《The Road To Nowhere (Matt Tuck Fanfic)》2

"Holy fucking shit!"

I was startled awake by someone cursing out loud. Matt I think it was.

Sitting up and pushing the covers off of me, I grabbed a hair tie from the small shelf of the bunk and jumped down to the floor, tying my hair up as I walked into the kitchen area.

Sure enough Matt was standing there in his jogging bottoms, with a more than frustrated look on his face. I watched for a few moments as he attempted to pour pancake batter into the pan in front of him then groan out in anger as he spilt it over the side, having some of it catch the flame and sizzle up.

"Hey Gordon Ramsey, what's setting that temper of yours off today?" I joked, hoping he'd calm down a bit.

He looked over at me for a second, a defeated look washed across his face and he lent his head forward agaisnt the cupboard above him and mumbled something to himself.

"Great, so that fucking failed. We should have just waited for you to wake up then we would have gone with the boys, had a nice breakfast that wasn't burnt! All I wanted to do was sit down with you and do a nice thing for you and just-"

"Wait hold on, you were trying to do this for me?" I interrupted. He always had that habit of giving to much away once he started on his rants.

"I... Well, you know I just... I thought that, just... You know..." He stumbled over his words and looked nervously at the floor. He was so sweet sometimes.

"No, I don't know," I giggled. I walked over to him and grabbed his hand, leading him back over to the cooker.

"Right, let's try this again. Get me the flour and the eggs," I said, pointing over in the rough direction that they were in.

So that's how we spent the next half an hour. Me directing Matt around and helping him to make pancakes, eggs and bacon. I actually got him laughing at some points too, I felt pretty accomplished.

We placed all the cooked food onto two plates and Matt carried them over to the sofa were we sat down and turned on the Xbox that the guys had hooked up before the tour. He went onto Netflix and I chose to make him watch White Chicks. That movie was the best.

"I can't believe you've never seen this before!" I said, Matt just smiled and shook his head, making a start on his breakfast as I pressed play on the movie.

"Whaaaat the Fuck is going on in here 'ey?"

My head shot up towards the bus door to see the rest of the Bullet boys walking in and smirking at me and Matt. Taking notice of how Matt was partially laying on top of me with his hands on my waist from where he had been previously tickling me, I could see what the others were probably thinking.

Almost instantly, I stood up from the sofa and began to look busy, clearing our plates and taking them into the kitchen area.

"Uh, nothing was going on, I don't know what you're on about?" I replied, giving them an innocent look. They looked back at me suspiciously when we heard a door shut nearer the back of the bus.

Turning to see that Matt was no longer in the front with us, Moose made his way in the direction Matt had gone off to, to see what was wrong.

Moose's P.O.V

What could have been wrong with Matt all of a sudden? I mean when we walked in on the two of them, they seemed to be perfectly fine but as soon as Crystal got up and said that nothing was going on, I saw Matts face fall slightly and he went back to looking like his usual sad self.

I knocked on the door slightly and entered before waiting for a reply.

"Hey man, what's wrong?" I asked as I approached him. He was sat in the same corner as yesterday when he was moping about his breakup. As far as I now knew, him sitting in that corner was bad news.

"I'm so fucking stupid," Came his reply. He said it slowly with emphasis on each word he spoke. Ohhh, I knew where this was going.

"You like her, don't ya?" I asked, sitting next to him with a knowing smirk on my face.

"More than that Moose. I've liked her so much ever since she first met us and came on tour with us."

"But, you were still with Kimberly at that time?"

"I know, and because of that I tried forgetting about it and it worked... For a bit... And then we ended up in this bus, with these situations. I'll never get to have Crystal, seriously why would she look at some broken hearted mess like me?"

I looked at him and couldn't help but chuckle. God my best friend was so stupid sometimes.

"What the fuck are you laughing at?" He asked, slowly getting aggravated.

"God you are so blind sometimes! You think she isn't head over heels for you? Are you fucking nuts?! The way she looks at you when you're not facing her, her body language when she's around you. The first thing she wanted to do when she found out about you and Kim was walk in here and get you back on your feet. She would do anything if it meant making you happy. You know what? Here's what I'm gonna say, I want you and her together by the end of this tour, no ifs, buts or maybes," I replied, grinning like a mad man. Sometimes he really did need things spelt out to him.

I looked at him to see that his face had brightened up a bit at my words.

"You really think she likes me?" He asked. My god now he was acting like a shy school boy about to ask out his first crush.

"Yes! Now get out there and take her out for the day or something! Soundcheck is at 4pm so you have until then," I ordered him, pulling him up and pushing him through the door.

Crystals P.O.V

I was sat in my bunk finishing off my makeup when I heard Moose and Matt coming back out of the lounger. I hope Matt was Ok with whatever was wrong.

"...Soundcheck is at 4pm so you have until then," I overhead the last part of Moose's sentence before Matts head appeared by my bunk.

"Have until then for what?" I asked straight away, making Matt smile.

