Chapter 13~ Answers

I sat on the rock facing the forest waiting for Mason to come. For some reason my body was on fire and receiving cold shocks down my spine.

I looked behind me at the dark pack house where everyone was asleep, Evan was on the back porch sitting on the bench swing. He looked at me nodding and I bit my lip looking forward, I tensed hearing footsteps making me tense.

"He's here" I whispered knowing Evan could hear me. I stood up and tensed seeing him and he looked pissed, he looked up at me with black eyes and shifted into his human form growling.

I jumped down from the rock and quickly ran go him, "Mason-"

"Don't even fucking speak!" He spat angrily, I walked to him wrapping my arms around his neck tightly and he froze.

'Are you crazy? Never get this close to a pissed off Alpha' Sarafina hissed trying to get me to move but I just tightened my arms around his neck standing on my tippy toes.

"What are you doing?" He muttered frowning

"I missed you" I mumbled hugging him, "you shouldn't have fucking left then" he growled. I nuzzled my face in his neck inhaling his scent feeling the burning sensation go away.

He sighed wrapping his arm around my waist putting his face in my hair inhaling my scent.

"Please don't be mad" I said

"Mad?... Mad" he chuckled testing out the word shaking his head, I looked at him nervously "I'm fucking furious" he growled with black eyes making me gulp.

"I'm sorry. I needed to check on them-"

"Don't" he growled lowly and I looked down, "Evan!" He barked angrily and I heard Evan quickly walk to us.

"We're leaving" he said

"No! We can't-"

"I wasn't fucking asking" he growled grabbing my wrist roughly, "Mason, hear us out-"

"I told you to watch her!" He yelled "I was! I did!" Evan said

"You let her leave" Mason growled tightening his grip on my wrist making me cringe in pain.

"Mason, you're hurting her" Evan said looking at me "we are leaving" Mason said yanking me. "No!" I said trying to pull my wrist back

"Jordyn enough!" He yelled as I struggled, I sat on the ground quickly only to be dragged, I growled pulling myself back but he yanked me up and put me over his shoulder.

"Mason! Will you just listen?!" I yelled hitting his back, "Why should I? You never listen to me" he growled walking away.

"Evan, tell him!" I said quickly

"But you said-"

"Tell him" I said making Mason stop, "tell me what?" He frowned and Evan sighed. "Your father is back" he said and I felt Mason tense up.

"What the hell are you talking about?" He growled, "he was spotted by their boarder with a few other people" Evan explain as I tried to get down but Mason tightened his grip around me.

"He's going to attack..." Evan mumbled looking at me and I nodded holding on to Mason's back.

"Just say it" I whispered shaking my head

"He's coming for Jordyn" Evan sighed and Mason tensed up even more, "Why?"

"Cause she's a white wolf-"

"So?"

"Remember what I said about the hunters... People hunting all the white wolves... He's one of them. He killed Jordyn's mother" he said and I gasped as Mason almost dropped me. I held on the him as my feet hit the floor

"He killed her mom?" He said and I looked up at him, he looked at me with an unreadable look in his eyes.

Guilt, anger, regret?

"When was he last spotted?" Mason asked looking at Evan "their southern border. They see his red eyes a lot" Evan said and Mason growled lowly.

"We're all working on a plan" I said touching his arm and he looked at me "a plan? Just fucking kill him" he said and I gulped looking at Evan.

"It's not that simple. He has other people with him-"

"Kill them to"

"Mason" I sighed looking at him "the answer is not always going to be killing people"

"They want to touch what's mine" he growled pulling me closer to him, "and they won't" Evan said.

He tightened his grip around me and I felt the vibration from his chest indicating that he was growling lowly.

"Can we stay? At least till morning to talk it out?" I asked and he tensed shaking his head "Mason please" I whispered.

"Fine" he growled and I sighed "but I'm not staying in that house" he said "why not? You can't stay out here" I scoffed and he looked down at me with hard eyes.

"I'm not going in there" he growled

Now he's just being childish

He growled looking at me and I just touched his jaw, I watched as his black eyes slowly turned back into his hazel ones making him clench his jaw.

