《Can't Stand You》So You're Into Guys Now?

"Harrison and Dylan, 312."

A key card packet was lobbed towards the pair.

"Nathan and Eli, 313."

Another set was tossed across the group.

"Danny and Jackson, 314. Gloria and Miles, 315."

The room key packet that was thrown our way was coming right to me to catch, but a long tan arm suddenly shot out and snatched the keys before I could catch it. I gave my roommate a glare before pulling the handle out of my suitcase to prepare to head to the elevator.

"I'll be ordering pizza in about 2 hours, so be in the lobby area at 7:00. Tomorrow, everyone needs to be down here eating breakfast at 9:00 tomorrow morning. You should already have your uniform on and be ready to go. I'll let you guys go back up to grab any snacks or waters before we leave at 9:45, but everyone should be dressed. Lights need to be out by 11:00 tonight. I will not be doing room checks, but I'll know if you don't follow that. And I shouldn't hear any of you after 10:00, got it?" Coach explained with no room for arguments.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

With Miles not paying attention to the cards in his hand, but to Coach's instructions, I plucked them right out of his fingertips when Coach finished talking.

"Hey!" he yelped.

"Snooze you lose," I sang in reply. I pulled my suitcase along behind me as I speed walked to elevator.

Everyone else was getting their bags together as I stepped into the elevator and punched the three button and rapidly jabbed at the close doors button.

Miles was gathering his stuff and glanced up to see the doors begin to close.

"Gloria," he yelled threateningly.

In a very mature response, I stuck out my tongue. I couldn't help but grin evilly as the doors slid up the elevator. Although a spur of the moment plan, this could be part of my revenge for the restaurant incident. Yes, he apologized and I probably shouldn't get him back for it because it'll only provoke him to retaliate, but come on. Where's the fun in that?

I jumped off the elevator when I reached our floor and raced down the hall towards our room with my suitcase dragging behind me.

309.

311.

313.

As I was passing 313, the stairs door only a few feet away slammed open and a panting Miles burst out.

"Ha!" he yelled, when he saw me rooted to the spot at our door with the key in my hand.

"Damn it," I muttered, pushing the card into the slot, hoping to get into the room before he could walk the 15 feet that he was away from me. The door refused to open as I continued to jam the card into the reader.

Miles took his time meandering down the hall, seeing that I was having trouble unlocking the door.

"Want some help?" Miles asked smugly, leaning against the door frame.

I shoved the card at him and crossed my arms over my chest in a huff.

He eased the card in and out of the slot and wouldn't you know, the door beeped and unlocked.

Miles pushed the door open and gestured for me to go inside. Always the gentleman. I yanked my suitcase inside and made my way to the far bed. Without even moving my suitcase from the middle of the room, I took a flying leap onto the bed with my arms spread wide. My face hit the soft bed and sank into the downy pillows. I released a breath of bliss and fluttered my eyes closed.

However, my relaxation was cut short, when a pair of feet ran across the room, and an "incoming" was yelled. Miles's body landed on the bed with half of him ending up on top of me. I squealed in surprise, and it only got louder when a pair of hands came to my sides and began to tickle me.

"Miles, no. No. No. No." I gasped between the loud fits of laughing.

His baritone laugh intermingled with my high pitch giggling. Eventually, he ended up with his knees on either side of me and him hovering over me. His hands stopped wiggling up my sides and came to rest next to my head.

"Did you close the door?" I questioned, realizing that this was not an ideal position for anyone to find us in.

"Yes," he answered, leaning down and pecking me on the lips.

Feeling fairly confident with myself at the moment, I rolled Miles and I over so that I was now straddling his waist.

Miles only chuckled. "Did you want to be on top?"

I swatted his chest and rolled my eyes, yet the smile never left my lips. Miles's hands moved to grip my thighs, running them over my yoga pants.

