Chapter 37~

I sat in the chair staring at Mason sleeping in the hospital bed. He hasn't woken up.

He hasn't moved.

He hasn't done anything.

If it wasn't for the rising and falling of his chest I would've believed he was dead. I felt a blanket go around me making me look up and Evan smiled sadly at me. "You should go clean up and get some sleep" he said and I shook my head. "I can't leave him" I whispered looking back at Mason, "can you tell me what exactly happened?" He asked bending down in front of me making me look at him.

"It came out of nowhere" I whispered hugging the blanket around me. "What did?" He whispered Frowning.

I shook my head thinking of the creature in the forest "it was a woman... Or at least I think it was. She sounded like an ordinary woman who was lost and scared.." I whispered looking down at the dry blood all over my hands.

Evan looked at my hands and stood up going into the bathroom then coming back out with a wet cloth. He bent down cleaning my hands and I stared at Mason sleeping.

"Tell me everything you saw" Evan said softly snd I closed my eyes letting the tears roll down my cheeks...

2 days earlier ~

I laid in bed staring out at the window watching the curtains flow gently with the cool breeze.

I had been awake for a few hours but I couldn't move. Mason was holding me tightly to him not wanting to let me go as much as I struggled.

He reminded me of a baby hugging its teddy bear after a long session of crying his eyes out.

I was his teddy bear.

I sighed rubbing his arm tracing the lines of his veins making him sigh. He kissed my shoulder nuzzling his face in my neck pulling me closer and slowly slipped his hand under my shirt putting his palm over my stomach.

He sighed softly rubbing my stomach and I bit my lip thinking about what Jace said. He still wants kids.

'Of course he would' Sarafina said

If we ever do have a pup do you know how much of a target it'll be?

You heard what Hopkins said...

'Yeah but Hopkins won't be around for long-'

That's not the point. He's not the only one. There could be others and if they find out that my pup would be a white wolf with alpha blood...

God knows what they'll do.

And I don't want our pup to live like that...

'We'll figure something out' she smiled sadly and I sighed putting my hand on Mason's. He sighed wrapping both arms around me pulling me closer practically putting me under him. I grumbled laying there being surrounded by him, he sighed in my hair putting his leg over mines snoring softly.

Okay.

This is getting too much. His body heat is burning me up.

"Mason" I said touching his arm and he frowned shaking his head. "Mason it's hot" I whispered and he put his face in my neck making me growl.

"Mason!"

He moaned softly pulling my back against his front and I blushed feeling something poking my butt making Sarafina grin wiggling her eyebrows.

I laid on my back struggling to get his arms off me and rolled my eyes as his hand was on my breast cupping my boob.

I slapped his cheek lightly making him jerk, he slowly opened his eyes frowning and looked around sleepily.

He looked at me with his messy hair and gave me a sleepy smile, "hi" he said huskily and I sighed giving in to the cuteness. "Hi" I said.

"Did you slap me?" He frowned looking at me "you're crushing me" I said and he looked down at us. "Oh. Why didn't you say anything?"

"I've been trying" I sighed sitting up and he laid on his back stretching. I put a pillow over his hips shaking my head "nice dream?" I asked and he grinned nodding making me chuckle.

He sighed laying his head on my lap wrapping his arms around me and I ran my fingers through his hair. "How are you feeling?" I asked looking down at him "better. All thanks to you. Nobody has ever calmed him down before" he said.

"Everyone made me nervous. They didn't want me anywhere near you because you were so dangerous"

"He is. But he wouldn't hurt you" he said tightening his arms around me. "I still wish that they should've taken you down there" he said looking at me.

"She's seen you... She knows how you look now" he said shaking his head sitting up, "it'll be okay" I said kissing his head.

Truth is I didn't know if it would be.

"That macaroni and cheese was really really good" he said making me smile, "glad you liked it" I chuckled. "I loved it" he said as I climbed out of bed finally stretching my bones.

I stretched my arms up to the ceiling standing on my tippy toes stretching, and you know when you stretch so hard you make a weird squealing noise?

I did that.

Mason snorted making me blush, he grabbed me laying me on the bed climbing on me making me smile. He bent his head to kiss me but I turned my head making him frown "I haven't brushed my teeth" I whispered

"So. Neither have I" he said trying to kiss me again and I turned my head again. He grabbed my chin roughly kissing me and I rolled my eyes wrapping my arms around his neck kissing back.

"Want to know what I dreamt about?" He asked kissing my neck and I blushed "not really" I said making him smirk. "Well I'm going tell you anyway" he said kissing my ear making me shiver.

