Chapter 16- Something's different

Jordyn's p.o.v

"Luna? Luna can you hear me?" I heard a voice echo and I moaned feeling the burning pain run down my spine.

Soon it started feeling like I was being burned alive as my skin got hotter and hotter, my breathing got thicker and soon it was hard to breathe. "Don't panic. Stay calm alright?" I heard and I knew it was Dr. Reynolds.

"It hurts" i whimpered clenching my hands into fists "I know. I'm doing my best alright? Just stay calm and focus on my voice" he said softly as I felt the burning get worse.

Oh god.

It hurts so badly.

"Mason" I whispered needing his touch badly. "he's on his way alright?" He said as I felt the tears roll down my cheeks.

I want Mason.

I need him.

I heard the door open and whimpered smelling Mason's scent. "She's awake?" His husky voice asked making me shiver.

"She's conscious" Reynolds said

"Mason" i whimpered trying to move to his voice "don't move. You're connected to an IV" Reynolds said and I just whimpered. I gasped loudly feeling the strong tingles, "Mason" I whispered "I'm here" he said touching me.

I slowly reached towards his voice ignoring the pain and grabbed his shirt trying to pull him closer. "Can I get on the bed with her?" Mason asked

"Just be careful with the IV" Reynolds said and I felt the bed dip, I gasped feeling his arms wrap around me and the tingles erupt all over my body.

Soon the pain started easing down.

Mason kissed my mark holding me and I squeezed his arm, "you're okay now" he whispered.

"It hurts" I whispered into his chest holding his muscular arm close to me feeling his warm skin.

"I know. It'll be over soon" he said kissing my head holding me.

I laid there trying to open my eyes but nothing came, I couldn't move. "Relax" he whispered in my ear and I felt limp in his arms being pulled back into the darkness...

I sighed inhaling deeply and my eyes snapped open. I looked around seeing I was in the pack infirmary laying in bed, I moaned feeling my body was so sore as if i was working out for hours yesterday. I slowly went to sit up but a hand shot out grabbing my arm making me gasp loudly.

"Don't sit up"

"Anna" I sighed in relief and she smiled hugging me, "Evan told me everything that happened. I'm so sorry" she said moving my hair and i just sighed holding on to her, she put the bed in a sitting position and leaned me back against it, "Where's Mason?" i asked

"There's a pack meeting going on. I was told to keep an eye on you" she smiled saluting me making me chuckle "Do you need anything?" she asked "Can i have some water?" i asked "Coming right up" she smiled running across the room. I sat there watching her and closed my eyes

'Sarafina?'

-Silence-

I bit my lip sitting there trying to feel her but I couldn't. "Here you go. i put some ice chips in there. take slow sips" Anna said handing me a cup, I held it with one shaking hand and she helped me drink some holding the cup for me. "There you go" she smiled and i licked my dry lips. I leaned back sighing and looked at her as she smiled. Something seemed different about her... She was glowing.

"You look different" I mumbled sitting there and she smiled biting my lip "Because I am" she said and i frowned.

she sat down smiling "I'm pregnant" she said and my eyes widened "What?" i said and she smiled nodding putting her hand on her stomach. "Congragulations!" I said smiling widely and she giggled hugging me happily.

I smiled looking at her then the door opened, We looked up and I sighed in relief at that intoxicating scent, Mason stood there looking at me and Anna smirked. "I'll leave you two alone" she smiled winking at me and walked out. Mason closed the door behind him never taking his eyes off me, "Hi" I said.

He walked to me cupping my face and kissed me hard, I held his arm kissing back feeling the tingles go down my body replacing the pain.

He pulled away sighing and I bit my lip "what was that for?" I whispered. "I'm just glad you're okay" he said and I smiled looking at him.

"Were you worried about me?" I grinned and he chuckled moving my hair. "I always do" he said sitting on the bed next to me and I leaned on him feeling the warmth radiating off him.

"How did we get here?" I asked drinking more water, "I carried you here. Left as soon as it was over" he said. "Is my dad here or no?" I asked and he shook his head making me look down feeling my heart sink.

"Oh" I mumbled

"I was too pissed off at them" he said moving my hair. "It wasn't their fault-"

"But they still lied to you. Made you go through that for years" he said and I sighed. "They were trying to protect me" I said.

"What a way to protect you" he scoffed shaking his head, "can I see them again?" I asked and he just sighed "you need rest" he said. "I feel fine-"

"You're going to rest" he said sternly and I pouted looking down. "I can easily go back you know" I mumbled and he chuckled humourlessly "try it and you'll see what happens" he said lowly making me shiver.

"You can't control me forever you know" I said leaning my head back against his shoulder looking at him. "Just get some rest" he said stroking my hair softly, I curled up against his chest biting my lip.

"We need to go back..."

"Shh" he said putting his hand on my face and I giggled grabbing his wrist "we'll talk later. Just rest now... Please" he said and I sighed closing my eyes snuggling closer to him.

I jerked awake quickly almost falling off the bed hearing Sarafina howling loudly, I looked around the dark room and saw Mason sleeping next to me.

'Sarafina?'

She howled again trying to claw her way out and I felt my body burning. I sat up slowly feeling how anxious she was.

'Sarafina, what's going on?'

'The forest. Go! Now!' She growled lowly making me gulp, she's never spoken to me like that before.

I looked down at the tubes and the IV inside of me and looked at Mason sleeping. I inhaled deeply and quickly pulled them out of me wincing.

Sarafina howled again growling loudly, I climbed off the bed feeling weak and held my side limping towards the door. I quietly sneaked out and bit my lip in pain.