"I'm taking you out. Get dressed." Was all he said before running the back of his hand down the side of my face and tucking my hair behind my ear, then walking off to get dressed.

I sat there blushing like crazy before snapping back into reality and heading off to get my outfit chosen for the day. I kept thinking about the chills Matts touch had sent down the side of my neck, and how nervous that short moment had made me feel. God, maybe I was just going crazy... Yeah just going crazy, I'm sure it was nothing.

Once I exited the bathroom fully clothed, I grabbed my brush from my bunk shelf and ran it through my hair until there were no tangles. I left it down and added a black beanie to complete my outfit of dark blue skinny jeans, a black Machine Head tank top and one of Matts Metallica hoodies. My makeup was its usual, foundation, powder, filled in eyebrows, and a bit of eyeliner and mascara, and again, never forgetting my lavender tinted lipgloss.

I walked out to the front lounge to see everyone except for Matt, sitting on their arses doing nothing.

"Are you lot planning on doing anything today or not?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at them all.

"Playing Xbox."

"Eating food."

"Drinking beer."

Came the replies. I shook my head and chuckled a little, when I felt a pair of arms snake their way around either side of my waist.

"I seem to have misplaced my favourite Metallica hoodie, I was wondering if I could borrow your one instead?" I heard a voice speak up right by my ear. I fought back the shivers that were threatening to escape and replaced them with a small smile.

"Sorry, it looks cold outside, I'm afraid I can't give this one up," I replied as he smirked and rested his face dangerously close to the side of mine before he went to get a different hoodie. And I use the word dangerously in the sense that I wanted to turn and grab his face and smash his lips to mine if he stayed like that any longer.

Oh fuck it, I admit. I've totally and completely fallen in love with Matt Tuck since the first time I ever toured with them.

After recovering from my little daydream, I picked up my bag that had my phone and purse already in it, and waited for Matt at the front of the bus. He appeared a moment later with a plain black hoodie, matching simply with his black skinny jeans and Vengeance University tank top.

He quickly slipped on his converse and we headed off to the front of the bus, shouting goodbye to the others. We walked about for a bit with no particular destination, just catching up on what we'd each been up to since the last time we saw eachother. Me and Matt hadn't been able to sit down and have a nice decent conversation since we'd met up for this tour.

"... And so, with that, Moose grabs me by my waist -don't ask how coz I have no fucking idea, and runs from one side of the garden, to the edge of the pool, doesn't slow down, and canonballs into the water with me still in his arms!" Matt finished, with me laughing at the image put in my head.

"Wait wait, and throughout all of this, you had the blue dress on and the awful makeup?" I clarified.

"Yes! Although I'd say that I prefered the makeup before it had run everywhere all over my face."

I continued to laugh and looked out in front of me at the sea, which was rolling waves back and forth making soothing sounds. We had spent all day walking around town, messing about and buying a load of stuff. After we had lunch, we decided to sit on the beach for a bit and just chill out.

We carried on looking at the scene before us, when I felt Matts arm slowly make its way round my waist, almost like he was nervous about doing it. I smiled and snuggled into him, letting him know that it was Ok to have his arm there, until his phone rang the second we both got comfy. He fished the phone out of his pocket and answered it on loud speaker seeing as it was only Padge.

"Sup mate," Matt answered in a funny voice.

"Where the fuck are you?"

Matt looked up at me with wide eyes, trying to bite back a grin. He'd forgotten about Soundcheck.

"Shit.... Sorry just leaving be there in 10!" He rushed his sentence then hung up straight after before Padge could get another word in, then stood up, grabbing my hand and pulling me along as we ran to catch a taxi.

We arrived back at the venue within about 15 minutes and Matt wasted no time in dragging me into the hall and making me sit in front of the stage while he rushed up and grabbed his guitar to start.

Whilst waiting for them to start, I saw Moose staring at me with narrowed eyes. I raised my eyebrow in question before he spoke.

"Don't worry, nothing wrong. Was just looking at you two's hair for signs of sex," He said before kicking straight into their first song before me or Matt could say anything.

I sat there wide eyed and slightly embarrassed while Jay and Padge stood on stage laughing at a smiling Moose. Matt just smiled and shook his head, coming in with the lyrics as he played his parts on guitar.

As their Soundcheck went on, I found myself helplessly drifting off into small daydreams again and again about Matt, Thanks to Moose.

I shook the thoughts from my mind before they got to far and continued trying to focus on the boys playing on stage, which was difficult considering he was standing right there in front of me.

Their Soundcheck soon finished and they began to put away their instruments back where they were to be kept for tonight. I stood up and began to walk over to the stage where Matt jumped down and jogged over to me, smiling.

"What did you think?" He asked.

"It was good, I can't wait for tonight," I smiled. He seemed rather eager to get good feedback on the set list they had planned.

"You sure? Nothing you think we could change or add or whatever?"

"Yes I'm sure, it sounded great," I replied, just as the boys came and joined us.

"Don't worry Crys (Pronounced Chris) he just wants to make sure you're impressed tonight before he wines and dines you," Jay spoke up, winking in my direction and putting his arm around my shoulders in a friendly way.

