That same night I was in my room upstairs doing my homework.

Don't be shock!

While I did my homework my room door opened and I looked up seeing my mom.

"Hey darling how was school?" She asked as I shrugged.

"It was good like usual" I said and went back to doing my homework

"So guess what I got a surprised for you" my mom said making a cuddly teddy bear face

"What?" I asked. "Go on guess"

I blinked. "Uh-" "alright I can't keep it in I signed you up as a volunteer for a medical hospital you'll be helping little kids who can't really work well" my mom blurted out.

Even though I was excited I had so much work to do.

"I think you'll like it there" my mom says.

"When do I start?" I asked. "Tomorrow after school your not expected to be early just show up and help" she said.

I smiled. "Okay I like the sound of that" I said as my mom kissed my forehead. "Dinner will be ready shortly" she said before leaving

I put my homework up just now finishing as I decided to take a quick shower.

After taking a warm shower I put on a white plain shirt and some black gym shorts with green outlines.

I went downstairs and started to eat while actually looking up things about what I should do as a volunteer.

I couldn't wait to start working and I hope I actually become friends with some of them

And to keep memory might even take pictures of them.

After eating I went back up to my room and decided to go to sleep early so I could have enough energy to watch the kids.

I really didn't care how long I would be doing this I just couldn't wait to go there.

*After school next day*

"Hey Eren after school want to hang out with me and the guys?" Jean asked walking up to me.

"Uh no I actually have somewhere to be later on today sorry" I said seeing my moms car ahead.

"What you doing?" He asked.

"Just work" I said as I waved to him and ran to the car and opened the door and went inside the car as she drove off.

"Ready sweety?" My mom asked as I nodded

"Yea I've been waiting all day for this!" I said. "I can't wait to meet them"

"I hope you have fun on your first day please be careful and take good care of the kids there are even teens" She said as she pulled up to a medium sized hospital.

"So I just go in?" I asked a little nervous now

"Mhm tell them your volunteering and they will show you who you will be working with" my mom said

"Okay thanks mom love you" I said and got out the car and went inside the hospital.

I went to the front and was waiting for the adult to finish talking so I could go.

By the time it was my turn I came up and told the lady behind the counter I was a volunteer and she told me to wait.

Then a lady passed by.

"Oh doctor Hanji this is one of the volunteers that showed up today" the Lady said.

"Oh cool what's your name?" Hanji asked?

"My name is Eren I'm actually looking forward to this" I said as she nodded and shook my hand.

"Nice to know and like she said I am doctor Hanji and I am looking forward to working with you to" Hanji said

"Follow me" she ordered as I walked after her while we started going down different halls.

"Is there any other volunteers?" I asked

"Not really most people are into sports or academics so we really don't get much help" she replied

I nodded as she brought me to a room where there was a teenage looking girl as I frowned.

She looked in bad condition.

Wires was tied to her, she had a mask on her mouth to help her breathe and a few computers next to her to detect her health.

She looked so young though. Like my age.

"Who is this?" I asked putting my hands in my pockets.

"This young lady I'm sure would love to meet you" Hanji said smiling while walking over to her.

"She has been paralyzed her whole life and stayed inside the hospital since no one can take care of her" she explained sitting down and rubbing her head.

Poor girl. Stayed inside the hospital her whole life, I can imagine the pain she was going through.

"Where are her parents?" I asked.

"They was murdered" she told as I looked at the young paralyzed girl.

Pale skin, beautiful grey sparkling eyes, long black silky hair.

"We try our best to make her feel like a young high schooler" she frowned.

"Can she talk?" I asked. "No we tried so many things the only thing she can use is her eyes" Hanji said

So sad.

I frowned.

I was happy that I would be working with her.

"What is her dream?" I asked interested in the young female.

"And what's her name and age?" I asked.

"Her name is Mikasa Ackerman age 15, her birthday is coming up but she never ask for anything" I smiled.

This was my time to do something good for a girl in need.

She was so interesting!

"And her dream?" I asked again.

"We don't talk about her dream she thinks it will never come true and told us to forget it" Hanji explained.

"Oh" I mumbled.

"Uh how does she talk?" I asked folding my arms.

"She uses her eyes, she looks at one thing and it will be it" Hanji said then stood up.

"Before I leave here are these cards whatever you didn't get that she said you will repeat the question then ask yes or no which are written on the cards whichever she looks at is her answer" Hanji explained

"Well I'm sure your ready good luck Eren" Hanji smiled and left.

As she closed the door I sat down beside Mikasa and watched as she looked at me.

"Hey Mikasa my name is Eren and I'm a volunteer so I will be helping you" I told putting my arms on the bed.

She looked at her hand and I looked back and got the cards Hanji told me earlier.

"Are you saying hi?" I asked holding up the cards as her eyes shifted to the card in my right hand.

I leaned forward and saw she was looking at yes. I smiled.

It felt great to do this.

"Are you happy I'll be with you?" I asked as she looked at the same card and I smiled.

"Mikasa can I ask you something?" I asked as she kept looking at the "yes" card.

"What is your dream I want to help make it come true" I said as she looked at me for a few seconds then looked somewhere else.

"WAIT I'm sorry I made you sad i jus-" I stopped when I noticed she was looking outside.

I stood up and walked over to the window and pointed to it.

"You want to go outside?" I asked and I swore I saw her shake her head a little bit.

"Welp Mikasa I'll take you outside a gift from me" I said as she smiled.

She smiled with her eyes.

I walked over to her and bent over and grabbed the cards. "Hey Mikasa can I be your friend?" I asked holding them up.

She looked shocked at first as she looked at one of the cards. It read "yes"

"Can I take a picture of you since your my friend?" I asked. Her eyes shifted to the other card and I frowned but smiled.

It was okay I didn't need a picture now anyway.

"You and me are going to have a lot of fun Mikasa" I smiled

*Time skipped*

I didn't want to be home. It was so much fun at the hospital with Mikasa.

She seem really happy and I was glad to help her.

I told my mom everything we did together and she said. "Ya grown close quick" which made me red.

I couldn't wait to see Mikasa tomorrow again

But I want to know where I would be taking her outside.

Whatever

I was going to help her complete her dream and I would be taking her to all of the places she loved.

I went to sleep in my bed dreaming of her.

Except she could do everything like talk and stuff.

I didn't know if Eren could tell but I was smiling the whole time.

I had so much fun with him since I ever been in a long time. I felt like he was the miracle god gave me

If so I'm happy. Because a friend like him was all I ever wanted.

I started doing my in-head journal entry again. For fun.

Never forget this day because I finally met and officially have a friend. His name is Eren Yeager and I can't wait to see him tomorrow❤
