now did it?" Jasmina said as they walked to her car from the mall.
"I took a look in her past," Lucy sighed," the girl forgave her ex, I just supposed she was going to give you a speech of how forgiveness heals the most. But no, it just seems like she somehow fueled your desire for revenge even more."
"You should give up on your attempts to make me a good person," Jasmina chuckled as she stepped into the car," I'm a lost cause, you know."
"Hush," Lucy said as she followed suit," you still have twenty-three days left to be reformed."
Jasmina smirked as she gave the signal for the driver to start, shaking her head. "You're really dedicated, but don't worry, I don't plan on going to hell either."
Twenty minutes and a whole discussion about the new fashion trends this season later, they were home. Jasmina sighed as she walked in the mansion, tired from a day of shopping.
And then she got tackled.
"Mina, what the hell!"
Jasmina blinked at her childhood nickname, before she realized who it was.
"Lisa," she said," what are you doing here?"
Elisabeth Jacobs was all blonde curls, messy mind and colorful patterns, Jasmina's neutrals a stark contrast against the flowers that adorned her dress. She had met the girl on the streets when they were thirteen and Elisabeth's dog had grabbed Jasmina's flowing Elie Saab dress and refused to let go. The German Shepherd had even torn her dress, to which Jasmina had inhaled, closed her eyes and then flashed her deadliest smile.
Still, they had somehow ended up friends as Elisabeth had pulled her along to a small boutique and bought another dress for her. Even though Jasmina had never worn it after that and it wasn't a brand she could ever be seen with in her position, she did find it a cute dress in a way.
There weren't many people she would honestly call her friend, but Elisabeth was one, if only because the only reaction to seeing her huge mansion had been an amused question of how she didn't get lost in there. She had then continued her story about how her brother was a professional in stealing traffic signs and offered to get one for her. To this day the only other non-brand item in her room still was a "SCHOOL AHEAD" traffic sign, which was hidden in her walk-in closet.
"What are you doing here?" Jasmina said.
"You got hit by a car!" Elisabeth said, ignoring her question as she inspected Jasmina," how could you not have told me? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Jasmina said with a dismissive wave of her hand.

"Who's this?" Lucy inquired curiously as she looked at her, flashing Elisabeth her brightest smile when they locked eyes.
"Wow, you're gorgeous," Elisabeth said as she looked at the sin, before extending her hand," nice to meet you, I'm Elisabeth. You can just call me Ellis."
"Why?" Lucy smiled as she shook it," I think Elisabeth is a beautiful name."
"You're too sweet," Elisabeth said warmly, before getting back to business as she looked at Jasmina," you still haven't answered my questions, Mina. Don't think you're getting out of this one."
"Didn't you meet anyone while waiting here?" Jasmina said, frowning as she looked up to the other floors, wondering where the troublemakers living under her roof were.
"You mean the six other pretty people suddenly living under your roof?" Elisabeth said," saw them in the living room, but you arrived before I could say hi. That was going to be my next question."
Jasmina parted her lips, but before she could even offer an explanation Elisabeth already spoke.
"Have you started modeling?" she said," if so, I know Nick Waters, he can probably help you get started."
"I would be a good model," Jasmina agreed, before adding," and also, have you forgotten who I am? I don't need any well-known model to help me become famous."
Elisabeth frowned, before realization dawned upon her. "Oh yeah, you're a Nawar right? Still, accept my help, you stubborn woman."
"No," Jasmina said.
"Do you have to die to listen?" Elisabeth sighed, although it was good-natured.
"Seems like that didn't work either," Lucy whispered.
Jasmina shot her a look, before gesturing towards the living room.
"Let's sit down," she said," you know I don't like putting more effort in than needed."
"Dramatic," Elisabeth said," but sure, let's sit."
They walked in the living room then, Lucy smiling as she placed herself beside Ari, who was seated on the couch and talking avidly with Daichi. Gio was sprawled on the floor, a pillow made of clouds underneath his head, Priyanka sitting by his side with a book as she read to him. Victor had placed himself by the window, seeming to be very discontent and bothered as Ira kept talking to him, his hand up as he tried to stop him from whatever it was he was doing.
"Where did you even find these people?" Elisabeth said.
"Hell," Jasmina said.
"Are they that bad?" Elisabeth said as she glanced at her.
"They're actual demons," she said," but I suppose they're fine."
