Chapter 46~

I gasped loudly coughing up the water and felt hands cupping my face, I opened my eyes blinking rapidly looking around the dark forest. "Hey! Look at me" I heard and looked up breathing hard seeing Xavier

"Xavier?"

"What the hell were you thinking?" He said making me frown "what?" I whispered. "You practically jumped in the lake and tried to drown yourself" he said making me frown.

"No I didn't-"

"Jordyn I followed you. I saw everything-"

"Did you see my mom?" I whispered and he sighed putting his head against mine, "there was no one here" he whispered and I closed my eyes. He sighed laying next to me on the ground shaking his head, "she was here..."

He sighed holding my hand tightly and I stared at the sky, 'leave before anyone gets hurt'

"Again? That's not possible I was in the room with her"

"Well she did-"

"How did you know?"

"I was in the living room watching TV when she walked out. I was calling her name and she never answered. She just took off running into the woods"

"Then just jumps in the freezing cold lake? That makes no sense"

"She said something pulled her in by her ankle... But when I jumped in there was nothing there"

"Did she say anything else?"

"Just that she saw her Mother again"

I felt someone stroking my hair and I sighed snuggling closer, "what do you think is wrong with her?"

"I don't know... We'll find out though"

I felt a warm breath on my face and arms go around me surrounding me with a comforting warmth making me moan softly. "What is going on with you kitten?" He sighed holding me.

I stood in the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror, "Jordyn?" Mason said knocking on the door making me close my eyes.

There was another knock on the door making me groan, "Mason just please wait" I whispered.

"It's not Mason" I heard a woman say, I looked at the door dropping my bag and walked to it. I slowly opened it peeking out seeing Luna standing there looking at me.

"Hi sweetie" she said and I felt my eyes water seeing her. She was practically a second mother for me...

"Can I come in?" She asked softly, I looked behind her seeing Mason leaning on the wall with a worried look.

I nodded letting her in and she closed the door behind her, she turned around and I practically jumped in her arms hugging her tightly crying out. "Oh sweetie" she sighed hugging me tightly against her.

"Xavier explained what's been happening and I decided to come by" she said stroking my hair. "They think I'm crazy" I whispered looking at her, "you're not crazy" she said wiping my tears away.

"They want to do tests on me... I don't want to do any tests. I know what I saw" I said and she just hugged me against her. She sat down on the small bench holding me and I held on to her tightly not wanting her to let go...

She hummed softly stroking my hair and I cried shutting my eyes. I missed her so much.

I missed her motherly touch.

"Sweetie... Why is that bag packed?" She asked tensely making me look at it. I sat up slowly and looked at her "I have to leave" I whispered making her frown. "Where? Alpha Mason didn't say anything about it"

"He doesn't know..."

"You're running away? Are you out of your mind?" She said wide eyed. "Mom said I have to. She said they're coming and they will hurt this pack... I'm not letting anyone get hurt because of me-"

"Sweetie listen to me. You cannot leave. It's way too dangerous-"

"You are their Luna. They would do anything to protect you. It's how a pack works" she said making me look down. "You can't leave. Promise me you won't leave" she said cupping my face making me look at her.

"I don't know what else to do" I whispered feeling more tears roll down my cheeks. "Running away shouldn't be on that list. I know what your intentions are but it won't work. It'll only make things worse" she said.

"I want a guard at all entrances and around the forest. I definitely need some people by the lake. She always ends up by the lake" I heard Mason say from inside his office.

"I'll watch it" a guard said

"Hey" I heard and looked seeing Xavier, "eat something" he said sitting next to me, "I'm not hungry" I said hugging the blanket around me. "Jordyn-"

"Can you hear them? In the office"

"He's just trying to protect you" he said moving my hair, I looked down sighing and he just stared at me. "I'm telling the truth... There was something there" I said making him sigh, I lifted my leg and raised my pants leg up should him my bruised ankle.

He sat up looking closely at it seeing the finger marks. He looked at me frowning and I put my head on my knee, "something did pull me in" I said pulling my pants leg down.

"There was nothing there though" he frowned sitting up, "of course it wasn't" I mumbled leaning back.

"Hey" we heard and looked at Mason walking to us, he sat next to me putting his arms around me. "Finish the meeting with the babysitters?" I muttered making him sigh.

"We Just want to protect you. They'll keep an eye on you and make sure you don't leave at night" he said rubbing my waist making me lean on him. I shook my head sitting there staring out the window.

Why can't anyone just believe me?

Mason put his arm all around me holding me close to him and I hugged his arm putting my head on his shoulder looking out the window. He kissed my head sighing and looked at me, "have you eaten anything?" He asked.

"Yes-"

"Liar. She hasn't eaten" Xavier said making me glare at him, "jordyn, you need to eat" Mason said and I just groaned. "What don't you people understand? I'm not hungry" I mumbled rubbing Mason's arm.

"You never are" Xavier muttered standing up patting my knee. I felt Mason's chest vibrate making me roll my eyes, he pulled me closer making me lay against his chest.

He pulled me on his lap making me chuckle, "any more closer and I would be inside of you" I said making him chuckle. "I just want to hold you" he said in my ear rubbing my waist.

I held the blanket around me looking at his face, he rubbed his nose against mine and I smiled softly rubbing his cheek. "I love you" I whispered making him sigh "and I love you kitten" he said kissing my forehead.