"We were in the forest and I was having you up against a tree fucking you hard" he said huskily making me blush deeply.

'Oh my' sarafina grinned widely wagging her tail.

"Um. T-that's nice" I mumbled not knowing what to say and he chuckled kissing down to my stomach slowly making the desire rise in me.

My heart raced against my chest watching him feeling the tingles burn through my skin with every touch.

He went lower and I quickly sat up "I have to use the bathroom" I said quickly standing up. He smirked sitting there as I blushed practically running to the bathroom probably looking as red as a tomato.

'You're such a baby' sarafina giggled making me roll my eyes biting my lip...

I walked to Mason's office seeing the meeting was over, "Luna" some of the men said bowing their head making me bite my lip.

I'm still not used to being called Luna.

I smiled at them as they walked away, sarafina snorted at me as I probably looked so uncomfortable but hey. I have to get used to this stuff.

I leaned against the wall waiting for everyone to leave, "Evan stay behind" I heard Mason mutter. I heard Evan sigh deeply and the door shut, I got off the wall to walk away but Sarafina made me stay

'I wanna listen' she scoffed making me shake my head.

It's none of our business

'So' she said

I leaned on the wall sighing and listened in "You've had an attitude all day. Everything alright?" Mason asked calmly

"Everything is fine" Evan muttered tensely

"Liar. What's going on?"

"I've just been thinking about last night. That's all. Can I go now?"

"No. Sit down" Mason said sternly making me frown, it sounds like a trip to the principals office.

Evan sighed quietly and I heard the creak of the chair. "What about last night?"

"The whole deal. You put Jordyn in danger you know that?-"

"I'm not the one who brought her down there. I never asked you to bring her" Mason snapped making me bite my lip.

"You hurt her you know. I saw blood on her shirt from your nails" Evan mumbled making Mason sigh. "She calmed him down though"

"That's not the point! You put everyone in danger!" Evan yelled making me tense. I've never really heard Evan yell like that.

"You act like this never happened before! Jace has taken control plenty of times. Why the hell are you acting this way now?"

"Last time Jace was in control you killed 3 people" Evan said making me freeze, "and she was alone with you the whole damn time. You were in the house in that state. My new born son is here"

"She did what was best for me. She knew I wasn't going to snap" Mason said "it doesn't matter. You still could've hurt her-"

"Well then you shouldn't have taken her down there. So enough bitching when your the one who made it happen" Mason growled in his alpha tone.

"Can I go now?" Evan muttered after a moment of silence

I bit my lip standing there and flinched as the door flew open, I looked up as he walked out angrily going down the hall.

I stood there watching him go upstairs with a clenched jaw and hard eyes making me sighed.I looked next to me and gasped as Mason was there staring at me "Jesus you scared me" I said slapping his chest and he chuckled pulling me inside by my waist.

"I never heard him snap like that. Do you think he'll be okay?" I asked as he closed the door. "He'll be fine" Mason shrugged carelessly kissing my forehead

"Are you sure?"

"Why are you so worried about him?" He muttered jealously making me roll my eyes. "Oh relax. He's like a brother to me" I said wrapping my arms around his neck playing with his hair. He grumbled holding me against his chest smelling my hair making

me smile.

"You are mine" he growled lowly biting my ear, "oh shut up" I said tugging at his hair. I squealed as he picked he up throwing me on the couch making me giggle.

I knocked on the door softly making Evan whom was watching Scott sleep look up at me. "Hey" he smiled

"Hey. How's he doing?" I asked walking in "a little pain in the butt. I love it" he said making me smile.

He was honestly a great father.

"So what's up?" He asked looking at me "I wanted to talk about last night" I said and he sighed making me bite my lip. "I heard you talking to Mason in his office. It's not all his fault you know" I said.

"It's also my fault too" I said making him chuckle humourlessly. "You haven't seen the things that he can do... And I hope to god you don't see what I've seen him do" he said darkly making me tense.

"He's known as the most feared alpha for a reason. Remember that" he mumbled making me look down. "I know he's not like that around you... But I don't want to risk anything" he said

"I know. I'm sorry... I just couldn't let him stay there with her near him" I mumbled making him sigh. I bit my lip standing there as he stared at Scott, "can you tell me?" I mumbled making him look at me.

"Tell you what?"

"What he's done... Why he's the most feared Alpha?" I said thinking about when Mason ripped that mans heart out in the forest... His smile.

"I don't think you should know" he said shaking his head "I need to know" I whispered looking at him with pleading eyes.

