"....then I woke up in the hospital and tripped over Armin's foot."

Reiner and Bertholdt were stunned mullets, Connies brain had fried, Sasha and Annie tenderly hugged Mikasa, Armin looked like he was constipated. Marco seemed to take it the worst though, he was staring off into oblivion with tears running down his face, motionless.

"Oi Arlet come to observation room 221b" a gruff disembodied voice commanded from the hallway.

"Yes Dr. Schneider, sorry Mikasa I've got to go. I'll come by later and the rest of you visiting time will be over in five minutes to wrap it up." Armin called from the hallway.

As everyone got up and began to say goodbye Mikasa noticed that Marco was still sitting in the same position.

"Marco?"

"Huh, oh yeah Mikasa?"

"I'm not going to press charges."

A certain light fipped Marcos eyes as they welled with releif and happiness.

"Thanks Mikasa, I know what he did is wrong and I may never forgive him for doing this to you and Eren. You two are my amazing friends and all but..but..."

"Marco.... I know."

Marco mouthed his thanks and left with a sincere smile.

"Right now, to find Eren."

Mikasa buzzed her nurse bell and right on queue a lovely middle aged lady stepped into her room.

"What can I do for you dear?"

"I'm looking for an Eren Yaeger? He should have been admitted to this hospital the exact same time as me... as I understand he's in a medically induced coma."

The nurses eyes flickered with sadness for the briefest of moments, but Mikasa had astute observation skills and noticed instantly, which filled her with a sense of dread.

"If you'll follow me then."

Walking by the endless rooms, all looking the exact same, reminded Mikasa of why she hated hospitals. She had bddn exposed to the hospital more than a normal child should have been. She hated the small especially, it reeked of death. Mikasa's spent countless hour's wandering those endless white halls as a child. When she was 7, her parents were in a car crash. Her mother died instantly, apparently, but her father was in a coma untill she was 11 and was paralyzed from the waist down. Her father eventually came to, only to discover he couldn't use his legs, his daughter was four years older than when he last saw her, his wife had passed on and that he had taken the lives of 3 others, including one of a five month old baby. This all proved to much for her father as after a physiotherapy session he plunged his wheelchair into the deep end of a pool.

"We're here dear, please if you need anything just press the button."

Mikasa took a deep breath, her hand still shaking as it reached for the handle. As she closed in on the handle the door swung inward to reveal a beautiful nurse with blonde hair and stunning blue eyes. Her name tag read Historia.

"Oh hello mam, are you another a friend of Mr. Yeager? Rest assured I'm doing my utmost to take care of him and keep him clean. If you go inside I'm sure you'll know everyone else."

"Well she seems nice, but what does she mean by everyone else. As far as I know "everyone else" has gone home or to work."

Mikasa's question was soon answered when she enter Eren's room. There was the brown haired lady who helped her last night, her name was Yemeri or something like that. There was also a black haired stern faced midget.

Mikasa brain had frozen over and she felt she all her primary systems were simultaneously shutting down, as Eren lay there motinless, rigged upto a life support system. This familiar scene sent flashes of her father into her head and his funeral, but this time Eren wasn't here to comfort her. BECAUSE Eren was on the bed this time.
