"No."

"What?"

"No. I said no. You're not leaving with that woman, Jackson!"

"Mom-"

"No! I won't let that- that- harlot take my baby away!" Gemma has tears in her eyes. "This isn't what your father wanted."

Jax laughs. "Y'know what he would've wanted? Me to be actually happy and I can't do that here, mom. It's time for me to start a life- my own life. That's what he'd want."

Gemma huffs, wiping away a tear as she looks out at the TM parking lot. "You're throwing your life away for her."

"Seriously? I'm throwing my fucking life away if I stay in Charming! I'm leaving, deal with it." Jax shakes his head as he stalks back to his bike. He revs the engine before speeding off to Sig and Marge's to finally ask their permission to marry their daughter figure.

~

"No."

"What!?" Sig and Jax say.

"I'm just messin with you baby." Marge laughs, her hand covering her mouth. "Yeah, I mean you've cleaned yourself up for our daughter." Sig squeezes her shoulder. "And since she's leaving, again, we can't be there with her. Now she has you. Take care of her. Look after her. And don't," she stands, slamming her hands against their table, "don't you dare break her heart."

Jax and Sig visibly shrink into themselves as they look at Marge. Sig's never seen his wife this serious before; not even when Alex got arrested the first time. He's kind of nervous. "You have my word, ma'am." Jax smiles. "My promise."

"Then you have our blessing." Marge nods at Sig who pats Jax on the shoulder. "Just remember that if you break our little girl, we'll come after you."

"You got it." Jax smiles again. "You guys did one hell of a job bringing that girl up. She's so great. Thank you guys."

"No, thank you, son." Sig says in a quiet voice with tears in his eyes. "Take care of each other."

"You got it."

~

"Where are we movin to?" Alex asks as she sits on the bed. Jax is drying off from his shower.

"Where do you want to move to?" He shoots back.

"Somewhere south. Somewhere far."

"I've never been past Nevada- well, I mean I've been to Alabama and drove through a couple states but that's it."

"Same here. I'd never been outta California until Alabama." Jax gives her a smile as he joins her in bed. "W-what about Tennessee or North Carolina or- or Texas?" Jax shrugs. "Where're you thinkin'?"

"Somewhere where no one knows our names." He whispers, looking over at her. "So anywhere outside of the West Coast and Nevada." He laughs, pulling her against his side.

"I'll start lookin' for houses in Texas." Alex says, grabbing her laptop and a notebook. "You're good with Texas, right?"

"Oh yeah baby. I'm good with Texas."

~

"Wow." Alex mutters, shoving the last box in her truck bed. "I can't believe we're actually doing this." Jax wraps his arms around his fiancé from behind, his chin on her shoulder. "Holy fuck."

"Can't believe you guys are leaving." Sig sighs, brushing tears away. "My babygirl is leaving us again."

"Oh, c'mon now, Sig. It was bound to happen sooner or later." Marge says sadly. "You take care of yourselves and each other, okay?"

"You got it, Momma." Alex chokes out a laugh that turns into a sob. She throws her arms around her parental figures and cries quietly. "I love y'all."

"We love you too, baby. Make sure you come back and visit us, okay?" Marge wipes her cheek. "Drive safe."

"We will." Jax promises, rubbing Alex's back. "We'll call you when we get there."

Sig and Marge sigh, watching their daughter climb into her truck with her fiancé on his bike and they drive off to the clubhouse to say their goodbyes.

~

"Can't believe you guys are really going." Gemma shakes her head. "Can't believe you're leaving with that woman."

"We're engaged." Gemma's jaw drops. "And we're moving to Texas together to start our life."

"Just be, y'know, cautious." She crosses her arms, glaring at the blonde crying against Opie. "Take care of yourself, Jackson." He gives his mother one last hug and kiss before joining his brothers once more.

"I'm gonna miss you and Donna and your baby girl." She whimpers, wiping her eyes.

"C'mere." Opie wraps her in a bone crushing hug, his chin on the top of her head. "Make sure you guys come back every now and then, alright?"

"You got it, Hank." He rolls his eyes, pushing her away playfully. "Aw c'mon now! Don't be a baby!" She laughs, shaking her head. "I'm gonna miss you."

"And I'll miss you too." He says back with a sad smile. "Jax, she's a handful. Make sure you take care of her."

"I'll try my best." He laughs, rubbing Alex's back. "We should get going."

"Fuck, okay. I'll see y'all later then." She gives Opie one final hug.

"Drive safe, you guys!" One of the guys shout as they follow them to her truck and his bike.

"Bye everyone."

Alex and Gemma lock eyes as she steps up on the lift. She nods at her future mother in law, knowing exactly what she's thinking. Alex gives her a thumbs up and a slight smile. Maybe things'll change once they have some distance between each other.

Soon, the betrothed couple are on their way to Vidor, Texas to start their life together.

~

After a grueling thirty hour trip and many stops, they've finally made it to their home. The guys that drove the U-Haul out to Texas for them offered to help move their stuff into the house.

Jax and Alex collapse on the bare mattress in the middle of their bedroom. "Welcome to Texas, huh?" She chuckles quietly. "I've never been to Texas before."