Lowering my head, I caught Miles's lips with my own. I pulled my knees back, so I was practically laying on top of him. He ran his tongue over my bottom lip and I gladly allowed him entrance, deepening the kiss. Miles's hands ran high up my thighs and over my ass, but not without giving it a gentle squeeze. I let out a small gasp, lifting my head up to give him a look.

He gave me a boyish grin and replied, "I've been waiting to do that."

As much as I wanted to smack him for that, I threw my head back and laughed before returning to kissing him. He moved his hands higher, but I reached behind me and took a hold of both of his hands to rest them back on my ass. I was being a bit of a tease, but if this was what he was looking for, I didn't mind letting him have some slightly innocent fun.

He smiled against my lips and took a hold of my bottom lip, nibbling on it, and giving a small tug. I let out an embarrassing light moan that could not be suppressed. I could already tell that Miles was more than pleased to hear that sound come out of me.

I pulled away from his very addicting lips and kissed a trail down to his jaw. I left butterfly kisses all down his jawline. He shivered from under me, giving me my own small sense of accomplishment. I then moved down to his neck and worked on the soft skin that connected the neck and shoulder. I nibbled and sucked the skin before moving farther down but stopping at where his t-shirt was covering his upper body.

I sat up and raised an eyebrow at him. He was faster than I thought, pulling his shirt over his head and flinging it off the bed. Instead of immediately going back to his neck, I went back to his lips. After several minutes of making out with his hand raking through my hair, I lowered back down to pay attention more to his neck. I kissed farther down to muscular chest, which I ran my hands over, exploring the smooth skin.

I kept moving down the peaks and valleys of his chest before coming to my probably favorite part of my blonde headed roommate, his delicious abs. I glided my hand over the taunt skin and appreciated the effort put into his stomach immensely. Miles's flexed his core and his abdominal muscles only became more visible. He smirked down at me when I looked up at him, stretched back with his hands folded behind his head. I rolled my eyes and laughed softly. My head lowered once again to pepper soft kisses to his stomach. A small groan left his lips and I just about died from sensory overload. After several minutes of paying attention to his abs, Miles took my chin between his thumb and forefinger to bring our lips back together.

"You were getting a little too far down if I want to control myself," he whispered as he took a turn at the skin on my neck.

"I'm making you lose control?" I mockingly questioned.

"I think you can answer that question for yourself," he mumbled, pressing a kiss to just below my ear lobe.

Another tiny moan was embarrassingly released from my lips as Miles's mouth worked more magic on the sensitive skin of my neck.

"I don't want this," Miles complained, pulling at my shirt.

Without much more thought than that, I tugged my T-shirt over my head, slower than Miles, with a bit self doubt in mind. I had never willingly let someone see me with my shirt off in just a bra. I was luckily wearing one of my nicer ones. It was a deep plum purple with lace and small bows where the straps connected to the cup part.

I froze for a second as Miles stopped what he had been doing and looked over my exposed chest and stomach. He only glimpsed at my chest before looking back up at my face. I was still straddled at the lower part of his abdomen. One of his hands moved from my ass and was ran under my chin and jaw.

"You're gorgeous," he breathed out finally after spending several seconds watching my reddening face.

With that comment, my cheeks only flushed a deeper shade of scarlet. Butterflies exploded in my stomach, however, at the same time, time seemed to slow down. A warm smile slid on to his face as he saw the reaction that he caused.

His hands moved to my waist and drew shapes into my skin.

"Gloria," Miles finally said, breaking the silence. "As much I like you, we can't go any further than this right now. Like you said, it's bad timing with the team. Also, I'm not going to push you with what you're not comfortable with. The things in your past make this something even more fragile. Your feelings and what you're comfortable with are more important to me than anything."

His eyebrows furrowed and searched my eyes. A fuzzy feeling coursed through my veins. He was taking this seriously and understood how my assault has affected this kind of situation. At this moment, I could not agree with him more. It was not good timing, and yes, I liked Miles. I liked him more than I could describe, but there was still uncertainty.

"It's very creepy when you read my mind," I said softly.

