thejamescdean as William "Will" Davis
+++
William Davis is a very sweet guy. He goes to church every Sunday with his family, prays before every meal. He helps his granddad out on his farm and has been since he was nine, he's getting that land when he passes. His hard working, calloused hands are littered with scars and scabs from getting them stuck in things like the innards of tractors or the engine of his white and red 1989 Dodge First-Gen Cummins. He actually had convinced Alex to trade in her powder blue 1964 Pontiac GTO for her pickup truck. He's such a hard working young man that he doesn't know when to stop; he'd work a twelve hour shift out for ALDOT then do four more hours at his grandfathers farm before and after work. He would make time on his days off to help Alex out with anything she needed. He also helped her quit smoking.
William Davis is an extremely selfless man.
Jax isn't impressed.
Will parks his truck in front of the Snake Pit Alehouse and takes a deep breath. He's 99% sure that this is the right place.
She said the Snake Pit Alehouse on Melrose at 5, that's the earliest she's able to get off.
Will straightens his jeans and snap button shirt after he puts his cowboy hat on his head, covering his soft brown hair. He taps the toes of his boots off onto the pavement before he steps into the dark smoky dive bar. He looks around at the neon signs and pictures and fake drivers licenses that cover the dark wood walls as he takes his hat off, using it to fan around him as he coughs slightly at the thick air.
"Well, don't you look outta place." Melinda says from behind the bar, a rag in her hand. "What can I get for you?"
"Oh, nothin' ma'am. I'm just lookin' for my friend, but thank you." He smiles politely.
"Uh-huh." She looks him over. "Are you waiting on Alex?"
He nods. "Yes ma'am."
She chuckles then disappears around the corner, finding the girl leaning over the kitchen counter. "Hey, there's a handsome young man here to see you." Alex looks up from the order sheets in front of her. "Really handsome." Melinda has a slight blush on her cheeks as she fans herself.
"Huh." Alex drops her pen and stands straight. "Will!" She laughs as she gives him a hug. "How are you, honey? How was the trip?"
Melinda chuckles to herself as she listens to them talk in their southern accent, his is way stronger than hers. "It was great. I had to stop a few times to refuel but nothing too crazy." Even his laughs are handsome. Melinda has no idea what's keeping Alex from being with him rather than that blonde asshole biker. "You look great!"
She waves him off, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "Sit down and I'll grab you a drink."
"Oh no, baby-"
"Hey, it's on the house." She winks at him making him blush. "What can I getcha?"
"Surprise me."
Alex smiles as she makes him his favorite: a Rum and Coke. She sets it in front of him and leans against the bar, catching up with him. It's so refreshing to see him again, she admits she missed him.
"Hey kid." Sig says, his nose in his checkbook. "What's the count on-"