"You're contradicting yourself," Elisabeth said," do you mind them or not?"

Jasmina looked around the rowdy room then, the chatter not bothering her as much as it had before. Normally she had never been one for talk if it wasn't about her, but somehow, somewhere, she had started finding this calming.
"I don't," she said," or well, let's just say I don't necessarily want to kill them."
"That's as much as a love you as anyone could ever get out of you," Elisabeth chuckled," but glad you made seven new friends."
"Friends?" Jasmina frowned.
"Yeah, Mina," Elisabeth said," you know friends, the concept of two people liking each other's presence and having the same interests?"
"Oh, go set something on fire," Jasmina said with an eyeroll.
Elisabeth's lips parted and Jasmina smirked at the weak spot she had hit. Even though her friend was the most loyal person she knew, she also was the only person she knew who had set a fire more than once - and not even on purpose. Jasmina had to admit though it wasn't all her fault.
The one time she had agreed out of boredom to go to Elisabeth's school to look around to see what everything outside of Gaia High looked like had also been the last time. After all, it was Jasmina who had spotted the stack of papers in their Chemistry lab when they walked in and amusedly noted that that was a fire hazard, before leaning against the desk and lighting a match, a glint in her eyes as she told her to guess how fast it could burn. She hadn't really meant to do anything though, only to get a reaction out of her friend.
But when Elisabeth panicked and reached out to stop her, she had accidentally bumped against Jasmina instead, causing the match to fall down and light the whole stack on fire. As Jasmina had stared at the slow flames with faint amusement, Elisabeth had tried to fan the fire out with a nearby Chemistry book. It took her placing the Chemistry book down on the fire in an attempt to put it out, before it was swallowed whole by the flames, for Jasmina to tell her she had only made the fire bigger.
And then they had escaped.
"That was a bonding experience, wasn't it?" Jasmina recalled.
"I got expelled!" Elisabeth exclamated.
"I could have made sure you weren't," Jasmina said," but you didn't want to take me up on my offer."
"Because I won't make my problems yours," Elisabeth said easily, before adding," and also, the school I transferred to wasn't that bad."
"Take care not to set fire on that one," Jasmina chuckled.
When Elisabeth didn't immediately reply, she turned her head towards her, eyebrows raised. The girl gave her a sheepish smile as she tucked a curl behind her ear, eyes wide and guilty.
"Actually -"
"Really?" Jasmina said, laughing as she shook her head," I'm proud, Lisa."
"Don't encourage this," Elisabeth said," I feel like a pyromaniac."
"It's good that you're saying so yourself," Jasmina said with a sympathetic smile," I didn't want to be the one to break it to you."
"You did so on multiple occasions," Elisabeth deadpanned," and you were complicit in this as well."
"I suppose helping with setting a school on fire was one of the reasons I went to hell as well," Jasmina remarked.
"Did they punish you at Gaia?" Elisabeth frowned.
"They wouldn't dare," Jasmina said," my parents practically own Gaia High. If they expelled me, I would ruin that whole school."
"Speaking of Gaia High," Elisabeth said," there's a chance I may be transferred there or to Athena, seeing as I set my new school on fire. So perhaps you'll be seeing more of me."
"What do you mean perhaps?" Jasmina frowned," you're going to Gaia. Athena is filled with way less drama and way nicer people - do you even want to have a good time?"
"Our definitions of a good time vary," Elisabeth said," but I do hope so."
"I'll pull some strings," Jasmina said.
"No need."
"Okay, then I won't 'pull some strings', " Jasmina said as she air quoted her.
"That wasn't sarcastic!"
"I wasn't either," Jasmina said.
"You're such a stubborn person," Elisabeth sighed, before her face softened as she added," but for real this time, are you alright, Mina?"
Jasmina parted her lips, glancing at the sins again for a moment if she wondered whether she was. It wasn't something she had doubted, not until everyone came asking her that question. Was she alright? Shouldn't she be?
She knew she hadn't had enough time to process she had died and gone to hell, as enough people had pointed out to her at this point, but did she even need to? Was there ever an appropriate reaction to being resurrected?
Would she even live long enough to see her friend join her at her school?
"Yes," she said easily, all hesitation gone.
To hell with appropriate. If there ever was a good reaction to something, she surely wasn't the person who would show it.
She would get out of this deal with the devil as easily as she got into it.
She was Jasmina Nawar after all.
"I am good now."