"Why do you call me kitten?" I asked putting my head on his chest, "you sleep like a kitten. All curled up in a little ball, sometimes you try to take up the whole bed. I've seen cats sleep and you sleep just like them so I just started calling you kitten and stuck with it" he said shrugging making me chuckle.

"I should call you a lemon drop or something" I said making him frown "lemon drop?"

"Yeah. Some of them are hard on the outside and soft on the inside and that's how you are" I said making him roll his eyes. "Don't call me that" he muttered making me grin. "Kiss me,lemon drop" I said and he shook his head rubbing my stomach.

I grabbed the back of his head pulling him down kissing his lips, he tightened his grip around me kissing back and I smiled running my fingers through his hair.

"Get a room!" Xavier said making me chuckle, I pulled away glaring at him playfully and he grinned winking at me making me smile.

"How long is he going to be here?" He muttered clenching his jaw making me

"Nothing... It's just... You're getting back to your normal self" I said making him raise an eyebrow. I chuckle putting my face in his neck snuggling closer and he sighed wrapping both arms around me holding me closely to him.

I smiled softly sitting there and looked up seeing Luna looking at us smiling. I smiled at her making her wink at me.

I walked in my room humming softly and closed the door behind me. I sighed turning around and stopped as Mason was sitting at the edge of the bed holding my packed up bag in his hand staring at it with a blank expression.

Uh oh...

He looked up at me slowly with dark eyes making me gulp, "Mason-"

"What is this?" He asked and I shivered from his dark voice. "Um... A bag" I mumbled hugging myself, "no shit. Why is it packed?" He asked.

"I meant to unpack it-"

"Why was it packed in the first place?" He asked making me sigh, "I...I.."

I couldn't find any words... My mind just became blank...

I couldn't speak...

"You're leaving?" He asked putting the bag on the floor "no! I... I'm not"

"But you were" he said standing up, "I... I was... Thinking about... It" I gulped nervously. "Thinking about it huh? When were you going to tell me this?" He asked.

"I... Mason I'm not going to leave-"

"But you fucking thought about it" he growled angrily slamming his fist into the wall next to my head making me flinch. "Why?!" He yelled angrily

"I thought... I thought it was best" I whispered "it was best? For what?"

"The pack... I didn't want anyone getting hurt because of me" I whispered. "You are their Luna-"

"I know. I'm sorry, I'm not going to leave anymore-"

"Were you going to tell me? Were you going to take me with you?" He asked and I looked down feeling my eyes tear up. "Answer me!" He yelled hitting the wall "No" I whimpered. He stared at me in silence but I couldn't look at him... I couldn't look him in the eye so i just looked down.

He slammed me against the wall violently making me gasp loudly, "you are not leaving me!" He growled holding the front of my shirt with black eyes.

"I'm not. I'm not Mason I swear!" I said wide eyed, I cupped his face pulling him closer. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for even thinking about it-"

"You'll never leave me" he growled and I shook my head sniffling "I won't. I won't. I love you" I whispered putting my forehead on his, he shut his eyes tightly growling and gripped the back of my head kissing me violently pressing me against the wall. I kissed back wrapping my arms around his neck.

He growled picking me up wrapping my legs around his waist making me gasp, "what did you think you'd accomplish? Huh? Leaving everything behind? Leaving me behind" he growled.

"I don't know-"

"Tell me"

"I honestly don't know. I thought... I thought that it would stop Hopkins from hurting anyone" I mumbled running my fingers through his hair.

"Yet being alone he would've gotten a hold of you easily and killed you!" He snapped making me jump. "I'm sorry. It won't happen again" I whispered

"Damn right it wont" he growled kissing me again, I kissed back cupping his face and he just growled holding me tighter walking to the bed.

"You're never leaving me" he growled laying me down, "never" I whispered kissing him.

"Are you mad at me?" I mumbled laying there hugging my pillow. Mason sighed wiping his face and looked at me, "I just don't understand you... You do things without thinking about it.." He mumbled shaking his head making me sigh.

"Did you think I wouldn't come after you?" He asked, "like you said... I didn't think" I mumbled playing with a string of thread on my pillow.

"I'm sorry" I whispered looking at him, he laid on his side looking at me and I closed my eyes. "Don't ever think about leaving me again do you understand me?" He said in a stern voice stroking my bare back.

I opened my eyes looking at him seeing him looking at me with a pained expression. "Yes sir" I whispered cupping his cheek "don't call me sir" he said kissing me making me smile softly.

"Okay... Lemon drop"

"Shut up" he growled putting his face in my neck, I smiled stroking his hair as he rested his head on my chest rubbing my waist.

I sat up holding the sheets to my chest looking out the window, I grabbed Mason's shirt putting it on and climbed out of bed walking to the window.

I bit my lip peeking out the curtain seeing some guards walking around. I sighed leaning against the window frame seeing a shadow in the forest.

"Jordyn" I heard making me look up, Mason sat up in bed staring at me, he patted the spot next to him and I bit my lip looking out. "Come" he said softly, I walked to the bed and he moved the sheets pulling me in bed. He laid down putting the covers over me and I sighed as he laid me down wrapping his arms around me holding me close to him.

"Get some sleep" he said in my ear

"There is something out there... I just know it... If it's not my mom... Then it has to be something else" I mumbled making him sigh.