"Sig!" She grins. "Will, this is Sig. Sig, Will."
"So you're the famous Will, huh?" Sig puts his checkbook holding hand on his hip as he holds his glasses in the other. "Nice to finally meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, sir." He says, extending his hand.
The older man's face breaks out into a grin. "I like this one, kid." He pats her on the back causing her to roll her eyes.
"I get off in a few minutes, okay? You okay to hang out until then?"
"Sure." He smiles.
"Hey Alex!" Opie says as he reaches the bar. "The usual, please."
"You got it, baby." She winks at him before she spins and grabs the pitchers and appetizers, heading to the biker gang. Will watches her leave, smiling into his drink. "How's it going with Donna?" She asks, wiping her hands off with her apron.
"It's great. We're together now, y'know, officially."
She grins and reaches over to hug him. "You take care of that little lady, okay? Don't get her into any trouble."
He rolls his eyes. "We still on for later?"
"You betcha." He gives her a nods before joining his brothers.
"Who's that?"
"That's Opie. We grew up together."
"Who're they?" He nods back to the brothers in matching leather.
"They are the Sons of Anarchy." She says after a bit of silence.
"Uh huh." He runs his tongue over his straight white teeth. The door swings open. "Who's that?" He asks as he watches Jax's reflection sit in the middle of everyone in the mirror above the bar.
"That is Jax-uh, Jackson." She can't help the blush. "You'll meet everyone later tonight."
"Oh, y'all havin a party?"
"Yeah. When I'm not closing up on Fridays, we usually do. Hope you don't mind."
"Oh no, not at all."
One of the guys calls her name. "Excuse me." She smiles at him, heading over to the guys. "What's up? Y'all ready to order your drinks?" They all nod then place their orders. "Be right back." Will watches her carefully make their drinks, his dark eyes trail from her chest to her legs. She's even more beautiful than he remembers, if that's even possible. He glances up and sees them tip her, all with matching smiles. "Have a good night, y'all."
"See you in a bit, baby." Jax says, looking her over.
She winks back then returns to the bar. "Ready?" She asks Will as she takes her apron off.
"Sure." He picks up his hat and puts it on his head, following the girl out of the bar. "Where're we goin?"
"Here." Alex sighs as she heads up the narrow stairwell to her door. "Home sweet home." She unlocks the door and flicks on the light.
Will takes in the small apartment. This place is the size of her old houses kitchen. He looks at the pictures she has pinned to the wall, smiling when he sees the ones of them at a country music concert and them in his granddads field. "Nice place."
"Thanks." She smiles, setting her purse and jacket on the wooden chair. "Everyone should be here 'round seven so we got two hours to prep ya."
"Prep me? For what? Should I be scared?"
"Very." She teases, grabbing a Modelo. "I'm just messin' with you." She hands him the beer, sitting down on the flat plaid couch. "I can give you a tour of Charming later, but tonight you're meetin' my best friends." He takes a deep breath as he throws his arm on the couch behind her. She leans against him and turns the TV on.

"It's nice to have you 'round again." He whispers, playing with a piece of her hair. She sighs and closes her eyes, her head against his shoulder. He ends up falling asleep with his arm around her, keeping her against his side as they rest together.

