with her giggles.

When water hits us, I look up surprised and see a smirking Scarlett standing a few feet away, aiming at us.

"The enemy found us!" I yell and sit up, wrapping my arms around Rose.

I hand her my water gun and stand up with her. She shoots at Scarlett but as soon as Scar comes closer, I take off with Rose and we run around the backyard.

I gotta admit, Scarlett is quick and lands a few very good hits. Rose laughs the whole time, trying to hit her mother with the water while we run around.

When my breathing gets too heavy to run, I stop and turn around to face Scarlett. Just in that moment, Rose looks up at me and shakes the now empty gun.

"Oh no." I say and look back to Scarlett who grins, still having water in hers.

I shift Rose in my arms and hold her in front of me as a shield. She squeals and laughs when Scarlett shoots at her. But my legs also get a few hits, so it won't be just Rose.

As soon as Scarlett's gun is empty as well, I pull Rose a little closer and whisper something into her ear which makes her grin.

Then I put her back onto the ground, where she bolts towards her mom.

Scarlett laughs and takes off. I let them chase each other for a few rounds, before I join in to fulfill the rest of the plan.

Scarlett almost bumps into me but stops right before that, looking between Rose and me.

We slowly walk closer, making her take a step back.

Slow and careful, Rose and I make Scarlett walk towards the pool and when she notices, her eyes go wide. She turns around to look at the pool and that's the moment where I give Rose a sign and she gives her mother a little push.

It's not nearly enough to really make her move but Scarlett plays along and 'falls' into the pool. Rose and I cheer loudly, high fiving each other. Scarlett chuckles as she shakes her head in the water.
