Lucy frowned worriedly when she neared.

Daichi almost jumped on her in his excitement to see her, but Jasmina stopped him just in time with a raise of her hand. The PE teacher looked surprised to see her, but didn't say anything about how she was later. If they were talking influence she easily had more than him, so it was a wise choice, especially considering how clear it was that the seven wild cards in his lesson only listened to her.

"We were just done running laps," the teacher said, a bit nervously.

"Did you all behave?" Jasmina said as she glanced around at the sins.

"Of course," Ari grinned.

"For now," Ira smirked.

"I don't need to show my powers to surpass some mortals," Priyanka replied with a roll of her eyes.

"But she's going to," Gio filled in for her.

Priyanka parted her lips, looking surprised that Gio had talked at all, never mind spoken her thoughts out loud. A blush bloomed on her cinnamon skin, ice shards glittering on the grass around her, Ari quickly melting them with a wave of her hand before the whole field would be covered in winter's kiss. With a shake of her head Ari leaned her arm on Daichi's shoulder, eyes amused.

"It's good that we swapped powers," she said," Superbia would have set this whole school on fire with her flames."

"Swapped powers?" Jasmina asked.

"Pride is supposed to be fire," Ari shrugged," and Greed ice, but Pri over here got a whole panic attack at the sight of her own flames licking her fingers. It's how we know a bit about her past, because the devil made the rare exception for our powers to change."

She had already assumed so, but the confirmation for her suspicions was nice. Despite how ice suited her, Greed's realm had been way colder and Priyanka way too explosive. Still, she didn't linger on the realization for too long, the teacher blowing his whistle and calling them in line. The sins took their place on either side of her, flanking her like they were her bodyguards, and she gave them all a glance that told them not to do anything too weird.

Or well, if they did do so, at least for them to erase the memories right after.

PE wasn't one of the subjects Jasmina was that interested in honestly. Most of the time she didn't even participate, either because she was too lazy or too bored. Physical strength never had been her best feature anyway, but it didn't need to be, because her mind was sharp enough to compensate. Seeing the sins participate would be funny though, even if she already knew that they wouldn't take her warnings to act normal to heart. It didn't matter, this whole school didn't anyway.

"Alright," the teacher said, clad in a gray suit the way all the teachers at Gaia were," I'm going to split you in teams and we're going to play volleybal. Whenever I whistle you'll rotate to go against another team, so you'll have plenty of fun."

"Wicked," Ira grinned.

"Shut up," Victor hissed at him," I'm trying to listen."

"Can't believe that even as a demon you remain a fucking nerd," Ira drawled, sounding more amused than irritated.

Victor didn't have much time to scowl, because the teacher started giving them numbers. When he was finished Jasmina looked around at her group, composed of six people including her, four of them being sins. With a look at the other group, where Daichi, Ira and Ari had ended up, Jasmina just knew the games would blow up, especially considering how impulsive they were. That coupled with the fact that no one in her group probably would hold back as well already made the outcome of this lesson clear. The unlucky guy who had gotten in her group as well didn't seem to realize this situation wasn't going to go well for him yet, a cocky grin on his face as he glanced at Jasmina.

"This is the first time we've spoken, Jasmina," he said," I honestly have been wanting to talk to you for a longer time, but Alan that arrogant prick always glared anyone away who came close. He got what was coming to him though -"

"Quiet," Jasmina said, flicking her gaze at him boredly," I didn't ask you to give me a whole life story."

"But -" he began.

"I don't like repeating myself," she said sweetly.

He wisely kept his mouth shut, the fact that Victor stepped forward behind her and Priyanka gave him one of her iciest looks making him blink and step away quickly. Surprisingly he kept Priyanka's gaze though, staring almost infatuatedly at her. As soon as Gio noticed his sleepy eyes cleared up a bit and he pulled Priyanka in a hug again, arms wrapped around her and chin leaning on her head. The frost in her expression cleared at once, words leaving her in a stutter as she turned towards him.

"What are you doing?" she said.