"Please just stay in the house. Alpha Derek said-"

"He's not your alpha" he growled and I sighed "he'll always be my alpha. And he's willing to let you stay in the house tonight-"

"No" he growled "Mason!" I sighed loudly in annoyance, "be reasonable-"

"Reasonable?! I tell you to do one thing and you disobey me! Why in gods name should I be fucking reasonable?!" He yelled loudly.

"Keep your voice down! They're sleeping-"

"Like I care. We're leaving" he growled grabbing me making me frown.

"You said we can wait till morning!" I said "I change my mind" he spat angrily.

"I'm not leaving" I said crossing my arms over my chest and he chuckled humourlessly stepping closer to me.

"Like you have a choice" he said lowly going to pick me up but I backed away quickly.

"No!" I snapped and he glared at me, "I'm not leaving! We are going to fucking stay here and wait till morning to talk to everyone and find out what the fuck is going on!" I yelled stomping my foot angrily.

"Jordyn-"

"No! Enough cutting me off!" I growled and he looked at me surprised "we are staying here and we are going to find out what exactly is happening and what will happen. You may not have a family or just don't care but I do. I have a family and they are in that house. That is my pack!"

"They are not your-"

"Yes they are! My family is in there and I sure as hell won't let them die because of me" I growled looking at him.

"If you don't come with me, I'll drag you back" he growled lowly

"Then I'll just run right back" I said shrugging

"I'll lock you in the cells and chain you up" he said

"Then I'll find a way to escape! You can't keep me from my family. I am not a child and you're definitely not my father. My father is in that house and I am not leaving him" I said walking closer to him angrily.

"Jordyn" Evan said in a warning tone.

"So you can either stay in the house until morning with me or go back home because I am not leaving without answers. I'm tired of you bossing me around and controlling everything. For once this will go my way or I sure as hell will make your life a living hell Mason" I growled looking up at his giant angry, growling figure.

"Stop growling and choose your pick because I am done with your bullshit" I spat and walked away towards the house.

'Holy. Shit... You did not just do that!' Sarafina said wide eyed.

"Stop pouting" I sighed laying there and Mason just growled at me "I don't want to be in this house" he muttered looking around.

"So go home" I said and he just laid there glaring at the ceiling. I hugged my pillow sighing and closed my eyes.

"You didn't have to stay" I mumbled "you yelled at me" he muttered "so?"

"Nobody has ever spoken to me like that" he said looking at me and I opened my eyes looking at me. "I don't really care if it pissed you off even more-"

"No. I'm just pissed off about how much I liked it" he muttered and I looked at him surprised. "You liked it?" I frowned and he nodded, "it was hot... You really turned me on back there. Took me a lot of strength not to pin you down to the ground and fuck you hard" he muttered and I shivered at the thought.

"In front of evan?" I chuckled and he just smirked. "So you liked being yelled at" I said "by you. Yes" he sighed and I chuckled staring at his face.

"What made you snap?"

"What do you think? I really want to help them and you were trying to take me away from that. You really know how to push my buttons" I mumbled and he snorted.

"Well so do you... You don't know how pissed off I was when I saw you were gone. God your the most frustrating female I've ever met" he growled and I smiled.

"That wasn't a compliment" he muttered shaking his head and I chuckled "well you're the most frustrating Male I've ever met. You've beaten my Dad in that category" I said and he rolled his eyes making me smile.

I leaned over kissing his cheek and he looked at me, "thank you for staying" I whispered. He sighed putting his arm around me, "I can't stay away from you for long. I crave for you when you've even been away for 10 minuets" he muttered.

"I missed you too... I think that's why I wasn't feeling to good... " I said putting my head on his chest, "we need each other more than we think" he sighed putting his face in my hair inhaling my scent.

"I'm still going to punish you for leaving though" he muttered "punish me? What do you mean?" I said wide eyed

"You know exactly what I mean. I just haven't figured out what I'm going to do" he said stroking my back.

"Gonna spank me?" I teased and he chuckled "you just wait and see kitten" he smirked and I blushed laying there thinking about being spanked.

Oh my...

'And I'm the freak?' Sarafina smirked making me blush.

"He's really here?" Xavier said wide eyed "yeah. I'm pretty surprised to" I said leaning against the counter peeling my orange.

