《Saints (SAINTS #1) | ✓》26

in full swing when Isaac parked his car. Jasmina had let the sins go ahead, her plan already in motion as Isaac rested his hand on the small of her back and they walked in the mansion. Everywhere she looked people were laughing, drinking questionable liquids from red cups and stumbling, loud pop music blaring through the house.
"You look gorgeous tonight," Isaac whispered as he leaned closer, his lips brushing her ear.
"I know," she said as her full, ruby-painted lips tugged up in a smile.
She was clad in an off-shoulder, black dress made out of lace and a dangerously high hemline, the rose pin on her breastpocket and the bottom of her Louboutins the only other hint of color on her. She looked like a promise of sin and she knew it.
She looked at Isaac then. He was handsome, his aristocratic features and Tom Ford blazer only adding to the scent of money around him. Still, even though he and Alan both were rich guys at the top of the world, they couldn't be any different. She had always been good at reading people, but it wasn't even needed with Isaac. He was simple, clear in his actions, no ulterior motive behind anything he did as he listened to her talk.
Despite the rumors of his womanizing, charming ways, she could easily tell it wasn't just meaningless flirting around her. Be it from the warmth in his honey eyes every time he glanced at her when he thought she wasn't looking to the worried hesitation on his cheeks when he carefully tried intimate gestures, the boy was absolutely infatuated with her.
"Thank you," she added as an afterthought, before her gaze returned to the party again.
"Did you just thank me?" he said, stopping dead in his tracks as he stared at her in wonder.
"I'm going to take it back if you're going to make a big deal about it," she said, her usual smirk on her lips as she nodded at some influential people.
"No, nothing like that," he grinned," I'm actually happy. You're not one to thank people, so should I take this as a sign that you care about me, Jasmina?"
She glanced at him, amused. "Do you want me to care for you so bad?"

He placed a hand beside her head then and she leaned against the wall behind her, folding her arms over each other as she looked up at him.
"Horribly so," he said as he dipped his head down towards her, eyes locked with hers, before trailing down to her lips.
"Playing with fire will get you burned, Isaac," she drawled.
"Burn me," he whispered against her skin.
He flicked his gaze back up again as his lips grazed across hers, but when he didn't read any refusal in her gaze, he smiled. He deepened the kiss and she almost chuckled at his giddy happiness.
And then he was pushed off her.
"Right on time," she whispered, her voice so soft that no one caught it as she looked at the intruder.
There was no surprise in her eyes when she locked gazes with Alan, his fists clenched as anger radiated off him in waves. He had always been more handsome when he was angry. Something about the harshness in his face had made her want to kiss the danger lying underneath his skin, inhaling it right off his Cupid's bow.
Now she just wanted to push him out of the window.
Isaac wasn't thrown off-balance that much, the few steps he had taken back from the rough push already gone as he crossed the distance with ease.
"What do you want, Lewis?" he said, the words filled with venom.
"For you," Alan began slowly as he neared as well," to get the fuck off my girlfriend."
"She isn't your girlfriend anymore," Isaac said.
She had to give it to Isaac. The guy had had to fight almost three times already because of her, but she couldn't help but find it hot when he punched Alan right in the face.
"Shouldn't you stop them?"
"Hush," she said with a dismissive wave of her hand," I'm watching something amusing." She flashed a smile at the person beside her then. "Nice to see you made it though, Lucy."
"Don't know what I expected," Lucy sighed, before her voice lowered as she leaned towards her," also, I just wanted to say I'm off now. I'll fulfill your request."
"I know you will," she smiled," I trust you. And don't worry, I always pay my debts."

"This isn't about a debt," Lucy said," I just want to help."
"You're a horrible sin, you know that?" Jasmina said, although her voice was amicable.
Lucy laughed softly, before her amusement faded into a smile and she stepped back into the wall, disappearing quietly in the pink portal that had appeared and vanished immediately after.
"There you are!" Daichi said from the top of the staircase above her, a bright grin on his face and two cups in his hands.
"I honestly thought you would never show up at all," Ari chuckled beside him as she stumbled off the stairs towards her, her golden bracelets clinking with every move she made.
"How could I not?" Jasmina smiled, before adding," I didn't know sins could get drunk though."
"We can't," Ari giggled," but Daichi spiked our drinks with something a little stronger, just for us demons you know."
"Want a sip?" Daichi grinned as he leaned over the railing, the silver liquid sloshing dangerously close to the rim.
"If that spills on my dress I'll kill you," she smiled at him," and if you'll get the rest of the sins for me now, perhaps I'll take you up on that offer later in the evening. I need a clear head for now."
"I'll save some specially for you then, gorgeous," he grinned excitedly, before blowing her a kiss," I'll be right back."
She caught it as a mock touched expression graced her face. "You're the best sin."
"Hey!" Ari exclamated.
"I was joking," Jasmina reassured her.
"You'd better be," Ari laughed good-naturedly, before looking around her, a sad expression on her face," have you seen Luxuria? She's been missing all night."
"You need her for something?" Jasmina said.
"No, not specifically," Ari pouted, her words slightly slurred," but still, I want her here."
"I spotted her just now," Jasmina said," I'll take you to her in just a second."
"You're nicer than you let on, you know," Ari said as she rested her hands on Jasmina's shoulder, voice fond.
"No, I'm not," she deadpanned, before adding," also, if you puke on me -"
"I won't," Ari giggled as she let her go, before looking at what had become a full-out brawl now as the guys rolled over the floor," isn't that the guy who was picking you up fighting with your cheating boyfriend?"
"It is," Jasmina said with a pleased smile.
"You're weird," Ari said," but fine, I'll wait."
Gio arrived then, yawning as he walked towards her, before settling for a spot so closeby he was practically her shadow.
"Personal space, Gio," she said as she raised one eyebrow," never heard of it?"
"No," he said as he rested his cheek on her shoulder," I'm tired, Jasmina."
"You're always tired," she said with a dismissive wave of her hand, before her eyes lit up when the rest of the sins neared.
She could see they all already had something of whatever Daichi was serving them, their eyes wide and their movements slow and clumsy. Red sparks started buzzing around Ira once he spotted her and Victor swatted them all away with an annoyed look on his face, his flushed cheeks the only giveaway that he had drunk something as well.
"Jasmina, you're late," Ira drawled, a mixture of annoyance and adoration in his eyes.
"Ira," she said as she flashed him her sweetest smile," you know I think you're the greatest, so could you please do something for me?"
"I am the greatest," he nodded in agreement, before he seemed to have made up his mind," sure, whatever."
"You see that guy?" she said as she pointed at Isaac," break his nose. Don't hurt him that much though. You can do whatever with the other guy."
"My pleasure," he grinned, before easily inserting himself in the fight.
"You're just here and you've already started a fight," Victor commented," you're scary, you know that?"
She smiled at him, the beginning of her plan unfolding before her eyes as she took the pin off, the camera inside of it glimmering red as it continued filming.
"You don't know the half of it."