"Protecting my heart," he mumbled.

"Your heart?" Priyanka frowned worriedly.

"I mean you," Gio said.

"I'm going to faint right now," Priyanka announced.

Gio wrapped his arms tighter around her, looking at peace. "That's alright, I have you."

"You guys are so cute," Lucy smiled," go and get married already, please."

"It's starting to feel more and more like we're dating show participants instead of the seven deadly sins," Victor frowned.

"Are you complaining because you haven't found your date yet?" Jasmina drawled.

Victor's gaze flicked to Ira, who was terrifying his other teammates simply by talking, but resolutely shook his head.

"Love is overrated," he said.

"Then you haven't experienced love," Lucy smiled, squeezing his cheek.

She ignored Victor's offended expression as his hand shot to his cheek, stretching out leisurely as they walked towards their first group instead. They immediately started off with the other sins, Ira, Daichi and Ari already doing some weird chant about how they were going to win. Their group looked like they were as afraid as they were attracted to them, a look Jasmina knew all too well from how many times it had been given to her. Perks of being a demon, she supposed.

"Why are they so intense?" Victor frowned," I don't even want to play."

"We can't lose," Priyanka said.

"And that's why we shouldn't play to begin with," Victor nodded," then we won't have to deal with the aftermath if we do lose."

"Or you should just get fight to win," Priyanka said.

"No."

Still, he took his place in the middle of the second row, Jasmina standing in front of him and Gio and Priyanka flanking her on either side. The other guy in their team looked like he'd rather be anywhere but here, Lucy on the right as she got ready to start the game, the ball in her hand. She smiled sweetly at all of them, her hair up in two high pigtails and her outfit a skintight, pink top and matching yoga pants. The two guys on the opposite team stared at her intensely, causing Ari to glare at them as she yelled for them to focus.

"I know she's gorgeous," she said," but you have to get yourselves together."

"What she said," the girl on their team nodded, before waving a hand at them," honestly, does she look like she's good at this?"

"I mean, yes," one of the guys said.

Ari let her gaze flick towards the girl, eyes a storm of golden flames. "If you ever say anything else about her again, I will literally burn you alive."

"Threatening our teammates comes later, Avaritia," Daichi grinned.

"I'm the only one allowed to make fun of all of you," Ari huffed," especially Luxuria."

Lucy chuckled at that, blowing a kiss at Ari, but Priyanka just rolled her eyes.

"Too much chit-chat," she said, gesturing at Lucy," let's get started."

With a nod Lucy set the ball and Priyanka quickly took it over, slamming it down so hard over the net it blew right past the two guys standing there. Ari caught it in time though, throwing it up and passing it to Ira in the front. As the ball whizzed past Jasmina in an incredibly high speed, she wondered how long this game would go on. It only took three minutes for their teammates to stop, Jasmina walking away too as people gathered around to watch.

"How is this a high school volleybal game?" someone whispered.

"Are they professionals?"

"Wouldn't we know if they were?"

It didn't take long for the PE teacher to come, ready to scold them all for stopping their own games but quickly freezing himself as soon as he saw how aggressively the sins were playing. Even Gio was going all-in, much to Jasmina's surprise, though she supposed he always had shown more energy around Priyanka. Her phone went off and she walked to the side, glancing at the business associate of her father who was calling her. Probably another deal she had to close for him because he was too busy. Just when she was about to accept the call she saw Alan running at her in full speed from the school building, Azriel jogging closely behind, though he didn't look like keeping up was taking him much effort at all.

"Jasmina!" Alan exclaimed," please help me, this man is crazy!"

"Come on now," Azriel drawled," that doesn't make me less fun."

Jasmina rolled her eyes, ready to tell them both off when a ball whizzed past her, going so fast that it didn't slow speed at all - until it hit Alan right in the face that was. Her ex-boyfriend fell back, hitting a surprised Azriel, the crowd parting as the sins immediately stopped yelling at each other. Daichi was the first to speak, grin sheepish as he waved at Azriel.

"Hello boss."