"I've gotten pretty good at it too," he replied.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, like I know that you weren't expecting this." And with those words, he flipped us over so that he hovered over me. His hands on either side of my head.

A tiny squeak left my lips but was soon replaced by giggling. "No, I was most definitely not expecting that."

In general, I wasn't really a person to continuously giggle, but Miles brought it out so easily. I acted like an airhead around him. He knocked all the sense out of me when he shot me one of his breath-taking smiles.

He smiled broadly before leaning down to kiss me again. This time it was more playful with Miles tickling me in between the times our lips touched. I pulled at his bottom lip, which made him groan, and I giggled even more. He kissed my neck and nipped at my skin.

The smile on my face was permanently etched there as we continued to kiss. However, a loud knocking followed by a prying, "Hey Miles, are you guys done unpacking?" sent my face into utter shock.

Miles and I sprung apart and stared at each other in horror. I threw his discarded shirt at him and dove behind the bed to locate my own.

"Go get the door!" I hissed, realizing he hadn't moved from his frozen position.

"Guys? Hello? I know you're in there," Danny called through the door. "I hope you guys aren't getting it on in there."

My jaw practically hit the floor at Danny's obnoxious comment. What a freaking pervert! I was going to kill him.

Miles's mouth opened and closed like a fish a few times before spinning on his heel and heading towards the door. I wrestled to put on my t-shirt and find something to do to look less suspicious.

I lunged at my duffel bag of clothes and threw some items out to look like I was doing something before arming myself with a pair of rolled up baseball socks.

"Hey dude," Miles greeted Danny as he opened the door.

"Are you guys done unpacking yet?" Danny questioned, wandering into the room without any sort of invitation.

Realizing he hadn't even recognized where I was on the floor, I twisted around and chucked the pair of socks at his head. Luckily, I had good enough aim from the floor to plug him right in the forehead.

"Hey!" Danny yelped in surprise.

"You're disgusting," I snapped from the floor where I was sitting.

"I was just making sure I wasn't walking in on something," he smirked, raising his hands up in surrender.

"Like I would let that moron anywhere near me," I muttered before twisting around towards the dresser. However, I did see the sour look that Miles shot me after I made the comment.

As far as our team knows, Miles and I could tolerate each other, but bickered like an old married couple.

"But you guys are seriously not done unpacking?" Danny questioned again.

"No, we're a bit slow," I lied.

"We've already been here for like thirty minutes, and you guys seriously aren't done?" Danny complained, flopping onto Miles's bed.

"We were busy," Miles defended, not realising how wrong that sounded.

Before Danny could look up at him, I twisted around furiously to give Miles an "are you a freaking idiot look."

Danny laughed loudly at Miles's comment.

"He means that we were busy trying to decide who was sleeping in which bed, and who got to shower first," I covered up, sending him yet another glare to keep his mouth shut since apparently I was the only one who could actually lie believably.

"I was just saying that sharing a bed would mean we would have to use less blankets and showering together would save water," Miles said cheekily, raising a challenging eyebrow at me, which resulted in yet another round of laughter from Danny.

I guess, it was Miles's turn to get a pair of socks throw at him.

"What's with the socks?" Miles mumbled, rubbing his cheek where my socks had hit him.

"They're thrown at you when you say something stupid."

Miles only flipped me off in response before leaning against the wall near the tv.

"So what's up dude?" Miles asked.

Danny flipped over and laid comfortably on his back with his hands behind his head.

"I just wanted to see if you guys wanted to do something with some of the other guys," he answered.

"What'd you guys have in mind?"

"I don't know. Just kind of chill out in Jackson and I's room and put a baseball game on."

Miles glanced in my direction for approval, which I nodded to and got up from the floor. I grabbed my phone and a room key from the table set between the beds.

Miles and I followed behind Danny to his room. He stuck his key in the slot and pushed open the door. A few of the guys were in there already: Jackson, Nathan, Gabe, and Walker.

