smile never faltering," it's written in the contract, you know. Section 4.B. You can't hurt me after the contract is broken by something that you could have prevented."

His wings flapped softly around him and a crimson smile tugged through his mask of flames. He stepped out of the shadows then and everything vanished, leaving only the form of the handsome businessman that he had had before behind.

"You're right," he said amicably," still, do you even want to return to Earth, Jasmina? You clearly belong here, with me."

"You know," she said," that actually doesn't sound so bad."

He smiled then, but before he could speak she interrupted him. "But I have terms."

"You have terms?" he said surprisedly," for me?"

"Yes," she said.

"Why would I even listen to them?" he said.

"For the same reason you started this game to begin with," she said," because you're bored and looking for some entertainment. You asked for a show and I gave you it. The least you could do is listen to my requests."

"Fine," he said," what do you want?"

"I'll join you when I die," she said," but that's only when I die of natural causes, or well, someone who hates me or my family takes me out. You can't be the reason of my demise."

"Done," he said without skipping a beat.

"And I want the sins to become human again."

The devil blinked and she could see he was unsure if he had heard her right. "What?"

"They can go back to being sins after they've led a human life," she shrugged," you won't even miss them. It'll be a hundred years, that's nothing in comparison to an eternity."

"Do tell me," he said," why would I do that? Miss my most important demons for what? So they can have a chance at a normal human life?"

"Yeah," she said," because they deserve way better than whatever they had before."

"Don't tell me you've grown soft, Jasmina," the devil said, an apprehensive note to his voice," you know I prefer the cold-hearted you."

"I haven't," she said," but I can still be cold-hearted and care for them. I've proven that just with this whole plan alone, haven't I?"

The devil paused momentarily, before nodding then.

"Done," he said, although it was a bit reluctant," but only because I want you by my side. There hasn't been anyone in centuries who has sparked my interest like this, Jasmina."

He closed the distance in seconds then, hands cupping her face as he looked at her, breath icy on her skin.

"You have to be mine," he whispered.

"I am mine," she corrected him," but I suppose I can be by your side for the rest of eternity after this. You don't seem that bad."

"I'm the devil," he chuckled," I'm supposed to be bad."

"Sure you are," she said as she grazed her nails across his cheek.

His eyes lingered at her lips as he pulled her closer, the flames around them dancing slower now, but before he could even move she spoke again.

"One last thing," she said.

"What?" he murmured.

"You can't let the sins know I asked this," she said," I want them to think this was a whimsical choice of you because you're a softie at heart and wanted to give them that second chance."

"Absolutely not," he said as he scrunched up his nose in disgust," what about my reputation? I don't want anyone to think I'm nice."

"I don't want anyone to think that of me either," she said," nor do I want them to think they owe me anything." She placed her arms around his neck then as she looked up at him, all seductive eyes and soft whispers. "Still, if you do this for me, I'll be sure to fulfill a request for you as well."

Hesitation flashed in his eyes, but then it was gone, replaced with something else as he nodded.

"You can't kiss anyone else on Earth," he said as he wrapped his arms possessively around her waist," or I'll go end the guys myself. The woman who's about to be my consort is to be mine and mine only."

"Not sure if I find that hot or not," she mused," but sure."

He waved a hand and a contract appeared again, the feather in his hand pricking her finger before she could even move. She looked at the contract, expecting to see a large amount of text again, before being surprised when she only saw one sentence.

"You're letting me sign a contract to be yours?" she said confusedly.

"And I'll be yours as well," he reassured her," you're the only queen the sins will approve and to be honest, I'm sure you'll do great ruling hell."

"Not sure how to take that, but fine," she said, but she stopped right before the feather touched the paper," before I do though, I want to make sure I'll be on equal footing as you. No trophy wife or all that."

"I was sure you would ask that," he chuckled, before waving a hand and letting her words appear on the contract," here. You'll be my queen, not some accessory on my arm, don't worry."

She let her eyes go over the newly added words, before nodding and putting down the flourishes that sealed her fate again.

After all, if it was between choosing to burn in hell when she eventually died again or rule by the devil's side, who was going to choose the first one? Especially when this so-called marriage now extended further than just his infatuation with her now.

She had always wanted ro rule a business empire, but she would be perfectly fine for settling for hell instead.

The contract went up in flames then and she looked at it with surprise, before the fire circled around and condensed into one object.

The devil held up the ring, looking her in the eye as he slid it around her finger. When she didn't reply, doubt flashed in his eyes.

"Did you want me to do it on one knee?" he said," that's a human tradition, right?"

"No, I don't care about that," she said as she looked at it," it's just -"

Faint worry colored the devil's voice as he spoke, her hesitation making the words tumble down his lips.

"Are you not sure?" he said," I know the horns in my other form are too much, but I can change it if it's not to your liking -"

"No," she said," I just want the ring to be gold. Copper is ugly."

A moment passed between them. "What?"

"Well, I just don't like it," she said," make it gold, will you?"

"Yes," the devil smiled then," I will."

As Jasmina stared at the golden ring, she chuckled at the unexpectant turn of events. Then again, nothing was ever normal with the devil around.

"Let me go back now," she said," I still have the rest of the party left to enjoy."

"What?" he frowned," you want me to let you wake up in the swimming pool like some sort of zombie? No, the sins will change this to a less painful fall in everyone's mind and you'll wake up in the hospital."

"Let me wake up as some sort of zombie," Jasmina said, eyes glittering with interest," I want everyone to know I'm immortal."

"You're not."

"Boo," she said," you're spoiling my fun."

He smiled then and everything around her started whizzing by faster as he closed the distance, an entire kingdom at his lips and sin in his eyes.

"We'll have plenty of time to have that fun later, my queen," he whispered.

And then she woke up.
