Gemma agrees to take Anthony off the young parents' hands for the day so Jax can catch up with his brothers at the clubhouse and Alex can visit her parental figures. She parks in front of the Snake Pit and takes a few deep breaths before opening her truck door. "One Boulevardier please, Mister Barkeep." She sits at the counter, a pack of Camel Blue 99's in one hand, a lighter in the other.
"Of course- Alexandrea James!" Sig laughs with a head shake, embracing his daughter figure in a tight hug. He sits himself next to her, sliding her drink to her with a glass of iced tea in his hand. She tells him everything that's happened in the past year. She doesn't keep secrets from him anymore, she learned that the hard way from her teenage years. He's almost in tears when he learns he has a grandson named after him, his middle name. "How long are you guys back?"
"A week." She taps her cigarette ash off. "I really don't want to go back to Vidor, Sig. I don't want to leave everyone again."
"Well, to sound completely selfish; I don't want you guys to leave again either. I know I shouldn't tell you that but damn I missed seeing you, kid."
"I know Jax misses it here. Watching him talk to everyone last night made moving to Texas feel like a mistake." Sig pats her hand. "I'll just have to talk to em, I guess."
"That's the best thing to do." He looks at his watch. "I gotta get back to work, kid. Love you!"
Alex sighs as she sets a five on the counter then heads back to her truck to drive to the clubhouse to get together with everyone again. "Hey y'all." She says as she joins the boys. Jax laughs with everyone as he drops his arm around her shoulders. "What's up?"
"Just catching up." He kisses her temple. "How's Sig?"
"Huh?" She's cut off by a bike engine. "Who's that?" She nods at the man climbing off the motorcycle. "Holy fuck- that's Nick!" Alex runs up to her older brother with a huge grin, throwing her arms around his strong shoulders.
"Wha-" He's surprised at first but realizes it's his baby sister. "Lex!" He chuckles, spinning her around. "I thought you left for good."
"No, I'm visiting actually." She says once she's set on her feet. "Look at you! Patched in! When did that happen?"
"Few months ago." He adjusts his cut. "I feel pretty badass."
"You look badass!" Her brother throws his arm around her shoulders as they head inside the clubhouse. They visit with everyone for hours before Alex starts to get a little tired.
Jax offers to drive them back to his moms house where they cuddle up in his full sized bed.
~
"I can't believe Nick's in the club." Alex mutters over her cup of coffee as she sits across from her fiancé at Gemma's dining room table. It's been a rough few days, emotionally, and they're not looking forward to driving thirty hours back to their house. "I can't believe that Donna has a second kid with Ope. I can't believe we have to leave." She drags her hands over her face and sighs heavily. "Jax, I-"
"Morning kids." Gemma says, heading to the kitchen wrapped up in her black silk robe. She grabs herself a cup of coffee and her pack of cigarettes then returns to her bedroom.

"What were you saying?" Jax asks, his hand on hers.
"Oh nothing." Alex smiles. "Donna and Ope invited us out for dinner before we leave."
"Sounds good." Jax kisses her temple again as he stands. Somethings bothering her, he knows it. He'll get answers out of her later.
~
"What's wrong?" Opie asks as the four walk out of the restaurant and into the parking lot.
"Nothing."
"Bullshit. You got that crease you always get between your eyebrows when somethings bothering you."
"C'mere." She nods to the lamp post on the sidewalk. "I don't want to leave." He leans against the lamp post. "I haven't seen Jax this happy in a while. Look at 'em." They look over at their significant others laughing as they lean against his truck. "We don't belong in Texas. We belong here. I know people say home is where the heart is but it doesn't feel like home when your heart isn't happy." She looks down. "This is all my fault, Hank. We shouldn't have left."
"Let me talk to him. I'll see what he's feeling."
"No. This isn't your problem-"
"It's not an issue. I'm nebby as hell."
"Thanks." Alex sighs, giving him a hug. "Me and Donna'll hang out and y'all can go to the bar or some shit okay?"
"Sure." They return to the other two. "Jax, we need some bro time before you leave."
"Donna, c'mon." She laughs with a wink. Opie gets in his truck with Jax while the girls get into Alex's.
~
"It's nice having you around again, Jax." Opie says as he grips the beer bottle in his hand.
The blonde nods with a slight smile. "Nice to be back. Missed everyone."
"Everyone missed both of you guys." Opie takes a swig of the beer. "How's Tex-ass?"
Jax is quiet for a second. "It's fine." He nods again, trying to convince himself that he likes Vidor. "Nice to be ourselves out there. A family, y'know?"
"Yeah, I know." Opie sighs. "Are you sure you guys want to leave? Alex looks y'know, happy here. And so do you." He quiet again. "I mean she's has that damn smile on her face since she's been home."