I laughed until I saw a flash of emotion in Matts eyes. Jealousy maybe? Na, it couldn't be... I shook it off and excused myself from the boys, heading back off to the bus to get ready for tonight.

As I neared the bus I saw someone standing outside it, looking around like they were waiting for someone. She had a large suitcase with her and a child propped up on her hip. Oh god, it couldn't be her, could It?

I finally reached the bus and the woman turned around, revealing herself to be exactly who I thought it'd be. Kimberly.

"Where's Matt? He should be here right?" Her tone of voice sounded like she wanted the answer to be straight to the point.

"He's just finished up Soundcheck, he'll be out in a bit but I'm sure you're the last person he wants to see-"

I was cut off by someone shouting behind me. I looked back to see Matt running over, straight up to Ivan, his little boy and trying to take him from Kimberly while she hesitated on passing him over.

"Give him to me, he's my kid too!" Matt snapped, I could see the tears in his eyes that he was fighting back.

"No Matt, there's... There's something I'm here to tell you about but-"

"But what? First I have to take you back? First I have to forgive you for leaving without another word? No, I want to hold my little boy just for five minutes at least!" He cut off, Kimberly stood there for a second before shoving Ivan into Matts arms. Matt engulfed him into a tight hug almost instantly.

"Fine, but your gonna want to give him straight back when I own up," She huffed. As she said it Matt looked up at her confused, and I looked in the direction she was looking, realizing that she wasn't making contact with him.

Oh god, I can see someone walking this way. It was a guy. I knew what was gonna happen now.

"Own up to what?" I heard Matt demand.

He's going to be so broken.

I don't want him to hear whatever she's going to say.

I took a sharp breath in as I heard her begin to speak. I looked over at the boys who had now joined us and gave them a look. They had seen the 'mystery guy' too.

"Ivan's not yours."

There was a silence that seemed to go on for hours before anyone made any sound.

"What?" Matts voice sounded angry. And not the usual angry. You could here the venom in his voice and his eyes looked like he could tear through brick wall after brick wall.

"Turn around. Ivan is his child, not yours," She said, matter of factly. Matt turned around and came face to face with the other guy, who was standing there casually.

That's when Matt clicked. He turned to shove Ivan back into Kimberlys arms then swung round and pounded the guy to the ground, punch after punch. Padge, Jay and Moose didn't attempt to stop him until the other guy was smothered in crimson red.

"C'mon Matt, stop now. You've done enough!" Padge shouted over Matt as he tried to grab hold of Matts arms and drag him off. Him and Moose got one of Matts arms each and managed to get him off. He then ripped himself from their grasp and stormed off into the opposite direction, probably to find a bar or something.

"What the fuck were you thinking planning on doing all of this shit to him? What has he ever done to you!" Jay screamed at Kim, it was rare seeing him express his anger this way.

"This has nothing to do with you, Ok? I don't even know why you're getting involved!"

I shut her up by walking up to her and slapping her across the left side of her face. She held her hand against the area I hit and looked at me shocked, before I grabbed a fist full of her hair in order to make her look at me. Behind me I could hear the boys keeping the other guy from running up at me.

"If I were you, I'd leave right fucking now and never set foot near us again. You've torn him apart and now it's up to us to get him back on his feet. Selfish bitches like you are what makes me sick. You have no respect for him so you might as well continue to pack and leave, you pig."

To prove that the anger and hatred in my voice was true, I pulled back harshly on her hair, making her head jerk backwards. I let go and grabbed the boys before heading off in the direction Matt ran off to. He couldn't be far, surely.

We split up to look for him and I ended up being the one to find him. He was at the bench me and him sat at earlier before we had to rush back for Soundcheck. My heart broke a little bit when I saw the state he was in.

His eyes were raw red from crying and his hands were clenched into fists. I sighed and made my way over carefully to him.

Once I reached him, I didn't say a word. I just sat next to him and pulled him straight in for a hug, ignoring how tightly he was hugging me and how it now took a bit more effort to breath properly.

"That fucking bitch." Was all I heard him mumble into my shoulder. I hugged him even tighter and began stroking his hair, hoping he would calm down from the hysterical crying.

"I can't perform tonight, there's no fucking way."

"But Matt, babe, it's the first show of the tour," I replied. It felt weird calling him babe, but then again I call everyone babe when I'm trying to comfort them.

"I'm sure the fans would understand, it'll only be one show, two at most I'm sure."

"So you're just going to cancel the first two shows at last minute?"

"No."

"Well what else are you going to do?"

He smiled weakly at me, leaving me with a confused look on my face.

"Are you forgetting that you sing?" He asked me. Oh no. No no no. He can forget it.

"Matt no I can't sing for you, I would completely ruin it," I protested. Where on earth does he get these ideas from?

"Please? You said that you loved the set list and everything?"

"I know but... I..." I sighed when I couldn't think of what to say. The look on Matts face was to distracting.

Matt Tuck will be the death of me.