"Rise and shine, sleeping beauties!" Opie shouts as he swings the door open. She jumps and groans, rubbing her eyes. "Rise and shine!"
"Is it already seven?" Alex whines, standing slowly to crack her back. "Shit, we slept for two hours." Will yawns and shrugs, standing too. "Where's Donna?"
"She's grabbing the six pack outta the truck." He responds as he drops a suitcase of Yuengling Flight on her kitchen counter. "Will, right?" He asks as he points to the redneck.
"Yessir." He nods, tossing his cowboy hat on the top of the fridge to keep it safe and out of the way. The door opens again. "You must be Donna." He greets the petit brunette.
"That's me." She giggles shyly, her cheeks going pink at the grin he returns. "Will, right?"
"Yes ma'am."
The door opens for the third and final time. Jax enters silently, not meeting Will's eyes. "Hey baby." He drapes his arm around Alex's shoulder to make a point to their guest.
She elbows him away. "Jax, this is Will from Bama. Will, Jax. Jax, Will." The two shake hands.
The tension is so thick you could cut it with a fucking knife.
"Nice to finally meet you face to face." Jax says somewhat sarcastically. They stand with the same build and same fire for Alex. "How long're you staying?"
"Jax." Alex smacks him in the gut. "C'mon, be nice." Will keeps his mouth shut as he picks up a beer can, popping the tab on it. "I ordered a couple pizzas, hope that's alright."
"Works for me, darlin'." Jax smirks as he presses a kiss to her temple.
Will feels his body tense with anger when he sees that. He knows Jax is doing that on purpose to make a point that Alex is with him and not with himself.
The quintet spends the night laughing and talking leaving Will feeling kind of left out. He knows absolutely nothing about these people or Charming.
After a few more hours, Alex lets out a yawn. "Will, you can stay here if you'd like. I don't mind."
"I do." Jax mutters.
"Are you sure? I don't wanna be a bother or anything."
"Oh I don't mind, baby." She smiles and stands from her spot on the floor in front of the couch. "Let me grab you some extra blankets, it gets real cold in here at night." Alex heads back to her bedroom and grabs a quilt out of the closet along with a spare pillow. "Here."
"Thank you." He blushes slightly before he glances back at Jax. "Well, it was nice meetin you."
"Likewise." The blonde stands and heads back to her bedroom, undressing himself on his way there.
"See you in the mornin, Will." Alex leans over and gives him a kiss on the top of the head. "Sleep well."
+++
Alex is woken up by a hand roaming her body, fingers tugging on her panty waistband. "Jax." She whines, pushing him lazily. "It's so early."
"I can't sleep." He whispers back, his hand slipping up to her breasts under her shirt.
"Try harder." He pushes his hips up to meet her ass. "Dude." Jax starts kisses her neck, pulling down her neckline to get to her shoulder. She whines again, turning on her back to look at the blonde in the dark. "What time it is?"
"Two."
"Two!? And you're waking me up because you're fuckin horny!?" She whisper shouts earning a soft laugh in return. He flips the bedside lamp on while she stretches one arm out against the sheets with the other resting above her head. Her frustrations melt away when he slips his hand further into her panties. "Jax..." she moans louder than a whisper when one of his fingers slides into her slowly, teasingly.
He clasps a free hand over her pouty lips, leaning down close to her. "You gotta be quiet." She nods. "Can you be quiet?" She nods again. "Then be quiet." She rolls her eyes. Jax has her biting her lip as he pushes her shirt up to her shoulders, capturing a nipple in his mouth then moves her panties to the side. He presses soft teasing kisses over her body while he tugs his underwear down.
She moans outright and loud suddenly when he starts sliding in slowly. Jax immediately puts a hand over her mouth, stopping his hips after he pushes deep inside her. "I told you to be quiet, Drea." He breathes against his hand. She suddenly shoves her hips up against his making him moan harshly.
Alex shoves him on his back, climbing on top of him to sink down. He lets out a shaky breath, biting his tongue to keep his noises in. "You gotta be quiet." She smirks with a hand over his mouth. "Can you be quiet?" Jax raises an eyebrow at her. "Be quiet."
She starts moving again, her hand heavy against his lips as he lets out soft moans that matches hers.
Will lays awake in the living room, glaring at the ceiling as he listens to the squeaky springs, hushed moans, and quiet whimpers.
What a horrible way to start this trip.

A few hours later, Will is woken up by a door shutting. He stirs, lifting his head off the pillow. "Morning." Alex says cheerfully, heading to the kitchen to start some breakfast as she's dressed in just an oversized tee. "How'd you sleep?"
"Not too bad." He shrugs, kicking his feet over the edge of the pull out mattress. She looks at him from over her shoulder, her eyes lingering at his shirtless body. He's fit; toned. She clears her throat when he catches her looking. "How'd you sleep?" He asks as he stands, adjusting his sweats so they're a little lower on his hips.
"Not too bad." She smiles back, her chest heating up when she looks him over. Alex subconsciously grips the edge of counter top, her bottom lip tucked between her teeth. "Um." She inhales sharply when she feels him leaning against the counter behind her. "Hungry?"

It seemed like an obvious prey soul, given it wasn't in the village's records. Only the strongest could be part of the village guard. He thought that would never get the chance to defend the village from the spike feeders, the deadly creatures jutting out with hazardous spikes haphazardly all over. Only predator beast souls were given the requisite training and allowed to join the village guard. Perry just didn't meet their criteria. He was also wrong.Soon Perry will live out his wildest dreams and more, as he scales the rankings of beast soul mastery, fights innumerable dangerous spike feeders and solves mysteries related to the origin of beast souls and spike feeders. And maybe, just maybe, he'll even get to join the city guard. Genre-wise, Mortal Mewling is a GameLit story (light on the GameLit) focused on action and adventure. The Gore tag is there more as a precaution, rather than a promise to keep producing gory words. Mortal Mewling is a bit of a slow burn in terms of start, scale and capacity of the protagonist.