"People are nervous..." He said quietly

"I could imagine" I sighed eating and he sighed leaning on the counter. "Are you happy?... With him" he asked quietly and I looked at him.

"He's my mate. Of course I am. No matter how much of a pain in the ass he is" I said and he chuckled.

"I miss having you around here. It's pretty boring now" he said and I smiled, "aww you Miss me?" I teased and he rolled his eyes smiling.

He turned his back to me grabbing another water bottle and I looked at his bare back looking at the wolf tattoo.

I shivered feeling Mason's eyes on me and looked behind me seeing him standing there tensely.

"Hey" I said and he just looked at Xavier then me, "That's my cue to leave" Xavier muttered walking away and I sighed wishing they would get along some day.

"You hungry?" I asked facing him.

"Why was he half naked?" He muttered walking to me, "he's always like that" I said and he just growled.

"Mason in this pack we've all seen each other naked. We're werewolves for crying out loud-"

"So?!"

"Here we all run together in a group. We've all grown up with each other. Comfortable with each other. We're one big happy family" I chuckled

"Oh god" he muttered rolling his eyes and I sighed leaning on the counter, "you two have the same tattoo" he muttered touching my shoulder.

"Yeah. Got it last year"

"When you were a couple" he muttered bitterly, "yes. But it's also a symbol of our friendship" I said

"I hate him" he muttered and I sighed rolling my eyes, "Too bad" I chuckled and he narrowed his eyes at me.

I smirked up at him and he sighed looking around, "I hate this place" he muttered "stop being so grumpy" I chuckled and he just grumbled under his breath making me shake my head.

"Don't worry. Once this is finished we'll just go back" I said eating my orange and he just looked around scowling.

I walked closer to him and he looked down at me, I fed him an orange slice and he sighed eating it biting my fingertip making me jump.

He smirked chewing and I stood on my tippy toes peeking his lips. He grabbed my waist quickly and bent his head lower deepening the kiss.

I closed my eyes feeling the Sparks going through each nerve on my body making me shudder.

He ran his hands down my waist and placed them in my back pockets pressing my body against his.

Someone cleared their throat making me pull away blushing, Mason growled lowly and I held his arm looking behind him seeing my Dad standing there uncomfortably.

"Good morning Daddy" I said walking to him and stood on my tippy toes kissing his cheek.

He smiled kissing my forehead and sighed moving my hair, "I missed you Cookie Monster" he said and I chuckled hugging him inhaling his scent.

"I missed you So much more" I whispered closing my eyes and he kissed my head. "Come on. Derek is ready for us" he said kissing my head and I nodded.

I looked back at Mason as he was just staring at us and held my hand out for him. He slowly took it squeezing it and we walked down the hall to the Alpha's office.

"Be nice... Please" I whispered before we walked in.

"We'll see-"

"Mason I mean it... Please" I said looking up at him and he just sighed squeezing my hand before walking in.

I bit my lip looking around seeing Evan sitting on the couch next to Luna. Alpha was sitting at his desk with Dad standing at his side.

I closed the door sighing and Mason stood there tensely, I shook my head and walked to Alpha Derek. "Good morning" I said kissing his cheek and he smiled at me, "hope you all slept well" he said and I heard Mason grumble.

I looked at him and he clenched his jaw keeping his mouth shut. "Alpha Mason. Nice to see you again" Alpha said politely even though I know he doesn't mean it.

Mason nodded at him sitting down and Evan stood behind him, I sat on the couch next to Luna Marie and she held my hand smiling at me moving my hair behind my ear.

"Let's get started. When was the last time you've seen your father?" Alpha asked leaning forward.

"About 4 years ago. I kicked him out" Mason said leaning back in his seat folding his legs.

"Why?"

"Personal reasons" he muttered with hard eyes clearly saying that he's not going to talk about it.

Alpha nodded and laid out a map, "This is a map of my territory. The marks are where he and his group have been spotted"

"That's all over the boarder" Evan said looking, "they haven't attacked?"

"No. Just sightings of them-"

"He's waiting for something. That's what he does" Mason muttered staring at the map.

