[Chapter 1: Beginnings Start With Death]

How did it even come to this...?

Ignoring the very loud cries of someone laying right next to me, all I could do was stare at the ceiling. Sure, what I did was a stupid mistake but—

I slapped the baby next to me with my own chubby hand. How in the fuck did I turn into a baby?!

Okay, okay, back track.

So once upon a time, it was just a normal day to me. I woke up, went to work, almost cried at work, dragged myself to a McDonald's, and then walked home. Simple, right?

Well, it could've if I had just decided to take the scenic route.

Walking towards the alley, I had looked away from my phone in the sharp smell of iron. Never a good sign, I tell you. I noticed that it was coming from the alleyway so knowing me, I ignored all red flags and peered right in.

The first thing I noticed was two bodies: one with a knife in his hands and the other—

With so many stab wounds.

In an instant, my whole entire body felt the utter dread as cold sweat dripped down my face. In a panic, I let out a gasp— huge mistake. The person— murderer— whipped their head. The very moment they took a step forward, I fucking booked it.

Despite just starting, my lungs already felt the burn. My head was lightheaded— it could have been because of my survival instincts to run, run, I didn't look back— I don't think I could. Not when my life was on the line— not when adrenaline took over me.

Perhaps that was my downfall.

I barely remember being in the middle of the streets when all fo the sudden, a bright light headed my way. My face felt like mush but I could see the large headlights of Truck-kun heading my way. Did I even hear anything?

My body felt weak, relying all too much on the adrenaline that was long gone. I had no energy left with the murderer still pursuing me. It was as if... I gave up. I probably looked like an ugly idiot before I got one last smashing hug from Truck-kun.

At least I died in style.

But when I came to (which was weird because I'm pretty sure I was dead) I was welcomed with warmth, all over my body. I could feel like I was being held, but it was a comfortable hold, not a hold a murderer would have. Like a mom's, something I never knew.

I suddenly heard a cry near me, it was a baby's I think. I could hear shuffling as soon the baby was in the same arms I was in.

"Fugaku, look! ...little children... adorable?" A voice, so feminine only a woman could have it. I couldn't recognize some of the words. Are they speaking Japanese?

"They are our children alright!" Came a masculine voice, probably Fugaku. Wait, why was that name familiar? Weird.

"Look Itachi... new siblings!" Itachi? Why was that even more familiar? Am I missing something? "Darling... names?" I guess that makes sense since there was a new baby but wait- I thought there was only one?

"I already know!" Okay, I understood that. "Their names will be Megumi and Sasuke Uchiha!"

No no, I must be mishearing things. Sasuke, as in, the Sasuke Uchiha?! The absolute handsome asshole in Naruto?!?!

No.

No, no bad.

Wait-

But who is Megumi? Megumi never existed and Sasuke never had a-

No.

Nononononononononononononononononono-

.

It was that time, that I, now known as Megumi Uchiha, realized how I was.
