The hangman's daughter always painted what the future would hold, and she never lied. So that night she painted and painted and by morning Jane came to the surface to see something bone chilling. It was Bella fucking Swan jumping off a cliff or at least at the edge of one. More stress came onto Jane as she wouldn't admit her worry for Charlie in the woods with others where a red headed vampire could easily kill them. Now she had to take care of her idiotic cousin trying to off herself? Plus she had school work that she already struggled to do by herself. But she took the day off of doing her homework and stayed glued to Bella's side.

Bella could be seen getting agitated and even tried to slip away here and there. But Jane wasn't gonna let her go that easy, finally having enough of Janes hovering Bella just stormed outside and into her truck. She quickly locked it and began driving to the cliffs when suddenly Jane sat beside her yet it wasn't Jane. It was that Flit personality and he had used his ability to appear in the truck making Bella scoff. Jane surfaced immediately crossing her arms and looking pissed off. "What the hell Bella? What's killing yourself gonna do? Your just gonna make things even harder on Charlie and he has enough on his plate." Jane seethed as Bella merely ignored her existence.

"It's a thirty minute drive to the cliffs maybe you could explain even just a little bit of your stupid life threatening decision? Like what's the point? Your that depressed? Over some stupid ass hat guy?" Jane snapped and finally Bella stopped biting her lip and looked at Her cousin with pure fury. "He was my soulmate! And I'm not killing myself- I'm gonna see him. When I do things like this I see him." Bella explained gripping the wheel as she finally admitted where her stupid dangerous hobbies were linked to. "So? That day on the bike when I got hurt? That's what made you lose control? That's what made you use Jacobs techniques and to lead him on? Your stupid obsession for a filthy bloody sucker that left you in the damn forest? Are you- OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN MIND! HAVE YOU LOST YOUR LAST BRAIN CELL?!" Jane screamed making Bella flinch but keep her eyes on the road.

Jane continued to yell as they drove Bella giving her the silent treatment and not even acknowledging her existence. Hell Jane was about to chase her cousin down as she tried to hike up to the cliffs but someone pulled her down to the underground. All the personalities stood there arguing and it made Jane freak out that they left her body unattended. "What is this fucking book club? We gotta stop Bella." Jane said making the room go silent as all eyes went to her. "Don't you think she should have a choice?" A voice called out of the crowd making Jane look at them all in disbelief that this is what they were fighting about. "A choice for what?" Jane asked implying it better not be for what she thought it was. "Jane she's been like this for months, plus she hasn't exactly been to kind to any of us let alone you. I say let the dumb bitch jump." Lucy said with pure venom as some agreed and others disagreed. One of them being Dr Harrison.

"She's just a child. She still has so much to look forward to, and this is just one heart break. She will find love again but right now she needs us to help her. Perhaps even my assistance?" She asked looking to Jane who had forbid it since the beginning. "Look I can handle her by myself and I'll take care of this." Jane huffed going back to the train station when a voice called out to her again. "You don't seem very capable at the moment Jane. Your letting emotions take control and we cannot afford that." Jane turned around but now they all stayed silent. It had been about more then just Bella's wishes, but also her own of having Paul. "It's what Kay wants okay? We do what the girl wants." Jane argued but Dr Harrison had to correct her like always. "Correction we do what she needs us to do. Not what she wants. We protect her and everyone in here. Believe me Jane I like Paul just like anyone here but- I thought we were on terms with making these big decisions as a group?" She asked and everyone agreed on that part.

"This isn't a fucking democracy okay? We vote on things that could be detrimental to us. Paul is just a guy." Jane spoke but with a hint of fear at what they were saying. "Since when has a man been just a man Jane? Since when did you become such a soft ass pussy." Hammerhead seethed making Jane glare at the bald woman. "But when he asked for me to be his girlfriend none of you besides Hammerhead complained? Why is it all of a sudden a problem now? A day later it's a problem?" Jane asked in complete confusion but everyone else looked surprised too. "We were saying stuff. Didn't you hear us?" Scarlett asked with a pout. "No...... I felt happiness radiating from here and I thought it was all of you?" Jane questioned but Harrison came to the conclusion first.

"It must've been the girl. She's been restricting us, now she's silencing us." Dr Harrison explained with confidence in her voice as mumbled echoed through the underground. Before Jane could bicker with them any more her eyes snapped open and she looked down. Just in time to her foot already hovering over the edge of the cliff. Her mind had been so preoccupied no one had come to the surface. The body moved itself here. And it was too late..... for Jane followed her cousin into the water a few minutes after Bella. Jane tried to swim against the current but before she could even shift into someone else her lungs began to burn and water infiltrated her body. The water was dark due to the rainy grey sky of La Push Washington. She felt herself drifting through the underwater currents before something harshly grabbed her.

She blamed it as yet another current pulling her out to the depths where no one would ever find her. Maybe her body would come to the beach due to the waves and be found once the weather cleared up. But instead she felt a pounding on her chest. Could her heart still be beating? She could swear she heard voices in her head. But since when was that new? Suddenly her eyes shot open to see that familiar grey sky and her mouth opened to spew out water as she coughed harshly. She breathed heavily as she felt something want wrap around her tightly as she gasped for air. She didn't know what it was until she heard his faint cries against her shoulder.