"What does he want exactly? Just to kill me?" I asked making them look at me, "There's been a rumour about the legend-"

"Mom told me stories" I nodded

"But she didn't tell you everything... What she went through" Dad said and I frowned

"what do you mean?... W-what did she go through?" I asked.

Dad sighed running his fingers through his hair and walked to me, "what? Why the dramatic pause?" I muttered nervously.

Oh god.

What happened to my mother really?

"Did we ever tell you how your mother and I met?" He asked and I bit my lip looking down.

Have they?

"Now that I think about it... No" I mumbled looking at him "your mother wasn't apart of this pack. None of the White wolves were" he said and I frowned "I thought she was born here" I whispered.

"We met outside by the boarder. I was patrolling the area... And she showed up"

"We don't have time for love stories" Mason muttered rolling his eyes "trust me this is no love story" Dad growled at him making him clench his jaw.

"What happened next?" I asked leaning closer to him, "she wasn't herself. The White wolf pack. The 12 wolves. They were separated. Some taken to some facility and was tortured-"

"What?" I whispered in horror.

"What facility?" Evan frowned "we don't know where it is... But what we do know is that they were being tortured. They wanted information about the council. Some big secret that none of them really knew" dad said shaking his head.

"That's why they were made weren't they? The council knows something and created the White wolves to be their guard dogs so nobody could get to them" Evan said and Dad nodded.

My heart leaped to my chest staring at his pained expression. "Mom was one of them... Wasn't she?" I whispered and he looked at me.

He nodded looking down and I just closed my eyes thinking about them hurting her. "She had managed to escape somehow. And she walked for days just covered in blood, so skinny that her bones were showing. She was so terrified... Then she smelled my scent and followed it... That's when I found her. I knew she was my mate the moment I smelled her so I took her here and we took care of her" he said.

"She stood here and was kept hidden for a while... But somehow word got out that she was alive and just gave birth... And they wanted her and the child" he said tensely.

I grabbed his hand holding it and he looked down holding my hand. "Then.. That's when..." He looked down shaking his head and I gulped feeling his pain.

"That's the day the Shadow pack attacked us... The day she was killed... So that's why that wolf was coming for me wasn't it? When I was hiding in the closet with Xavier?" I asked and he nodded.

"Why call it off?"

"She told them you were dead... T-then they killed her" he whispered and I closed my eyes picturing that day and shivered squeezing his hand.

"Why now?" Evan mumbled and I looked at Dad. "Nobody was supposed to know you were alive... Word must've got out. Again"

"You have a mole then" Mason muttered and we looked at him. "No... Who could betray us like that?" Luna Marie asked and I just sat there.

"There has to be someone. This is the second time word has gone out" Mason said and I looked at Dad's face.

"What do we do? They could attack at any moment"

"There's only 3 White wolves left..." Alpha sighed "we shouldn't bring them together Derek" Dad said.

"They'll be stronger" Alpha said looking at the back of Dad's head. "You know where the other two are?" I whispered and he nodded.

"Dad is right... We can't bring them here it's too dangerous. If they're coming after White wolves why bring them all together?" I asked shaking my head and Alpha sighed.

"If your all together then you'll be unstoppable" he said and I shook my head. "It's suicide" I said

"No. What's suicide is waiting here until they get you" he said and I gulped.

"They won't" Mason growled

"I don't see you sharing ideas" Alpha muttered, "I'll just speak with my father. Set up a trap" Mason said and Alpha frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"I'll tell him I'm mated to the last female white wolf. The one he's been after. Then He'll come running to me... We can try to get answers from him... Then kill him" Mason said shrugging carelessly.

"Mason... You really want to put yourself through that? Seeing his face" Evan whispered wide eyed.

"He wants what's mine. He won't take her away from me" Mason growled clenching his fists. I stared at him and he looked at me with dark eyes.

'Calm down...' I mind linked to him.

He sighed unclenching his fist nodding at me, "I don't know about this" Evan said "we should try" Alpha nodded and I just tightened my hand around Dad's.

He stared at the floor and I knew he was thinking about Mom. I sighed leaning forward putting my head on his, "she's still here" I whispered holding the back of his neck.

He nodded holding my hand, "I know..." He whispered Kissing my hand. I sighed kissing his head hugging him and closed my eyes.

I know Mom is still with us...