"We have a home in Vidor. Our family is in Vidor-"
"Your heart is here."
"You're such a fuckin pussy, man." Jax snorts.
"Hey, I'm just saying." Jax grabs Ope's empty beer bottle and starts picking at the label. "You two belong together and you belong together here."
"It's just all the bullshit with Samcro and if we move back Clay's want me back in the club and- I don't know, man. Life was so fucking hard before we left and now it's just us and it's nice." Jax shakes his head, pushing his hair back. "It's just... fucking complicated."
"It's really not; maybe you're just overthinking it." He watches Jax peel the label off his own bottle. "Talk to her. What do you think she thinks?"
"I don't know. Fuck, Ope!" He rubs his face with his hands. "Our family's in fucking Texas but her and I are here- I don't fuckin know-"
"Just fucking talk to her." Jax gives him a look and clenches his jaw before nodding.
~
"What're we doing here?" Jackson whispers, his hands on his fiancé's hips as they watch their son sleep.
"Us?"
Jax shrugs. "Why are we here in fucking Texas? Like we don't belong here. We don't fit in here." He pulls her hair to the side, pressing a soft kiss against the back of her ear.

"You, uh, wanting to move again?" Alex asks, turning to lean against the crib, smiling up at him.
"Maybe." Jax bites his lip.
"Where would we go?" He shrugs. "Charming?"
"I dunno, possibly."
Alex takes his hand and pulls him to their bedroom, quietly shutting the door behind them. "Can I be honest with you for a sec?"
"Uh, sure." He responds, sitting against the headboard.
"I really missed everyone- Hell, I even missed your mother." She laughs. "And you're right, we don't belong here. We really don't fit in. Well, I do, you don't." She climbs onto his lap, her hands on his shoulder as she plays with the tips of his hair. "But I don't want you to feel, I dunno, guilt tripped or some shit because of how I'm feeling." Jax slides his hands from her hips up to her face, pulling her down for a loving kiss that turns hot in a matter of seconds. "Jax-"
"We'll talk about this later." He breathes against her lips, pulling on his zip up hoodie as he kisses her again. Jax pushes Alex back against the bed, fumbling with her belt while she attempts to unbutton her blouse quickly.
About halfway through their first round, Alex stops Jax with a hand on his jaw. "Let's go home." She whispers as his dick is still deep inside her. "Back to Charming." She gasps as he moves his hips. "You're right- fuckin talk about this later." She grabs his shoulders and shoves him on his back, rearranging herself before they resume fucking.
Alex has a hand pulling on Jax's hair while the other is pinned against the mattress. He flipped positions shortly after she started riding him. He winces as her grip gets tighter as she nears her climax but they're both stopped by a loud, shrieking cry. "Son of a bitch." Alex huffs, her muscles aching from being so tense. "You got it." She pushes him back, breathing hard as she leans over for a joint. Jax rolls his eyes as he pulls a pair of loose sweats on to go check on their son. "Is he okay?" She pants against the baby monitor.
"Yep." He grumbles. His anger shortly melts away as his son grabs his finger, calming down while he holds onto his daddy. "Goddammit, Drea."
"What?"
"Can't be mad at him. Not when he's so little." He's upset that the first time him and his fiancé have had sex since God knows when is interrupted by a crying boy who's totally fine. "He's just fine, I guess." He shakes his head as he slips his finger out of the sleeping boys grasp and returns to the bedroom. Jax sighs, sliding back into bed, wrapping his arm around Alex. "You really think we should go back home?"
"I'd say home is where ever you are but home is us in Charming." She says quietly, running her fingers over the tattoo on his forearm.
"Then let's go home." Jax whispers back, his hand rubbing her arm. He bites his lip, they don't have a place to move into.
"We're not squatting at your mothers until we find a house, if that's what you're thinking."
"Damn you're good."
She pats his chest as she leans up. "Are you sure you want to go back? Like absolutely positive?"
"100%."
~
The Miller-Teller family has all their shit packed in a U-Hal. Alex follows Jax on his bike while he follows the moving truck; Anthony sleeping peacefully in the seat next to his mom. It's a grueling thirty hours but they finally make it back to California and are temporarily staying in the cabin the Sons have nearby. They get their stuff moved into a storage unit for the time being until they find a place to make their own. They didn't tell anyone they're officially back in town; they want to unpack as a family before it turns into a big deal.
Jax is moving their important things into a spot in the living room while Alex and their boy sleep on the bed. He smiles to himself, glad they're back in Charming. He cracks his back before grabbing his dusty cut and a black beanie, heading out to her truck to go pick up some groceries.
"Long time no see, huh Teller?" David Hale says from behind him as they stand in the register line. "Where've you been?"
"Off road livin." He shrugs back. "Nice haircut." It's a slight poke at his buzzed head as he takes a step forward and starts unloading his cart onto the belt, keeping his head down.