"Neither have I." Jax yawns. "I'm fucking drained." Alex rolls onto her front, running her hand across his chest with an ornery smile on her lips. "I know that look. Don't give me that look, Drea." She leans down and starts pressing soft, slow kisses against his neck and jaw, her fingers creeping under his shirt, brushing his belt. He bites his lip as he watches her hand. "Alexandrea..." She slides on top of him, her fingers messing with the strings of his hoodie.

"Thank you for doing this with me." Jax smiles up at her, caressing her cheek before pushing her backwards against the mattress. She laughs as he starts kissing her face and neck. "We still have shit to unpack."

"You fucking started this!" Jax whines- actually fucking whines- grabbing her hand to put it on his crotch. "You fucking finish this!"

She rolls her eyes as she pulls her tank top off, followed by his hoodie and white t-shirt. "Fine, you big baby."

~

The young couple have been living in Texas for about three months when Alex starts feeling incredibly tired and bitchy and achy. She brushes it off as stress, she's just adjusting to living in Texas with Jackson Teller.

Speaking of Jax, he's currently working as a mechanic in a nearby shop and he surprisingly loves it. He loves being Jackson and not the VP of an outlaw biker club. Sure, he works twelve hours days but he loves it. He's in the middle of his shift when he gets a call from his future bride. "What's up? You okay?"

"I don't want you to freak out." Is the first sentence to his ears. "Are you gonna freak out?"

"Depends." He responds as he sits on a nearby stool, his phone tucked between his ear and shoulder as he wipes his grease covered hands off.

"Okay. I thought I was having a panic attack at work because I couldn't breathe and I was dizzy as fuck and my heart was gonna fall outta my ass so Terry told me to calm down in the bathroom. Well, I fucking threw up a couple times and now I'm sitting in a room at the urgent care."

"What- what? Which one- where are you?"

"Jax, I'm fine. Just stay there."

"No. Drea, where the fuck are you?" She rolls her eyes. "Don't do that- don't roll your eyes. Where are you?"

She sighs, taking a deep breath as her stomach turns. "The one off 105, across from that shitty barbecue place that made you sick."

"I'm on my way." He tucks his phone away then rushes to his supervisors office to tell him the situation. He's given the OK and rides the ten minute trek to be with his fiancé.

~

"There's no way." Alex laughs. "No way!" She shakes her head. "You got the wrong file."

"Alexandrea James Miller? That's you right?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Yeah, you're pregnant."

Alex snorts as her eyes shooting to the door as it opens. "Told you I was fine."

"Hi, I'm Jax-Jackson, Alex's fiancé." The blonde extends his hand to shake the doctors. "So what's up? What's wrong with her?" He asks as she shoves his dirty hands in his dirty work pants.

"Nothing! She said it's just a stomach bug." Alex laughs nervously, running a hand through her hair. "She said I'm good to get back to work."

"I know it's none of my business and patient confidentiality but-" There's a call for the doctor over the loud speaker.

"C'mon." Alex says, heading to the door. Jax follows behind her, patting himself down for his pack of smokes. "Get back to the shop, babe." Jax grabs her hand. "Let's just talk about this later, okay?" He wants to protest but just agrees anyway. "I love you."

"Love you too, baby." Jax forces a smile as he hops on his bike. "See you at the house."

"You got it." She clicks her tongue and winks before climbing into her truck. Her boss gave her the rest of the day off for her to rest. As soon as Alex shuts the door, she lets out a body shaking sob into her hands with her forehead against the steering wheel. She can't be pregnant, not now. She was hoping to get a year into Texas living before even thinking about birthing a whole ass human. She takes a deep breath, resting her head against the headrest, wiping her eyes.

She clears her throat before throwing the truck into drive to head back to her house.

~

It's a little after six and Jax finally makes it home. He yawns loudly as he throws his work blouse over the back of a chair. "Hey babe." Alex says softly from the kitchen as she takes a lasagna out of the oven. "You gonna gimme a kiss or not?" Jax smiles to himself as he makes his way to the kitchen, stepping over half empty boxes. He kisses his fiancé then heads to the bathroom to shower. Alex takes a shaky breath in before snagging a couple plates from the dish rack.

When Jax returns to the kitchen, he gets himself a beer and sits at the table. "Smells great." He sighs, rubbing his face. Alex forces a smile as she sits next to him. They eat dinner in silence.

~

"You gonna tell me what happened today?" Jax mutters from the sink.

"What happened today?"

"Seriously?" He drops a plate into the sink. "You're gonna sit there and act like nothing fucking happened?" He clenches his jaw as he reaches over to grab a cigarette. He lights it, leaning against the counter. "What the fuck's going on with you?" She keeps her head down, tears already in her eyes. "Alexandrea."

She wipes her face with her sleeve and looks away. "Fuck off." Her voice breaks.

Jax's face softens as he moves to sit next to her, his torn up hand going to her knee. "Just- just talk to me. If we're gonna be married, we gotta communicate with each other, right?"

"Jackson, it's- it's not that easy." Alex whispers, her lip trembling. She reaches for the pack of cigarettes on the table, struggling to light her smoke with the lighter. "This is so fucking shitty."

"What is?"

"I- I'm pregnant."
