Lena a minute to notice her. Jasmina wasn't surprised, after all, she had always been hard to miss. Besides, her entourage of three tipsy sins probably wasn't helping either. Still, she had counted on the look of horror, anger and shame that flashed across Lena's face.

She lived off that look.

A passing bartender held up his plateau filled with flutes bubbling with champagne and Jasmina grabbed two off it, turning away from Lena's prying eyes as she looked at Gio.

"Open your mouth," she ordered.

He complied, his expression a mix of apathy and confusion, but before he could question her she had already emptied the champagne in his mouth. As he choked on the alcohol and Priyanka rushed to his side, she quickly poured the silver liquid from Ari's cup in the flute, raising her eyebrows in question to the sin as she rose the glass.

Ari's eyes lit up in recognition of what she was doing as she tapped the glass, the silver immediately turning the same shade as the champagne. She smiled then as Gio recovered, gaze unreadable as she nodded at Ari.

"Swap it with her glass," she said.

"I'm not your slave," Ari frowned.

"What would my good friend Lucy say if she heard you didn't want to help me?" Jasmina sighed," I guess I'll have to ask her when I see her after this -"

Before she could continue though the flutes were already swapped, the only remains of the magic the red, faint smoke that was vanishing around it. A worried frown creased Ari's forehead as she parted her lips, but Jasmina just gave her a reassuring smile as she watched Lena take sips from the flute.

"Don't worry," she said," I'll make sure she'll hear how much you've supported me."

Relief flashed over Ari's features as Jasmina turned towards Gio and Priyanka.

"Gio," she said," you can induce and read thoughts, right? Does Lena's friend know Lena has cheated?"

Gio's eyes welled blue as he stared at them, before shaking his head.

"Like I thought," Jasmina smiled," now, if you'll insert the memory that the girl's previous boyfriend has cheated on her in Lena's friend, I'll promise to give you the softest bed known on Earth."

Her promise seemed to motivate Gio as he nodded, concentrating on Lena's friend as the white drained out of his eyes into a misty blue, until her eyes mirrored his for a second. And then she blinked and it was gone, replaced with a brief disorientation as she looked around, before resuming the conversation.

"You have a task for me as well?" Priyanka asked.

"I want your snide remarks," Jasmina said," I'm quite talented at getting under people's skin, but I want Lena as angry as possible. Help me with that."

She leaned forwards then, whispering her second order in Priyanka's ear as the sin's eyes widened briefly.

"Got it?" she said as she tapped her hand.

"You're a sadist," Priyanka said," but fine."

"And you'll help with picking and testing out Gio's new bed," Jasmina said, her voice so soft only Priyanka caught it," I guess we both win."

Priyanka blushed then, but before any of the sins could say something else Jasmina turned around and walked onto the balcony, heading towards Lena.

"My," Jasmina said as she daintily parted her lips in mock surprise," I hadn't expected to see you here, Lena."

"What?" Lena said, the conflict on her face vanishing at the confrontation," don't tell me you really expected me to fall for that act, Jasmina. I know you better than that. You're not capable of emotions."

Jasmina smiled then, making sure every emotion seemed as real as possible this time as she let out a soft laugh. Pride and anger blended into her face like the highlighter on her cheekbones, shimmering with faint amusement.

"I thought you knew me well enough to know I would never care enough to lie," she said, her tone too condescending to sound genuine.

It had the effect she wanted, Lena's anger seeming to be fueled even more as she put her now empty champagne flute down on the table.

"Oh, you would," Lena said with a throaty laugh," even though you don't care about the people, Jasmina, you still care about your pride."

"Don't pretend like it was my pride that destroyed our friendship," she said, her voice all sharp silk and cutting caramel.

She knew she had hit a sore spot when Lena's cheeks colored. Knowing Lena, the fact that she had cheated was something she would never be able to truly live with, out of the shame alone. The girl always had liked to pretend to be a good person. If her blush wasn't enough proof for that, her quick glance to the Varson girl was.

