《in time ✱ j. jungkook》✱ chapter thirty-three

"Mom!" I whined, following her around the kitchen. "Please don't make me go! Wouldn't you rather have me study for my upcoming test?"

She groaned and grabbed her purse. "The Jeon's have kindly invited us for dinner, and you are coming with us whether you like it or not."

I pout and watch her pat my dad on the shoulder, signaling him to get his ass off the couch and leaving.

I fake a cough and throw a hand on my forehead dramatically. "I'm suddenly sick and dying, looks like you guys are gonna have to attend this exquisite dinner without me."

My dad chuckles and grabs my arm and pulls me out the door. I whine once he shuts the door and locks it.

"Looks like you have no choice but to come with us." He sends a wink my way and heads to the car.

I stick my tongue out behind his back and drag my feet towards the car, reluctantly getting in the back seat.

The Jeon's — also known as Jungkook's parents — had invited our family for dinner tonight, and to put it nicely, I did not want to go.

I got nothing against the Jeon's. They are wonderful people and they are really good friends with my parents. They're wonderful.

Except that they gave birth to Jungkook.

Every damn time our family went to their house, our parents would practically force us to spend time with each other, knowing about our little rivalry going on.

"What you two have going on is child's play," Mrs. Jeon had once said to us before. "If you guys start to spend more time together, you guys could become really good friends! Who knows, even lovers?"

Gross.

So that's how every dinner went. Our parents would lock us in the basement, forcing us to communicate with each other.

That usually ended in massive Mario Kart races. We played until death did us part, which is also known as getting called for dinner.

It never worked, locking us in the basement and forcing us to spend time and get to know each other. It always ended with us playing a game and Jungkook winning.

Every. Damn. Time.

I'm tired of it. I just want to be able to stay home and watch Netflix without having to worry about Jungkook or a form of how to beat him.

We reached the Jeon's mansion much to my dismay. We got out of the car and rang the doorbell.

I looked to my right and saw a bush. Maybe if I just threw myself in there and hid until my parents went in, they wouldn't notice where I went.

Before I made my final decision, the door swung open, revealing a fancy Mrs. Jeon.

Another reason why I hated coming to dinner with the Jeon's was that they always flaunted how rich they were. They always wore the fanciest clothes and made the place spotless, while at our house we struggle to kill a cockroach in the kitchen.

"Ah, our guests of honor have arrived!" Mrs. Jeon dramatically says, stepping out of the way to let us in.

My parents chuckled and greet her while making their way into the house. I bowed and whispered a small hello before timidly hiding behind my parents.

"Miyoung," Mrs. Jeon says, my head snapping up to meet her eyes. "Jungkook is waiting for you in the basement."

What a kind way to say get the fuck out.

I nod and rush to the basement, only to see that Jungkook was not alone.

There were six other boys with him, two of them being Hoseok and Taehyung. It all starts to click in my head. These were the boys that Jungkook hangs out with at school.

Woah there, Taehyung? I thought him and Jungkook were still in a bad place?

I groan in my head. It would've been a great heads-up if Mrs. Jeon let me know that I would be surrounded by a sea of men.

"Oh Miyoung, you made it." Jungkook smugly says, a smirk forming on his face.

"Miyoung?" Taehyung asks, his head tilting cutely. "What's she doing here, Jungkook?"

"Wait, this is the Miyoung? The one that—"

The boy with a lazy expression was cut off by Taehyung. "Yeah."

I blink awkwardly. "Hi. I'm Miyoung."

"Well, what are you doing just standing there?" Jungkook asks, his eyes glowing in amusement. "Come, there's a seat next to me."

I bite my cheek and hesitantly and walk towards the empty spot next to Jungkook on the couch. I sit down and make sure there's a good distance between us.

I should have jumped in that bush when I had the chance.

"Hey Miyoung, we've heard a lot about you," a boy with crescent-like eyes said. "I'm Jimin."

"I'm Namjoon, nice to meet you." The tan guy next to Taehyung on the floor greets.

I timidly wave back.

The lazy expression boy nods his head in acknowledgment. "Yoongi."

"And I'm Seokjin, a pleasure to finally meet the one who can't beat Jungkook in shit." The super handsome dark-haired boy next to Jungkook remarks.

I glare at him. "Watch your mouth."

He laughs and winks in my direction.

"Hey Miyoung! Long time no see!" Hoseok beams at me.

I instantly feel my shoulders relax at his smile. There was something about him that just made me feel at home.