"Paul?" She asked weakly and he pulled away enough for her to see his face. "What were you thinking? I almost- I almost lost you." He panted trying to hold back the sobs he had been doing before her eyes had opened. Suddenly she sat more upright and looked around until she saw Bella and Jake a good couple feet away down the beach talking amongst themselves. "I- I- I was trying to save Bella." Jane finally spewed out in a rush seeing her cousin in similar conditions to her. Paula eyes had went black as his glare burned once again into Isabella Swan. "She's always causing trouble. God I wish she hadn't made it out of there." He seethed through clenched teeth hating that Bella Swan had once again caused caos for the pack. He almost lost his mate due to her selfish thoughts and ideas.

Janes body began shivering as the underground stayed unnervingly silent, she even tried calling to them. She received no answer and began to worry she had lost the others while she had been dead. "Paul.... Kiss me." Jane instructed making his glare stop as hw looked from Bella to her in complete shock. "What?" He asked a bit suspicious that this wasn't Jane although he knew it was. "I need you to kiss me right now and I'll explain why after." She said in a panic which made him nod yet eagerly go in and kiss her. He restrained himself from putting his hands on her in worry it would bring someone else to the surface. But nothing- it was completely quiet still in Janes head making her begin to hyperventilate.

Yes her and the others didn't always agree but she couldn't protect Kay all by herself. She wasn't wrong enough. Rather then answer his questions on why she had him do that she grabbed the back of his head and smashed her lips to his even more aggressive just trying to provoke anyone in the underground. Paul even began to kiss her more desperately with his hands slowly yet I surely resting on her hips. The second his hands laid there it was like a spark. Suddenly voices all began shouting at once making Jane pull away and sigh with relief as Paul looked confused. "You guys had me worried. I'm glad your still here I couldn't hear you." Jane said in a silent huff and everyone in the underground was also relieved.

Explaining to Paul what happened Sam soon approached the beach looking at his two pack mates. "Take them home and then come over to Harry's place!" He yelled making the two boys nod looking sad. Janes thoughts went crazy thinking of the worst case scenario. "Is Charlie dead? What happened? Was it that stupid bitch because I will-" Jane began to say in a rush but Paul shook his head with a sad smile. "It wasn't Charlie. She made Harry Clearwater have a heart attack. He didn't make it." Paul spoke grimly making Jane look down at her clenched fists before glancing to Bella who Jacob was about to take to her truck. "You should go over there. Jake will take me home with Bella." Jane said with finality making him shake his head at her being stubborn. "I nearly lost you today.... I need to be with you." He says making her look at him sadly but shake her head.

"You need to be with your pack right now. Besides me and the others have to have a talk, and I gotta rest I'm tired." Jane said only to make him more easy going and after a minute he nodded stiffly. "But I want to see you later tonight. Okay?" He asked making her nod and smile genuinely this time. Paul called to Jake who looked a bit bothered by Janes third wheeling but didn't comment. Bella curled up into Jacobs shoulder as Jane sat as close to the window as possible in the three seater. As soon as they pulled into the front yard Jane practically flew out and to the front door not even noticing the jet black fancy car in the driveway. As she walked in and turned on the light her eyes met bright yellow ones. A scream left her..... but not of fear but anger at the scare. Immediately she swung at the unknown intruder who easily ducked.

Immediately hammerhead came forward swinging like crazy to no avail. As her fist came barreling at the unknown girl, Bella's face made her stop as she stood in between the two. "Alice?" Bella asked like she was in fact seeing things before the two hugged. That didn't ease Hammerhead who glared at the obvious vampire in front of her. Alice looked to her in interest, Edward had only briefly read Charlie's thoughts in her multiple personalities and telling his family. He didn't know that each one had their own powers however. And neither did Alice since all Hammerhead did was swing her fists and try and kick her a few times.

Hammerhead watched with dark under eyes as Bella finally looked alive for the first time since the Cullens had originally left. And Alice and her talking and laughing like teenage girls at a sleepover. "And this must be your cousin? Jane right?" Alice asked knowingly but 'Jane' didn't even crack a smile. Instead she cracked her knuckles making sure Alice didn't make so much as a wrong move in her eyes. "Actually that's hammerhead. She has super strength." Bella explained making Hammerhead stop for a second before continuing to try and intimidate the vegetarian vampire who looked at her with interest. "Hello. It's nice to meet you Hammerhead." Alice smiled reaching a hand out to shake but Hammerhead looked at it like it contained the most disgusting thing in the world.

"Fuck off and die bitch." Hammerhead spat aggressively and mocking Alice's proper words and way of speaking. "Don't mind her she's always like that." Bella sighed like it was a complete thorn in her side all the time. "No harm done. It's a pleasure. Now Bella why did you jump off that cliff? If it wasn't to kill yourself then why?" Alice asked confused making the two girls only talk to each other again as Hammerhead glared them down with disarrayed. Of course it didn't even take Bella five minutes to spill the secret of the wolves. "Jacobs actually a werewolf." She said making Jane give her a dirty look and shake her head with disappointment.

