《The Parent Trap》Chapter Nineteen

The two girls were followed by Momo who was dabbing sunscreen on her nose as she tried with all her might to keep her balance.
"I'm going to kill my trainer when I get back. He keeps saying that I am in such great shape. I can't believe people actually do things like this for fun." Momo plopped down on a near by rock as she tried to catch her breath.
"Brats, hold on, we are stopping." Katsuki called out to the girls who were not too far ahead.
"This is getting annoying." Katsuko mumbled to her sister.
This was like their third stop and it hadn't even been an hour since they started hiking.
"Somebody hand me my Evian... I can't move." Momo breathed heavily as she reached out her hand.
Katsuko spotted a small lizard and grabbed it before putting it on Momo's water bottle.
"Here you go Momo." She said handing Momo her bottle which she immediately grabbed.
As Momo moved the bottle to her mouth she found herself face to face with a small green lizard.
She immediately screamed tossing the bottle in the air but this action caused her to lose to gravity as she lost balance and slipped off a rock.
"Babe, you okay?" Katsuki asked.
"This little guy was on her bottle." Katsumi said showing the lizard after she caught it.
"He won't hurt you Momo. He is more afraid of you then you are of him." She added as she dangled the lizard.
"Yeah right. Just get it away from me. I hate things that crawl. It's so disgusting... It's a lizard, it should be on my belt... Ew how can you even touch it...JUST PUT IT DOWN!" Momo screams again which causes Katsuki to sigh.
He was definitely tired of her screams and drama.
"Why don't you two help Momo while I take the lead." Katsuki says before taking off.
"Yeah right, you are going to help me over a cliff." She says eyeing the girls not knowing that one of them had dropped the lizard on her head.
"You know that's actually not a bad idea. Do you see any cliffs?" Katsuko asked her sister.
Momo groans as she picked up her much heavier backpack.
"Need a hand Momo?" Katsumi asked.

"Not from you thanks." Momo said as she pulled away.
"Don't think that I can't see past those angelic faces. One more trick from you two and I promise I will make both you lives miserable from the moment I say I do, got it?" Momo threatens as she pointed her finger at the two.
"Got it, Cruella." Katsuko answered which made her sister let out a faint giggle.
"What did you just call me?" She asked turning back to the girls.
"Nothing. Not a thing." Katsuko answered before Momo turned her back to the again.
"Cruella." She whispered.
"Um Momo, I think there is something on your head." Katsumi told her before she and her sister passed Momo to walk ahead of her.
Momo reached up to feel her hair. As soon as her hand landed on the lizard she let out a blood coiling scream. The lizard panicked and soon it raced down her face resulting in it going straight into her mouth.
Momo's eyes bulged before she spat it out. She began coughing and gagging in disgust. Katsuki and the girls ran back to witness the seen.
"Ponytail, what happened? Are you okay?" Katsuki asked.
Momo stopped her feet and she pointed at the twins.
Her face was a red shade and they could practically see the steam coming out of her nose and ears.
"Dad what did we do? We were with you the entire time." Katsumi lied.
'This is going to be a fvcking long day.'
Katsuki thought to himself before sighing.
Later that day Momo was walking by herself, cellphone in hand as she tried to find signal.
"Why the hell isn't it working?" She asked herself as she looked at her phone.
She soon stopped as she saw Katsuko and Katsumi examining the ground. She quickly snuck up behind them trying to catch what they were saying.
"I didn't know they had mountain lions here." Katsuko said as she touched what looked like a paw print.
"Yeah, the place is crawling with them." Katsumi held in a giggle as she winked at her sister.
"You know an Indian guide once showed me how to keep them away. Just do this and they will never come near you." Katsumi said as she picked two sticks and hit them together.