"Hey Hoseok." I greet back.

"Hi Miyoung." Taehyung waves at me, the heat creeping up on my cheeks. "I didn't know you were coming."

"I was forced against my own will." I say honestly.

Jungkook scoffs. I nudge his side, earning a groan from him.

It was quiet for a while, none of the boys said a word and neither did I. I didn't know what to say, I've never properly been alone with them before. I've heard some things about them in school, but looking at them now they didn't seem like the type of people who would do what the rumors suggested they did.

For example, one rumor I heard was that the Jimin guy broke a girl's heart so badly that the girl went crazy and is now in a mental institute.

Looking at him, he didn't seem like the type who would so shamelessly break a girl's heart and drive her to insanity. But then again, you never really know someone.

"How about we play something?" Hoseok suggests, all of us turning to look at him.

"Sure. What do you have in mind?"

Hoseok smirks. "Truth or dare."

I let out a scoff. "That has got to be the most cliche thing ever."

"Do you have something better in mind, Miss Miyoung?" He mockingly asks, raising an eyebrow.

If he wasn't Nayoung's boyfriend, I would've run up to him and strangled him. How dare he mock me?

I stay quiet, signalling him that he got his answer. He smiles and looks at the other boys. "So? What do you say?"

They nod and shrug their shoulders. I groan and reluctantly go sit with them in a circle on the floor, not wanting to leave the couch.

We sit down and look at Hoseok to begin the game.

"Okay, I'll go first," he says while looking at all of us. "Yoongi, truth or dare?"

"Truth. I'm too lazy to get up and do anything." He says with a bored expression on his face.

Mood.

"If you were gay, which one of us would you date?" He asks him.

Yoongi looks around the room. "Uh maybe Jimin? I don't know man, I don't lie awake at night thinking which one of my friends I would bang if I were gay."

Jimin coos at Yoongi, "Awe I knew you loved me."

"Shut the fuck up Park Jimin before I shove your head down the toilet." Yoongi fires back at Jimin almost immediately, making Jimin cower back but with that cheeky smile still playing on his lips.

Yoongi looks at Seokjin. "Truth or dare?"

Seokjin sits up straight and confidently says, "Dare."

"I dare you to moon Miyoung."

"What?!" I practically scream over at Yoongi, watching his lips form into a smirk. "What the hell?"

Seokjin darts his eyes at me. "Sorry Miyoung, a dare is a dare."

I blink rapidly, feeling my hands starting to sweat and my heart beating rapidly. "Wait, you're not actually going to do it, are you?"

He stands up right in front of me and gives me a cheeky smile. He turns around, his hands gripping at the top of his pants, getting ready to pull them down.

"Come on guys, don't you see that she's uncomfortable with it?" Taehyung pipes in, trying to stop Seokjin.

Before any warning, Seokjin pulls his pants down quickly, his butt in all of its glory for me to see.

I yelp and scram to cover my eyes with my hands. I hear the boys laughing and then a slap.

"That wasn't so bad now was it?" I hear Jungkook say from beside me. With my eyes still closed, I manage to hit his chest.

I open my eyes to see Seokjin sitting down, his cheeks flushed but a grin plastered on his face.

Throwing him off a cliff sounds like a splendid idea right now.

Glaring at him, he looks over and sends me an apologetic look. I stick my middle finger at him, causing everyone to laugh at us.

Seokjin looks at me. "Miyoung, truth or dare?"

I bite my cheek. "Dare." I was feeling confident all of the sudden. "Give me one that has to do something that involves beating the shit out of you."

He laughs and winks at me. "I dare you to seduce Jungkook in any way you can. You gotta make him break though."

"Make him break? What do you mean?" I ask.

"Make him squirm, blush, something." He remarks.

I blink a couple times, turning my head to look at Jungkook who was glaring at Seokjin. His stare was hard, his jaw was clenched, and so were his fists.

"Well Miyoung?" Jimin asks, his eyebrows raising an anticipation.

I fiddle with my fingers as I look at each boy, looking at me in amusement. Except Taehyung, that is. He nudged Seokjin and whispered a couple of things to him.

Well, this was a game, and I said dare because I was feeling confident. I wasn't going to let some stupid dare make me look like a fool.

Like Seokjin said, a dare is a dare.

I nod and crawl in front of Jungkook. His eyes are looking down at his hands.

I sigh, wanting to get this over with as fast as I could.

Shakily, I gently my thumb on his chin, slowly bringing his head up to face me. He looks at me with wide eyes.

