《Going back ✔️》Chapter 34: Tutor

After English, the teacher- Mrs. Wood- said that she wanted to talk to me at the end of the lesson. However, she had some urgent business to attend to and told me to come at the end of the school day.
I took out my phone to text my brothers that I was going to be late, but it was discharged.
I was walking to my next lesson when I saw Daimen.
"Grace, I have to tell Daimen something. I'll catch up with you later," I said.
"Okay, see you later," she paused, "by the way, how about you, me and the others meet up at my house after school?"
"Sounds like a plan," I grinned, "I'll ask my brothers. See ya."
I saw Iris walking towards me and I quickly excused myself from my friends.
"What's up?" I asked, leaning against the lockers.
"The sky," she deadpanned, "I have to tell you three things. One, I'm going to be late after school because Mrs. Woods wants to discuss something. Two, my phone is dead, so can I borrow a charger? And three, can I hang out with my friends after school?"
I blinked, taking a second to process the information, "for number one, okay. Meet us in the parking lot afterward. For number two, I don't carry a charger around with me. Ask Oscar for that. As for number three, I'll ask the others and I'll let you know."
"Okay," she nodded, "thanks Dai."
"No problem Riss," I smirked, ruffling her hair to annoy her.
"Hey!" She swatted my hand away, "do you know how long it takes to look this good every day?"
I laughed, "yeah, yeah. Now go to class so you're not late."

"Bye Dai," she smiled and left.
I walked back to my group of immature idiots who I call friends.
"Dude," Kyle said, "who was that chick with you and can I have her number?"
I tensed slightly, "that's my sister."
The others inhaled sharply. They know how protective I am over Iris.
"Oh," Kyle looked thoughtful, "how old is she?"
"Touch her and you're dead," I snapped.
Kyle put his hands up in mock surrender, "calm down, Daimen. I know she's off-limits. Shame though," he mused.
"Dude, do you want to die?" The only sensible person in our group- Jim- said.
"Kidding!" Kyle exclaimed, rolling his eyes, "come on, let's go."
I scowled, but decided to let the remark pass... for now.
After school, I went to Mrs. Woods. I knocked on the door to her office and heard her say 'come in!'
"You wanted to see me?" I asked, sitting down in the chair in front of the desk.
"Yes," Mrs. Woods replied, looking at me, "I've taken a look at your grades- you're a clever student, Iris- and I would like you to tutor two of our students."
"Um okay," I said cautiously, "who are the two students?"
"They should be coming in a few minutes," she answered, "now, I understand if you don't want to tutor them, but if you do, it will count towards your grades. You will also be paid."
"And what about-"
I was cut off by door opening and two people strolling in. The room practically crackled with anger and energy and they glared daggers at each other.
"Ah," Mrs. Woods smiled, "Iris, you will be tutoring Cole and James for the rest of this school year. Or until their grades improve."
Oh snickers.

(un)Lucky
After dying on his hospital bed, Jack is surprised to once again regain consciousness. Turns out he’s in purgatory where he learns that God has been pretty into gaming lately… you already know where this is going, don’t you? Yeah, yeah, I know, another LitRPG story like many others. SO original… But why then do we keep reading them and looking for more? The answer, for me at least, is because they’re usually just plain fun. That’s all I hope my story can be: fun. No fixed releases for now, nor any future plans. I’m just trying to enjoy my time writing it. Btw, the cover is something random I did and has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Don’t ask me why.

A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