"He's a good guy. You know he's been through so much" he said running his fingers through his hair. "Evan please" I whispered

"I wouldn't even know where to start" he said "how many people has he killed?" I asked and he chuckled. "I don't know the exact number-"

"estimate it or something"

"Well I know he's... He's wiped out 4 packs" he mumbled making me freeze "4... Everyone? Even kids?"

"I don't think kids... I think he sent them away after he killed everyone... Jordyn I don't really think you should know. He wouldn't want me telling you any of this" he said nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"Just forget last night okay?" He said standing up but all I could think about are those packs...

He murdered 4 entire packs.

"Look at me" Evan said and I looked up at him "he's not like that anymore. Not since you've came into his life okay?" He whispered and I just slowly nodded.

"I shouldn't have told you that" he sighed hugging me, I wrapped my arms around him putting my face in his shoulder and he held the back of my head holding me.

Daddy used to hold me like this. His big hand holding the back of my head and his arms around me tightly. It was so comforting. It felt safe.

I sniffles tightening my hold around him closing my eyes, "Jordyn?"

"I just need a hug" I whispered making him sigh holding me tighter. We froze hearing a low growl from behind me, I turned around seeing Mason standing there glaring at Evan.

"Mason calm down" I said

"What the hell is going on here?" He growled angrily, "shh. Scott is sleeping" I whispered and tensed as he walked in glaring at Evan. "Get your hands off her-"

"Mason just calm down. Nothing happened" I said putting my hand on his chest pushing me. "Is this why your so protective? Huh you want what's mine?-"

"Do you hear yourself right now? She's like a sister to me Mason. I wouldn't do anything to hurt her or you. You should know that by now!" Evan said and I heard Scott coo making me look at him.

His lip quivered and he began whimpering opening his eyes. "Ever since she came here you've been telling me how to act to her. Telling me all this bullshit-"

"Yeah to help your fucking relationship. I don't think of her like that. I have my own mate" Evan snapped "seriously guys just stop it" I said as Scott cried.

I looked at Evan seeing he was glaring at Mason in silence. They're probably talking in the mind link, I sighed going to Scott picking him up. "Come on handsome" I said holding him and he curled up against my chest whimpering. I looked around for his pacifier and spotted it on his bed, I put it up putting it in his mouth stopping his cries.

Mason growled walking closer to Evan "Mason stop!"I yelled covering Scott ears, "he needs to learn a lesson!" Mason growled

"I didn't tell her anything-"

"You've said enough!" Mason yelled "Mason!"

"She wanted to know what you did-"

"So you tell her-"

"I made him tell me. He didn't tell me much so please just stop it. You're over exaggerating" I said making him glare at me.

"All I ever did was try and help your relationship and made sure she was safe-"

"Why don't you worry about your own mate and stay away from mine?" Mason growled "I care about her too! I care about both of you"

"Your too busy focusing on us that you don't know anything real about your mate!" Mason growled making me freeze completely.

"Mason don't you dare!" I yelled as Evan frowned "what the hell are you talking about? I know my mate" he said angrily.

"Oh really?"

"Mason!" I growled making Evan look at me with a confused look. 'You promised not to tell him' I whispered in our mind link. "What does he mean?" He asked

"Nothing" I said making Mason snort, I glared at him to shut up. "What are you guys keeping from me?"

"Where is she? Anna?" Mason asked making me clench my jaw anxiously "she's busy with wedding preparations. What's it to you?" Evan said tensely.

"Is she really there?"

"Mason please!" I said standing in front of him, "what the hell are you talking about?" Evan frowned "I'm talking about-"

I quickly grabbed the pressure point on his neck and gasped as he fell to the floor unconscious.

'What the hell did you do?!' Sarafina said wide eyed, I stood there wide eyed holding Scott in my arms.

"Jordyn?" Evan said tensely

"Here" I whispered going to him handing him Scott "jordyn tell me. What was he talking about?" He whispered with helpless eyes making my chest tighten.

"I can't tell you" I whispered going to Mason, "God damn it tell me!" He yelled making me flinch.

I put Mason's head on my lap looking around, I don't want to tell him.

'Don't' Sarafina said

He deserves to know. It's his mate.

"Jordyn!" He snapped making me flinch and Scott whimper. "Anna... She's..." I lost my sense of words sitting there holding Mason's shirt in my fist.

"She's what?" Evan frowned

"She's the mole" I whispered making him freeze

"What did you just say?" He whispered making me gulp...