I let my thumb rest there, just staring at his eyes.

Truthfully, I never noticed how truly beautiful his eyes were. They were a soft shade of brown and they sparkled. I could get lost in them.

I immediately get rid of my thoughts and scoot closer to Jungkook. I straddle him, wrapping my legs around him and wrap my arms around his neck.

"What are you doing?" Jungkook whispers under his breath, glaring at me.

"The dare." I smirk at him.

I bring my hand up to his hair and start playing with it, the smirk still on my lips. "Jungkookie, have I ever told you how handsome you are?" I mentally cringe at the nickname I gave him.

The boys holler behind me, but I solely put my focus on Jungkook, who was looking at me dead in the eye. I see him visibly gulp, trying to keep his composure.

My hand that was playing with his hair slowly trails down the side of his face. "So handsome." I whisper to him, flickering my eyes to his jaw. I let my fingers slowly run across his jawline.

Jungkook arches his head to the side slightly, giving me more access to his jaw. His eyes are still trained on me, as if daring me to make him squirm.

I'll win this time, Jeon.

I bite my lip and lean down to his ear. "You like that?" I whisper, letting my teeth graze his ear.

Jungkook's chest starts going up and down, signifying that he was starting to breathe harder. I smile and bring my face closer to his.

I cup my hands on his face, forcing him to look at me dead in the eye. "Do I have you going yet?"

His tongue swipes across the bottom of his lip, momentarily making me lose my focus. I look down at his lips before quickly looking back at him to find him wearing a small smirk on his lips.

"What about you?" He asks back in a low voice.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, Jungkook definitely got me going right now. But there was no way I was going to admit that and let my pride diminish.

"Mmm." I voice out, my hand starting to trail down his chest, feeling how it rises up and down.

I grip the hem of his shirt and bring his face so close to mine that our lips were brushing. I could feel his breath fanning on my lips.

He gulped again and looked back down at my lips. I bite down on them, watching him blink and look back up at me.

"You like what you see, pretty boy?" I whisper at him.

The room was quiet. All I could hear were Jungkook's heavy breaths and my heart beating rapidly.

And before I knew it, Jungkook had smashed his lips onto mine, grabbing the back of my neck with one hand and the other gripping onto my waist.

My eyes widened when I realized what was going on. Before I could act upon it, I was yanked away from Jungkook, sending me tumbling across the floor.

"Okay, that's enough of that." Taehyung growls.

I blink, still trying to process what just happened.

Seokjin pat my shoulder. "Well, you completed the dare, but it looks like he got you too."

I grit my teeth in annoyance and make room to sit next to him. "I actually fucking hate you, and I don't even know you."

He winks at me before snapping his head at Taehyung and Jungkook who were sitting next to each other, whispering something harsh.

"Alright, you two stop." Namjoon scolds, causing them to roll their eyes.

Jungkook clears his throat and glares at Taehyung once more. "Taehyung, truth or dare?"

Taehyung glares back. "Dare."

"I dare you to go drown yourself in my pool backyard." He snarls.

I purse my lips to hide a laugh. I shouldn't find that funny, considering he said that to the guy I like, but it was pretty funny.

Jimin nudges Jungkook. "I'll say something for you. I dare Taehyung to sit on Miyoung for the rest of the game."

"Why does every dare have to be with me included?" I groan out, feeling nervous about Taehyung coming to sit on me.

Sure, I've said that I wanted Taehyung to sit on me to Nayoung, but that was a joke. I didn't mean literally, he could crush me.

Not that he's fat or anything, I'm just a tiny person.

Taehyung looks at me and heads on over, sitting on me. I awkwardly place my hands on by my sides, not knowing what to do with them.

He grabs my hands and places them on his legs. "Tell me if I'm too heavy and I'll get off."

I manage to squeak out a tiny yes.

Too late son, he was already super heavy on me. I felt like I was about to die any moment now.

I refused to admit defeat, so the rest of the game was spent with Taehyung on my lap. He would occasionally squirm, making it even more uncomfortable and unbearable to breathe.

He would also turn around to ask if he was too heavy, and every time I would just mutter a no.

He probably knew that he was too heavy on me, but since I didn't say anything, he didn't make a move to get off.

Jungkook would occasionally glance at us with a hard stare, making me uncomfortable.

I kept thinking about the moment I shared with Jungkook.

The more that I kept thinking about it, the more I realized something.

Today was the first time I felt something for Jungkook.

But I didn't realize it until later.
