a day later, Daichi practically jumped in her arms. She held up her hand right before he could actually do so and he stopped himself just in time, standing still with his arms spread out. With a smile she pecked him on the cheek and he beamed at her, the pout he had on his face gone now. Ari stood behind him, eyebrows raised and voice accusing.
"You didn't visit me!" she complained," I actually tidied up a bit."
"You tidied up the human souls you torture?" Jasmina replied amusedly.
Ari chuckled, shaking her head. "Okay, you caught me, I didn't tidy up. Still, you left me out, my heart's broken."
"I'll take you shopping," Jasmina said.
"You're forgiven," Ari said without skipping a beat, looking happy now as she walked back towards the living room.
"Come on," Daichi said, gesturing towards where Ari was walking with a jerk of his head," everyone's together for once."
"That never means much good," Jasmina said, following along," what's going on?"
In the living room the sins were all draped across the couches and chairs, all of them looking up once she entered. Lucy snapped her fingers and a chair appeared out of the air in front of them all, making Jasmina feel like they were holding an intervention for her somehow. She took a place on the chair and Daichi sat down on the armchair of Ira's chair, pulling a leg up and watching her a bit nervously.
"Well?" Jasmina asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Guys," Lucy laughed," you're all making this sound way more serious than it is." She turned towards Jasmina, smile warm. "We're all going away for a bit. You asked us if we had unfinished business or wanted to travel, so we want to make use of that opportunity while we're still semi-human."
"That's great," Jasmina nodded," you can ask one of my butlers for whatever and they'll have your journey arranged. I'll place the creditcards in your rooms."
Though Lucy didn't look surprised by her reaction, most of the sins did, Daichi breathing a sigh of relief. Priyanka just nodded, her expression more of a thank you than her words could ever express. It all wasn't that intense for Jasmina - she had an eternity with them after this anyway and besides, it wasn't like she wouldn't survive on her own.
"Aren't you mad?" Daichi asked, eyes flicking towards Jasmina," after we told you we'd remain by your side."

"Of course not," she frowned," why would I be? I wouldn't offer anything I didn't mean."
"Oh, you absolutely would," Ari laughed," manipulation is your middle name, Jas."
The nickname seemed to escape her lips and Ari's lips parted, watching Jasmina for a reaction. When she didn't show any, she seemed relieved. Lucy smiled up fondly at Ari, grazing a hand across her cheek and glancing back towards Jasmina.
"Avaritia is joking," she said," we all know you were serious when you offered and we truly appreciate it. We'll be back soon."
"Take your time," Jasmina said," I'll get you passports with my surname on it, so if you ever get in trouble -" She let her gaze wander across them. "- which knowing you all, you most likely will, you can mention that you're part of the family. That'll help in most situations."
"Excuse me," Victor said, waving a hand at his chocolate skin," how am I going to pass as part of your Middle Eastern family?"
"You're obviously adopted, next question," Jasmina said with a wave of her hand.
"Can we do something together?" Lucy smiled," before we all leave. I think I'd be fun if we go to school together one last day and go for some drinks after."
"I don't understand why all of you want to go to school!" Victor exclaimed," no one likes school."
"Drinks sound fun," Ira agreed," being on my best behavior in school doesn't."
"I just want to sleep," Gio complained," why do you all want to keep me awake?"
"I agree with Gio," Priyanka nodded," if I wanted to be surrounded by idiots I'd stay home."
"So anyway," Lucy beamed, ignoring all the complaints," let's do that."
"That sounds fun," Ari said," I haven't spent much time in your school yet. I've always wondered what the fuss was about."
Jasmina doubted it was much of a good idea, but it didn't need to be. All she had to do was keep them from breaking her school one last time, before she finished the year on her own. At least Azriel wasn't here; despite how charming he looked he had the least common sense out of all of them and it showed. She nodded, waving a hand at Gio.
"That's fine," she said," Gio, I expect you too to be ready to leave at eight AM sharp."

"But why?" Gio sulked," I am not leaving to travel, I have nowhere to go anyway."
"Come," Priyanka said, surprising them all as she took his hand in hers," I'm leaving for a while as well and I'd like it if we could spend some time together before I go."
Gio watched her with that same undecipherable expression he always carried, the one that made him seem like he wouldn't even blink if the whole world stood on fire. Jasmina didn't doubt it - she had seen him show exactly one emotion in all the time he had been on Earth. Now however something softer cracked through, coloring him a hazy blue. He nodded at Priyanka, leaning his head on her shoulder and yawning.
"I'm all for this," Daichi grinned.
"I feel single," Ira complained, gaze flicking to Victor then as he called out," hey, Invidia, give me more attention."
"I absolutely refuse," Victor huffed.
A single red spark flashed beside Ira's head, but it died out as he looked back at Jasmina, gaze a bit conflicted. She wasn't about to involve herself in that drama just yet, so she decided to ignore it, instead waving them goodbye as she excused herself for the night. The lack of sleep she had was catching up to her and she treated herself too well to let it keep on going.
The sins spent the whole night shouting and doing whatever, but she fell asleep to the lullaby Gio always somehow played everywhere as soon as he closed his eyes. At this point she had gotten so used to it she had memorized every word, the basic Italian she spoke enough to decipher the words. Go to sleep, my little one, a female voice sung to her and so she did.
The next day all of them were surprisingly on time, even when she wasn't. With the eight of them in one limousine the trip towards school was a busy one, all of them talking over each other about the plans they had. Victor and Gio were planning to stay, but the others all wanted to experience some things before they returned. Lucy wanted to work for a charity helping sex workers and Ari was following, gaze a bit clouded as she said there never had been a home for her in the Greek town she had grown up in anyway.
Daichi and Ira however were going on an adventurous holiday together, both of their plans chaotic enough to tell Jasmina that she would most likely have to help them out of trouble soon. Priyanka was more quiet about it all, not speaking about it until they set foot in the school, the words leaving her with difficulty. The sins were still walking several feet behind them, only Gio standing beside the two of them, and Jasmina wondered when the girl had started to trust her more. She was glad for it.
"I'm going to visit my family's grave," she said," in Kanpur. I haven't been once since their death."
"I can come with?" Gio said, eyes as unreadable as ever but voice soft.
"No need," Priyanka said gently, the warmth in her voice sounding uncharacteristic on her usual frosty words," it's something I need to do alone."
"Let me know how it went," Jasmina said, before she flicked her gaze towards Gio," I'll keep your boyfriend from sleeping himself to death until you come back."
"My what?" Priyanka exclaimed, cheeks flaming red and words leaving her in a stutter," uhm -"
Gio just nodded, wrapping his arms around Priyanka and pulling her in a tight hug. With his chin resting on the top of her head he closed his eyes, looking at peace.
"Visit me in my dreams," he said.
Priyanka had become stiff at first, but the tension flowed out of her soon, though her cheeks remained red. Her voice was almost a whisper as she spoke back, like anything louder would break the magic of the moment.
"If you return to hell before me, I'll be angry," she said.
"I'll wait for you to come back," he murmured.
The others had caught up to them then and Priyanka pulled herself out of the hug, a smile tugging at her lips. She hesitantly reached out for Gio's hand and he took it without blinking, mirroring her ghost of a smile. Jasmina started walking, the sins following closely behind, and the murmurs around them started up as she made her way through the hallways.
"Who are those people with Jasmina?"
"They are gorgeous - do you think they're models?"
"I knew she was a witch, I told you -"
Oh, if only they knew.