Katsuko did the same before walking down the trail, hitting the sticks together. Momo did the same as she picked up the two sticks before hitting them against one another.
Later that night the four sat around the campfire. Everyone was eating trout except for Momo, who was wrapped up in a blanket trying to swat the mosquitoes away while also rubbing the repellent on her arms.
"You sure you don't want some trout , Mom. Is it okay if we call you mom?" Katsuko asked.
"I think your mother would prefer it if you stuck to calling me Momo and no thank you. I do not eat trout. I will wait until breakfast... What are we having anyway." She asked.
"Trout." Katsuki simply answered as he looked at her.
"We always live off the trail up here. It's part of the experience." Katsumi explained.
"What's the other part? Being eaten to death by mosquitoes? Gosh, you'd think they actually love this stuff." She complained as she swatted the mosquitoes away.
"What are you using?" Katsuki asked as he took the bottle and looked at it.
"The hell would you use this? Sugar and water... Where'd you get this?" He asked as he looked at her who in turn looked at the girls who kept themselves busy by eating.
"That's it. I am taking a large sleeping pill and heading to bed." She said and picked up her two sticks before walking them together as she walked to her tent.
"Ponytail, what are you doing?" Her fiance asked as he watched her weird movements in confusion.
"I don't want the mountain lions to..." She paused as she realised that she had been tricked.
"There are no mountain lions, are there?" She asked glaring at the girls.
Katsuki plainly shook his head. She glared at the girls once more before walking up to Katsuki and giving him a hungry heated goodnight kiss. When she pulled back she smiled at the girls before marching to her tent.
"I know you are having fun and all but you brats need to stop now." He warned the girls.
"You need to lay off. This isn't her thing, alright?" He said before heading off into his own tent.
At midnight the girls snuck out of their tent and tip toed over to Momo's one. The girls stepped inside to find a passed out Momo . They first made sure that she wouldn't wake up anytime soon before positioning her body properly on her air mattress.
They counted to three before picking it up. It was not an easy job as they carried her out of the tent. As the carried her Momo's arm moved and brushed Katsuko's nose slightly. Her nose twitched but they kept going.
Soon they got to the lake and gently placed the mattress down before pushing it onto the water. They then watched Momo drift away.
"Sweet dreams Mommy dearest." Katsumi said as the both giggled.
When morning came Momo was still fast asleep in the middle of the lake. A bird had rested on her face. Her arm flopped into water.
"That's nice." She mumbled as she stroke the water but soon her eyes shot open.
She looked straight up only to see the bird making home on her face. She sat up screaming which scared the bird as it flew away.
"KATSUKI!!!" She screamed once more as she realised that she was in the middle of the lake.
Katsuki stuck his head out of the tent still half asleep but his sleepiness soon went away as he saw the sight before him. Momo was thrashing around on the mattress which resulted in her falling in the water.
"What the fvck is she doing in the lake?" He asked as he stepped out of the tent.
The twins peaked their heads out of their tent only to see a furious Momo stopping back to shore in her wet pajamas. She stormed past the camp fire kicking everything that was in her way as she marched up to Katsuki.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Here's what's going on, buddy. The day we say I do is the day I ship those stupid brats to London. Get the picture? It's me or them? Take your pick!" She said to him angrily.
"Them." He said plainly without hesitation.
"Excuse me?" She asked taken of guard by his response.
"You are asking me to choose and I said T-H-E-M... Them, my fvcking brats. Get the damn picture Ponytail?" He asked with a smirk making her scream loudly before marching off.

Stories about "what if" world's where things operate like what a modern person would see in a video game. But another more so would be what it is the people we call NPC's actually think. This story explores such a situation on such a world. My story is called: "I'm JUST a Farmer, NOT an Adventurer!!!" A lighthearted comedy Isekai light novel currently ongoing. I really appreciate feedback and take it all under consideration. Everything helps me improve my story. Let me know your thoughts, what you would have preferred to see, or even things you'd hope happen. I always enjoy hearing people's thoughts. I hope you enjoy reading! I also upload on Wattpad: @TakeshiYumiNori And you can find the audiobook version on YouTube: Just type the title "I'm Just a Farmer NOT an Adventuerer!!! 8 69Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters.