"What?" Jasmina gasped then, easily drawing Lena's attention back to her," don't tell me you haven't told your best friend?" She smiled as she turned towards the girl. "Sweet little Lena here screwed my boyfriend behind my back, you know. I suppose she isn't proud of boasting that part of the story, now is she?"

"I- I," Lena stammered," Rhianne, I can explain."

"Really, Lena?" Rhianne said, disbelief coloring her voice," you did that? Even knowing I was cheated on?"

"You were cheated on?" Lena said with wide eyes," Rhianne, I never knew. I am so -"

"Don't even bother explaining," Rhianne huffed, before a purple gleam came over her eyes as she threw the content of her flute over Lena's white dress.

She slammed the flute down then, about to storm off when Jasmina casually placed her foot in front of Rhianne's, causing the girl to stumble. When Jasmina tapped her hand, Priyanka sighed and waved hers.

And then Rhianne was on the floor, wailing and clutching her ankle.

"Oh no," Jasmina said with the fakest tone she could muster," did you hurt something?"

She dipped her head forwards as she looked at Rhianne, her face unreadable as her smile curled up into something more dangerous.

"I told you to take care not to break anything, right?" Jasmina drawled.

"You," Rhianne managed to get out between sobs, her haughty looks replaced with genuine fear," how?"

"You should watch out," Jasmina said as she brought her glass to her lips," next time you're so careless, it might just be more than a broken bone."

When she spoke next, her voice was so dangerously low only Rhianne caught it.

"I told you you would know when I was threatening you."

The girl paled, her whole face a contortion of pain, disbelief and pure terror. As Lena crouched down beside her friend and tried to help her, Jasmina turned towards Ari.

"You're petty," Ari said amusedly," she never did you any harm."

"She dared to insult me," Jasmina said amicably as she tapped Ari's cheek," she should be happy I didn't do anything worse." She added then, voice louder this time. "You're right, you and Gio should bring her to an ambulance, Ari, you're so thoughtful."

Her lips grazed Ari's ear when she passed her and Ari's smirk widened at her remark.

"Do take care to let the ambulance arrive slowly though."

"You're an absolute demon," Ari laughed," but whatever. I don't mind."

She then switched over in the role of worried bystander as she pulled Gio along by his shirt and forced him to help. He sighed, before easily draping Rhianne's arm over his shoulders and hoisting the girl up.

"I- I should help," Lena stammered, seeming to be too shocked by the entire situation.

Jasmina glanced at Priyanka and the sin nodded almost imperceptibly, before speaking.

"You?" Priyanka said, voice amused and condescending at the same time," who do you think caused this? You told me she was vain and selfish, Jasmina, but never dumb as well."

"Y- You," Lena said," you don't know what you're talking about."

"What is it, Lena?" Jasmina smiled as she rested her back against the railing, arms rested easily beside her," is your stutter back again? I thought you lost that a few years ago?" She chuckled then as she looked at the girl. "Suppose you have to take lessons to get rid of it again. Your dear daddy won't be happy after all."

She knew each and every one of Lena's weak points and as she kept pushing them, she could sense the girl breaking. Pure, unadulterated anger was radiating off her and honestly, Jasmina couldn't blame her for being angry. From having a fake friend show up and insult her, to having her close friend throw champagne on her out of betrayal thanks to Jasmina, she could imagine how Lena felt right now. That and the fact that she had addressed Lena's stutter, something the girl always had been ashamed of, made Jasmina sure Lena was reaching her tipping point.

And she was going to push her over the edge.

"Oops," Jasmina said as she poured the champagne flute above Lena's head, watching the liquid slowly pour onto Lena's dark curls as she smiled.

Something incredibly dark flashed into Lena's eyes as champagne streamed across her face like bubbly tears.

And then Lena pushed her off the balcony.