"Haven't seen Alex around here in a while either."
"Off road livin." He repeats. "Also a pack of Camel Blue 99's please, darlin and a pack of those orange Zig Zags too, oh, and a box of them Trojans." The cashier adds them to his transaction as she blows a gum bubble. Jax pays then refills his cart, heading out to the lot.
"Where were you guys at?" Hale asks, a small paper bag of his own in his hand.
"Why are you so interested in my life, Hale?"
"Just catching up." Jax hums, shakes his head, then throws the diesel into drive after letting it idle for a little bit. "You guys're back in time for that Taste of Charming fundraiser this weekend." Jax hums again, turning the crank on the door panel to roll the drivers side window up. "See you guys there, huh?"
Jax gives him a thumbs up as he drives off, rolling his eyes.
~
Alex stirs awake, moaning as she stretches; the sound gets Jax's attention from his spot next to her. He smirks as he slides a hand around her middle then up to her breasts. "How long was I out? Where's Anthony?" She mumbles, curling in on herself against Jax.
"In his own bed and just a couple hours." He whispers back, running his ringed fingers through her messy hair. She yawns and sighs, wrapping her hand around his. "The kid's still asleep." He trails his other hand from her shoulder down to her thigh.
"Jax..." she trails off, biting her lip as he gently slides her tank top strap off her shoulder, kissing her skin gently- teasingly. She lets out a tired laugh as Jax pulls her to lay on her back, climbing on top of her.
"Apparently we're back in time for the Taste of Charming fundraiser bullshit this weekend." Alex groans in response. "I know."
"Do we have to go?"
"My mom put it together so we kinda have to." She groans again. "You're marrying into this so it's your fundraiser too."
"Goddammit." Alex huffs, pushing her hair back. "Are you back in with the guys?"
"Oh, I don't know, baby. I'm not too worried about it right now. I mean I have you and my boy so the club isn't a priority."
"Just go talk to em. I'm sure they'll welcome you back in." Jax sighs and kisses her before getting up. "That's a good look for ya, Teller." She bites her lip at the sight of him in just a pair of low riding sweats. He smirks at her as he sashays back to the bed, kicking his pants off on his way before sliding under the sheets.
~
After the Taste of Charming fundraiser, Jax finds himself sitting with his brothers at the picnic table outside the clubhouse. They're asking him all about life in Texas and fatherhood and Alex and the wedding someday. Something feels out of place in Jax's heart but he's not sure what it is. Maybe it's just being back in Charming with the Sons.
He and Alex just signed off on a house and moved their shit in the day before the fundraiser so she's pretty busy with unpacking.
She blows stray hairs out of her face as she slides a box of dishes on to the kitchen counter. Donna's watching Anthony while helping Alex out, her mother is watching her kids. "It's a nice place." Donna comments, looking up at the huge skylights. "It'll look real nice once you're all settled in."
"I hope." Alex sighs, rubbing her lower back. "And I hope this is the last time we're moving for a while." Anthony whines and Alex huffs. "C'mere baby boy." She scoops him up and pops him on her hip.
"When are you and Jax getting married?"
"I don't know. Do you think they'll let him back into the Sons?"
"Probably. Ope kept saying how much they missed him."
"Yeah, missed him spillin' blood." She mumbles, bouncing her child. "Donna, I don't know if I'm just tired or paranoid but I have a really sick feeling in my stomach." The brunette knits her brows together. "I dunno, I just don't feel-" The side door opens and in walks Jax.
Anthony squeals and squirms when he sees his daddy. Jax scrunches his face up as he takes his boy from his fiancé. "Hey baby." He kisses her cheek then pans over the room. "Hey Donna."
"Jackson." She nods back, picking up her purse. "I gotta get going."
"See ya later!" Alex calls after her as her best friend slips out the front door. "How're the boys?"
"Good. They're good." He straps Anthony in the bouncer thing that's hanging from the doorway. "House looks good."
"Oh shut up, Teller. I've barely started-" Jax grabs the side of the blondes face and kisses her lovingly, smiling against her pretty lips. She pulls away with bright pink cheeks. "The guys were just good?"
"Yeah." Jax says as he disappears into their cluttered bedroom. "You hungry?"
"Huh? Uh, yeah." Alex still has that feeling in her gut that something's going to happen.
She's just being paranoid.
Her past times in Charming are haunting her.
"You okay?" Jax asks, his hand on her shoulder.
"Uh, yeah." She gives him a forced smile. "Just tired from moving and all."
"I'll run out and grab some dinner, a'ight?"
She nods as Jax picks up his cut and slides it on. Alex reaches out, grabs him by the front of his shirt and pulls him down for a kiss. "I love you. Be careful, okay?"
"Always am, darlin."