"Hey Glors. Hey Miles," Jackson greeted us.

The guys were sprinkled through out the room, intently watching whatever MLB game was currently on. Jackson and Nathan were laying on one of the beds. Walker was lounging on the floor, and Gabe was drapped over the small cushioned chair in the back corner.

The other bed was still neatly made and untouched, so I made my way over claiming a spot, along with a few pillows.

I laid on my stomach with my head close to the end of the bed.

The Giants and Royals were playing at the moment, which really didn't interest me that much. Still I never give up the opportunity to watch a game when I'm not busy.

Miles made a flying leap at the top end of the bed, but Danny had the same idea. They both came crashing down on the comforters, disrupting my comfortable position. I sent them a menacing glare before turning back to watch the game. The bed continued to shake because of their struggle for who gets to sit there.

"Would you two chill out and share? I have no problem beating the shit out of either of you" I finally snapped after someone's foot ended up kicking me.

They froze where they were and separated to the two sides of the bed.

We watched a few innings of the game before Danny piped up with an idea.

"Let's play a game!"

"What do you wanna play? Hide and go seek?" Gabe cooed from his chair in the corner.

Danny attempted to throw one of his pillows at Gabe's head, but he easily caught it and placed it behind his head.

"Way to go, dumbass. Now we have one less pillow," Miles said, flicking Danny on the side of his head.

"Let's play Never Have I Ever," Nathan suggested, trying to distract Miles and Danny before they had a full on wrestling match on the bed.

"Never Have I Ever?" Danny repeated; his arm that had Miles in a headlock loosened.

Miles took this opportunity to successfully push Danny off of him. His blonde hair was mused up even more than when I had ran my fingers through it less than fifteen minutes ago.

"It's pretty entertaining," Walker added in.

"How do you play?" I questioned, directing my attention to Nathan.

"Alright, so basically, we all start with ten 'lives,' and we go around the circle saying something that you've never done that maybe someone else has. For example, if it was my turn, I could say something like never have I ever been on acid. Then say someone else has, then they put one of their fingers down and they lose a life. You keep track of your lives on your fingers. Usually when someone loses a life you have to do a shot, but since we don't have anything to drink we'll stick with the fingers."

Everyone nodded in understanding.

"I'll go first," Gabe offers.

All six of us put our fingers up, ready to go.

"Never have I ever smoked a cigarette in my life," he announced looking around to see who put their fingers down.

I kept all my fingers up, repulsed by the even slight idea of smoking.

The only person to lower a finger surprised me: Walker. He smiled sheepishly at us before explaining himself a little.

"I was not what you would call a model student in middle school. I went to a school for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade that was an innercity school. I got pressured into doing a whole lot of stupid shit that I really wished I had never done. It was only once because it grossed me out so much. After my dad got a better job during the summer, we moved to a different area and I went to another high school."

Everyone stayed fairly silent after Walker's rather serious explanation.

"However, never have I ever smoked weed," Walker continued to break the quiet.

There were a few moans released after that comment. It was something again that I have never done. Not my kind of thing.

I scanned everyone's fingers and found Gabe, Danny, and Nathan with only nine fingers risen.

I shook my head at them and tsked.

"It was just one time, Glors. Stop looking at me like that," Danny whined. He lunged at me, pulling me into his chest, fake crying into my shoulder. I giggled and squirmed in his grip. Danny was more of a muscular build that just revealed he worked out quite a bit, unlike Miles's more athletic muscular shape.

"Alright, alright. Break it up. No one wants to see that," Miles said, irritation very clear in his voice.

"Jealous, I'm stealing your roommate?" Danny teased.

Miles's clenched his jaw slightly, but remained calm to not gain suspicion.

"Dude, you can have her," he replied, leaning back into the headboard of the bed.

"Sounds good to me." Danny promptly picked me up under my arms and placed me in his lap. I leaned back into his chest and again displayed my ten fingers to continue the game.

"Good because I like Danny better anyway," I said snidely.