'Now!' She yelled and I flinched, 'what is wrong with you? Why are you acting this way?' I asked walking to the back door quietly.

'Just go!' She said and I stumbled out the house going down the back porch. I froze hearing a howl in the forest making the shivers go down my spine.

'Who is that?' I whispered feeling myself being pulled towards it, 'go!' Sarafina yelled and I walked towards the forest. I gasped falling on my knees and growled feeling her taking over quickly.

I whimpered feeling the pain in my body intensify as all the bones broke. I stood up on all fours and panted looking around.

Soon she took off running quickly towards the howling wolf. I frowned as it was a howl in pain, 'Sarafina! who is it?!'

She's running to it as if she knows it.

Who could it be?

We ran deeper in the forest quickly and I whimpered as my legs were burning and tightening up. She came to a halt digging her nails in the dirt panting and I looked around nervously, I heard a low howl close by tensing up and she walked to it.

We walked towards a lake and my eyes widened seeing a wolf... Not just any wolf...

A white wolf.

Sarafina stepped on a twig making it growl quickly standing up. She growled back making it freeze, we slowly walked to it and it limped to us slowly.

'Can we trust him?' I whispered nervously, 'he's my brother. Of course we can' she sighed.

Brother?

He sniffed me quietly and Sarafina sniffed him inhaling his minty scent. He looked at us with his bright blue eyes and whimpered licking my face laying on the ground.

'He's hurt' I said and she licked his fur, I frowned watching her. She's never done this to anyone before, she grabbed the back of his neck with her teeth pulling him through the woods.

I grunted as he was so heavy, how can she manage this?

Soon we saw the pack house in view, 'we need to get Dr. Reynolds' I said and she growled. 'He can help him' I said looking at her and she looked down at the unconscious wolf.

She pulled him behind a tree and ran into the house quietly going upstairs to our bedroom.

I whimpered shifting into human form quickly and laid on the ground in pain. I pulled myself up trying to ignore the pain and put on Mason's shirt grabbing a blanket.

I ran downstairs quickly running out the back and towards the tree looking at the wolf.

I covered it in the sheet petting its soft fur.

'Jordyn!!' I heard Mason yell in the mind link. 'I'm out back!' I said nervously, soon he came walking out quickly looking pissed off as usual.

He spotted me and growled inhaling my scent "you shifted! I told you-"

"We need Dr. Reynolds" I said "you ripped out your tubes. How could you be so stupid?!" He said walking to me and froze at the wolf.

"Sarafina made me leave. He's hurt and he called out to her. I couldn't stop it" I said and he just looked at him. "Where is he hurt?"

"I don't know but She can feel his pain" I said stroking his fur, "I'll get him" he said walking away and I looked down at the wolf.

I've never seen another white wolf in person before. It's actually pretty cool... We look exactly the same besides him being bigger.

I heard footsteps and looked up seeing Mason and Reynolds walking to us quickly. "Another white wolf?" Reynolds said frowning.

"He's in a lot of pain"

"Well you both did go through the same thing just a few hours ago" he said and Mason walked to me.

"Let's get you both inside" he said picking me up and I winced wrapping my arms around him quickly. I put my face in his neck hoping the tingles would just get rid of everything all together but it only did some of its job.

"I'm sorry" I whispered in his ear and he just tightened his grip around me.

I laid on my side watching Reynolds fix up the wolf putting the tubes in him. "Why hasn't he shifted?" I asked "his human form is too weak" he said looking at me.

"Will he be okay?" I asked

"He'll be just fine, Luna" he smiled softly at me. He took off the gloves and walked to me, "now let's check on you" he said lifting my shirt.

"My wolf is protective of him... I've never seen her act that way before" I mumbled to no one in particular. "Well you two basically share the same wolf" he said and I looked at him.

"remember your all one powerful wolf split up. There were 12 of you and now it's only you two left so all of the others powers were passed on into your wolves" he said and I cringed as he inserted a tube in my side.

"But what does that have to do with her acting so different?" I asked. "Both of your wolves share a bond no one else has ever experienced before. It's more powerful than a mates bond actually. How should I put this..." He mumbled to himself injecting some clear liquid in me and I looked at him beginning to feel my eye lids getting heavier.

"What I'm trying to say is that you two were made in a same pod" he said and I frowned "like twins?" I said and he nodded "yes but so much more powerful" he said and I just looked at the wolf on the other bed.

"What do you think is going to happen?" I whispered and he just sighed "I don't know Luna. But what I do know is that you both need to rest for a very long time" he said and I grumbled making him chuckle.

"Get some sleep Luna. I'll check in on you two in the morning" he said and I smiled "thank you" I said and he just smiled walking out.

I sighed biting my lip staring at the unconscious wolf before drifting off...

I inhaled sharply feeling the tingles take over the pain making me moan. "Shh" I heard Mason whisper in my ear wrapping his arms around me. "Mason" I mumbled sleepily "I'm here kitten" he said kissing my shoulder and I snuggled closer to him.

"We... you should give Reynolds a day off" I whispered and he chuckled "what?" He said. "Ever since I've came here he's been working a lot" I said sleepily.

"He's done more than this before. He can handle it" he said and I shook my head opening my eyes slowly, "but-"

"Shh. Go back to sleep" he said covering my mouth with his hand and I put my face in his neck sighing. He let go of my mouth and wrapped his arm around my waist.

I opened my eyes nipping at his skin making him jump up, "don't cover my mouth like that again" I said and he growled lowly in my ear making me giggle.

"I'm not making any promises" he said and I smiled closing my eyes snuggling closer to his warmth.
