《Rain | Harry Styles》2.0

I was woken up by the overbearing heat I could feel myself enveloped in. I hummed quietly as my eyes fluttered open, my eyes settling on the sight in front of me, a gentle smile pulling at my lips.
I let my hand fall to the back of Harry's head, his arm thrown lazily over my waist, and the other resting under his own head. He looked so peaceful; no emotion on his face whatsoever; free of all uncertainty, of all anger, all fear, and all hurt. It was wiped clean; his eyebrows usually raised in a sarcastic manner resting in their ordinary state - a rarity. His eyelids fluttered gently as he slept, covering his green irises - he almost looked vulnerable. He gently blew air between his lips, his breathing steady while his hair lay over his face; flyaway strands against his forehead.
"Stop staring," he murmured, his voice thick with sleep and raspier than ever, and I laughed lightly.
"I can't help it," I dragged my fingers lightly against his scalp while a small smile tugged at his lips. His eyes opened, scanning my face like much I'd scanned his moments ago.
He shuffled his position slightly, his arms winding tightly around me and pulling me into his chest, as I reached to trail the pad of my thumb across his jawline; his skin silky smooth beneath my touch as I brushed the hair away from his cheek, "Good morning," he murmured, his eyes meeting mine as I tilted my head up to look at him.
"Good morning," I returned easily, sinking a little deeper into the pillow.
"Good morning," a third voice sounded from above us, and I jumped, a confused look on Harry's face to match mine.
I sat up suddenly, meeting the eyes of Celia, her eyes stern and her arms folded. I was sure I'd locked the door.
"Celia.." I trailed off, nudging Harry's shoulder so that he, too, would sit up.

"Mum," he groaned, "Fuck off."
I slapped his chest, the stern look not shifting from Celia's face.
"Miss Levin, your parents aren't home yet. I want you downstairs in two minutes - both of you," she demanded, her lips pressed into a fine line as she stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut behind her.
Harry burst out laughing immediately, burying his face into the pillow.
"It's not funny!" I scolded him, collapsing back against the pillow as he roared with laughter, the beautiful sound echoing through the room.
"It is," he continued to laugh, pressing his face further into the pillow, "Miss Levin, your parents aren't home yet," he mimicked in a higher voice, continuing to roar with laughter as he lifted his face from the pillow, "Silly bitch."
"She's not a bitch!" I defended her, "she's your mum, and you love her."
"Of course I do - but she's a silly bitch," he repeated playfully, as I rolled my eyes, pushing the covers off myself, "Where are you going, baby?"
"To talk to your mom?" I frowned, standing up to grab sweatpants from my closet, pulling them on quickly.
"We're actually going to?" he groaned, sitting up reluctantly.
"Yes, come on," I prompted him, glancing in the mirror and attempting to fix my hair.
I turned back to him as he pushed his hair out of his face, scraping it up into a messy bun which I couldn't help but admire.
"You coming or what?" he stood up, nudging my shoulder as I followed him to the door.
"I've never seen you with your hair up," I pointed out.
"Mm," was all he hummed in response as we went downstairs to find Celia sitting at the kitchen table; something I didn't often see.
I sat down across from her, Harry mirroring my position beside me, as I rested my chin in my hand.

"What the hell is going on with you two?" she demanded, "I knew you two were good friends, but bloody hell-"
"We're dating," Harry interrupted her suddenly, causing my head to jerk left to look at him. Celia looked just as surprised as I did, frankly.
"Harry," she bit her lip, "I swear this better not just be a game to you."
"It's not a game," he narrowed his eyes, snaking an arm around my waist, "Ana and I are together."
Celia raised her eyebrows, "And this-" she gestured between us, "this is serious?"
I found myself nodding, as Harry spoke up, "Very," he replied, "Mum, she's really important to me, and you know I wouldn't tell you this if the case were otherwise."
I looked across at him and I heard him say something else that I didn't quite catch, my eyes unable to leave the sight of him; escaped strands of hair framing his face from the the way his hair had been tied back, his tongue wetting his lips every so often when he spoke, his green irises staring ahead. I watched him turn to me; the way his pupils dilated whenever he did enough to make my cheeks flush pink.
"Right, Ana?" he asked, and I nodded, despite my unawareness of whatever he'd said - it was easier to agree.
"Right," I nodded, glancing back at Celia.
"You know her parents would never allow this, Harry," she sighed, staring at him, "not even over their dead bloody bodies, the pair of 'em - sorry, Ana - they're too snobby for anything of the sort."
"I know," Harry nodded, tracing circles on my hip where his hand rested, "but this is something, Mum - I swear it is."
Celia sighed deeply, biting her lip for a moment before lowering her voice, "You used protection, right?"
I groaned, hiding my face in my hands while Harry broke into roars of laughter, clutching his stomach at his mother's worried expression.
"I'm done with this," I stood up from my chair, leaning over to peck Celia's cheek, "thank you for understanding, Celia, I love you, bye," I rambled all in one, rushing from my chair and out of the kitchen, as I heard Harry and Celia mumble other things.
I went straight back to my room, flicking the light on and heading over to grab towels from my chair. 'We're dating.'
The door swung open shortly after, Harry appearing as he wandered over to me, wrapping his arms around me.
"What did she say?" I asked, turning to face him.
"'Don't hurt her', 'please be safe', 'oh god, do you have condoms?' and such," he told me, and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Hey, at least she's supportive," I joked, and he scoffed playfully, lifting his jacket from my chair, to grab his packet of cigarettes, lighting one quickly and taking a drag.
"Harry," I sat down on the edge of my bed, as he hummed in response, "We're dating?" I frowned.
"Oh, yeah," he chuckled lightly, walking over to where I was sitting, placing his cigarette between his teeth, and kneeling in front of me, "I should've asked you about that."
"Pfft, no way," I joked, as he took another drag, blowing smoke into my face as I wrinkled my nose.
"I want to make this official," he grabbed my hand in his, "I want you to know how real this is, yeah?" he grinned, squeezing my hand, "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes," I grinned in return, "yes - of course I will."