Her eyes catching Jake who walked in with a premeditated scowl on his face. "Bella, Jane. Werewolves are not good company to keep." Alice said like it was the most known fact when Jake finally made his presence known. "Speak for yourself." His words made Bella turn around with a look of displeasure. Jane sensing the lovers quirrel stood and walked outside and sitting on the front steps tired of today. Fucking tired of Bella fucking Swan. "FUCK!" Jane yelled kicking Bella's truck tire eyes trailing to Alice who soon stood in the driveway with a friendly smile.

"I'm gonna guess your Jane?" She asked with a smile as Jane nodded not looking too impressed. "What's it to ya Leech." She spat making Alice look uncomfortable with the fact the girl seems to already dislike her. "Well- I just thought maybe you'd like to be friends. I sense we will be great ones." Alice spoke knowingly as Jane snorted making her smile only grow but not voice her visions. "No offense but- my boyfriend would rather I stay as far as possible from you. And I gotta say I agree." Jane smiled sickly sweet making Alice nod slowly trying to guess who the girl was dating. "Jacob?" She asked making Jane look sick and fake gag. "God no, I would never date the stick up Bella's ass." Jane gagged afterwards at even the idea of it. "Oh my mistake." Alice glared at the house hating a wolf had moved in on her brothers destined partner according to her sight of the future ahead.

"So- Edward told me a little of you before we left. I take it you've been helping Bella deal with the break up." Alice spoke knowingly making Jane glare at her hating how she spoke to her. "If that's what you want to call it. I have been protecting everyone since you left her in those woods.... I tried to help her. She didn't want me. She wanted Jake. He helped her not me." Jane spoke lowly as shift was coming as the pain hit her of feeling unwanted. "That's not true Jane...... your helping her more then you know. Family is stronger then anything, and Bella knows that." Alice defended her friend making Jane laugh cruelly.

"She needs a man to give her attention in order to feel better. Like a weak pathetic lazy sack of balls. When Edward was gone it was like she went with him..... she had nightmares, did nothing but sit at her window all day and all night for months. Say what you want about the wolves but Jacob helped her. After what you all left behind." Jane snapped hating that Alice was implying Jacob had nothing for Bella when he had done the most. "I'm sure he helped Jane- but you gotta-" before Alice could finish she went blank faced and went as still as a statue. "What's the matter? Wolf got you tongue?" Jane snipped but Alice still looked unmoved. "Pathetic." Jane snorted going back toward the house and walking into see Jacob and Bella talking a litttle tooo close in the kitchen.

Before she could even say anything the phone rang pulling the two apart as Jacob answered it. "Swan residence." He said making Bella laugh and Jane roll her eyes but notice how he stiffened. Making Jane inch forward ready to step in if she needed to and get him away. He was shaking a little, "he's not here..... he's arranging a funeral." He seethed slamming the phone down and taking steps away from Bella. "He always is getting in the way." He continued to heave making Bella continuously ask who it was but Jane had common sense and knew...... Ken the plastic doll aka Edweirdo. "Bella it's Edward he found out why I'm here Rosalie told him." Alice said in a panic as Bella looked angry with Jacob. "Why wouldn't you let me speak to him!?" She yelled and he looked hurt yet angry with her. "Because he didn't ask for you." He snapped and she immediately said, "I don't care!" But Alice once again stopped them. "Bella he's going to the Volturi.... He wants to die too." Hearing that Bella went running out to the black car with Alice Jane and Jacob hot on their tails.

The only difference is Jane say in the back of the car as Jacob looked at her like she was crazy but worried more on stopping Bella. He even reached over Alice to her in the passenger seat begging her to stay. Begging her to stay and not let Jane go off into Danger, to stay for Charlie's sake,..... or to stay for him. Thai was the moment Bella had to make a choice even if it wasn't voiced. "I have to go Jake." She mumbled guilty as his eyes then went to Jane. "You cannot go with them. Paul will never forgive you." He snapped making Jane look at him with a raised eyebrow and scowl. "I'm my own fucking person. You wouldn't know much about that, at least not anymore. Besides who doesn't like a little trip now and again." She said sarcastically at the end making him shake his head slowly in disappointment before letting go of the car and going to the woods.

As the car drove fast down the bare worn down streets of Forks a pained wolf howl sounded through Janes opened window. She wouldn't tell the two girls who glanced at her how her heart suddenly panted hearing it but she knew what it meant. As they got to the border of Forks closer to Port Angela's she could have sworn she saw a flick of a silver in the trees. She felt watched and tried to not look out the window anymore. "So...... where exactly are we going?" Jane finally asked with a pointed look at Bell meaning she wasn't happy she had to come along. But she knew she needed to protect Bella for Charlie and now Jacob. "Italy." Bella mumbled wrapping her arms around her legs tightly.
