《Going back ✔️》Chapter 41: Determination

We sat down in the living room. I sat in between Jax and Alex, still not quite believing that the latter was really here.
"So, Alex," Mom smiled, "tell us about yourself."
"Hi my name is Alex Lykaios," Alex waved, "I'm Greek, an only child and I am 19 nearly 20 years old."
"What about you family?" Brandon asked curiously.
Alex's jaw clenched and his fist curled, "I'd rather not talk about them, please."
Brandon nodded, "okay."
At that moment, Oscar came in, holding four large boxes of pizza.
"Oscar!" Mom exclaimed, "where did you get that from?"
"I ordered it," Oscar said, munching on a slice, "for all of us."
Mom sighed and gazed at the Heavens, "okay, darling. Let's eat."
Oscar carefully dished out the pizza. Alex was eating like there was no tomorrow and it made me want to murder Elise for starving him.
I ate a bite of pizza and swallowed, happy to be back with my family.
"I want them dead," Elise seethed, slamming a knife in the centre of the oak table. Her long back hair was tied in a tight bun and her green eyes flashed dangerously.
"Yes Miss," my partner- Craig- nodded like the dutiful man he was.
"You want to kill you daughter?" I asked hesitantly.
Elise smiled sweetly, stalking towards me, "no, of course not. I will give her a choice. Join me, or die."
"Ma'am, is that wise?" Craig asked quietly, "she's a wild force who cannot be contained. She will betray us at any moment. Why should we introduce her in our ranks?"
Within a blink of an eye, Elise shot Craig in between the eyes. We flinched and recoiled slightly as he toppled to the floor. Two men come forward and quickly cleared the body away.

"A valid point," Elise admitted, putting away her gun, "but I could've done without the insolence and degrading of my daughter."
But my gaze was transfixed on the spot where Craig had laid. Even though I didn't like him, it was a cruel way for anyone to die. And the way Elise acted like he was disposable. Like each human life was worth nothing. It made me despise and fear Elise- which I guess was the point.
"I will make her a deal she won't be able to refuse," Elise smirked, bringing out her phone.
Currently, Jax, Al and I were in my room, catching up and chatting about life. My phone pinged and I was surprised to see I had a message from 'Mysterious Texter'. I hurriedly excused myself and quickly went to the bathroom, locking myself in.
My eyes widened and I checked the address. It wasn't too far from here- I could probably walk there in about fifteen minutes. I knew this was probably a trap, but I couldn't take the risk.
I deleted the message- after I took a picture of the address. I splashed some cold water on my face and breathed deeply.
Probability of me coming out of that meeting alive?
Low. Very very low.
I plastered a smile to my face and went out.
"Everything alright?" Alex asked when I came out.
"Just fine," I replied, "thought someone dangerous had texted me and I'm a little shaken since the kidnapping."
I could tell they didn't believe me, but I hurriedly changed the subject. After our throats were raw from talking and eyes swollen from crying, we went to sleep. Alex and Jax pulled out the sleeping bags and slept on the floor.
My family came in to check up on us. They said Goodnight and 'I love you' and I tried very hard to not break down and cry. I said it back, a small part of me knowing that would be the last time I saw them.

"Night guys," I said to Alex and Jax when we were alone.
"Good night Rainbow," they replied.
I waited for about an hour for their breathing to slow down before quietly slipping out of bed. I put on some black jeans, black T-shirt and hoodie with my gun and trainers.
Just as I was about to leave, I turned around, "I love you both," I murmured, hoping that wouldn't be the last time I said that.
Keeping the tears back, I went outside. The sky was a velvet black with tiny pinpricks of silver illuminating it. The moon shone gloomily and the gravel crunched underneath my feet as I walked away from my home and towards my doom.
I pulled my hood over my head, a hard core of determination inside of me. No matter what happened, I would make Elise pay. I won't let her harm the ones I love.
Even if it cost me my life.

A Warrior's Love (BL)
"Your mind is dark, your eyes are dull, your life is bleaker than feces, and your heart is covered in ash." She removed one hand to keep her veils on her head as the topmost shawl slipped down her neck. She continued to speak, "Your blood is cold. If you remain this way, you will die before you can find your love." The Krasean lowered his veil, revealing his face to us. He tipped his head upward so I can see his honey coloured eyes that were duller than his peoples'. Black eyeliner outlined the rim of his eyes, drawing attention to his enchanting eyes. "Whoever your lover is, they are your other half. You will endure hardships and pain because of them. You will also make them feel the same." She looked conflicted like she did not know whether to tell me this was good or bad. "In their eyes, you are the evilest and the godliest. How contradicting this is!" "Did you slap me?" I held the helmet between the pit of my elbow and my waist. One hand slowly reached up to rub my numb cheek. It has been forever since someone last slapped me. Now, no one who knew my identity would dare to hit me directly. "The blood coursing through your veins, it's hot and dangerous. You cannot be tamed easily and this may be the cause of your downfall." A strange grimace graced her wrinkled face. I swear to the gods she is ageing each second! "I see your fall. Someone with too much power automatically becomes a threat.
