In the morning around 8 am Karan wakes up due to the hustle and bustle in the lounge. He curses himself a little for being careless and falling asleep and then rushes to Monami's room.

He finds a nurse standing outside the door of her room.

"Can I go inside..???" Karan questions the nurse..

"We just checked she has not regained her consciousness I suggest you to wait.." the nurse replies him.

Karan without questioning further goes back to the lounge to sit when his phone rings. The name that flashes on the phone is of Faizi ...

"Hello Karan.."

"Hello Faizi, Good Morning"

"How is Monami Karan...any updates..??"

"She is still unconscious... I went to check her just a few moments back but the nurse didn't let me in..."

"Ohhhh..."

"You want to say something more Faizi..??"

"Karan.. I ... I actually wanted to ask you something.."

"What Faizi..??"

"When are you coming back..???"

Karan's jaw dropped at Faizi's question.. he was not expecting this to come from his friend "Faizi you are well aware about the relationship me and Monami share... she was with me when she was shot...and the bullet" Karan shakes his head.. "I need to be by her side and take care of her. I can't comeback... not until my duty calls because my duty to my country is most... Wait is about my duty as a special agent..??"

"No Karan.."

"Then why do you want and how do you expect me comeback."

"Karan actually the cadets are doubting your relationship with Monami and being their trainer this is not good."

"How did they come to know about this" the surprise and shock in Karan's voice is clearly visible.

"You were with Monami at the mall Karan and then you are staying back with her.. doing two plus two doesn't take time Karan and when they come to know she took the bullet for you it will make things more clear to them."

"But I am not favouring Monami in any ways professionally, so it shouldn't concern them right.."

"May be not today Karan, may be in future...they will surely raise doubts though there is no clause of relationship between a cadet and trainer in the academy rules this can still turn problematic for you."

"Faizi I will talk to you about this later, I need time.."

"I understand Karan, please take care of yourself.."

Karan hums before ending the call. He gets up, freshens up, changes into clothes Faizi gave him yesterday. Karan spots the doctor as soon as he exists the washroom and rushes towards him. He questions the doctor about Monami but the doctor ignores him as he was accompanied by someone and walks past him. Disappointed with this behaviour of the doctor Karan again heads to the waiting lounge when Batra Sir calls him to ask about Monami's condition. As Karan cuts his phone he notices a nurse waiting for him, the nurse informs him he can meet Monami although she is still unconscious. Karan without wasting a moment walks almost runs towards her room.

As he enters the room he notices Monami lying still on the bed wearing the hospital gown which ended a little above her knee and the plaster on her thigh was clearly visible. He walks towards her, kisses her forehead and sits by her side. Karan cups her hand in both his hand and breaks down as if he was waiting for this moment for long. He lets out all the buildup inside him from the time Monami took the bullet on her.

"I am sorry Monami, I am really sorry you took the bullet meant for me.. I should noticed what you were going to do, I should have pushed you away. Monami if something happened to you I also wouldn't have survived.. I would have died of guilt... You have indebted me in your love for life Monami..." Karan kisses the back of her hand and notices Monami opening her eyes. Monami opens her eyes and Karan starts to leave the room to call the doctor when Monami hold his hand... "Don't leave me Karan"..

"I will never leave you Monami..but at this moment calling the doctor is more important." Karan frees himself slowly and carefully and goes to call the doctor. The doctor comes in who is definitely different from the doctor Karan asked about Monami in the morning.

"I called the wrong doctor.. I didn't remember the doctor, I made such a big mistake... how is that possible.. How could I be so careless that too in case of Monami.." Karan thinks to himself while the doctor checks on Monami.

"She is good.. the nurse will take her for an X-ray and some other medical tests in an hour before we decide the further course..till then get these medicines from the pharmacy" the doctor hands over a prescription to Karan.

In the evening the doctor comes in Monami's room when Karan is feeding her fruits. Batra Sir and Faizi visited Monami while the cadets were not allowed to do so in the day time. Faizi tried to talk to Karan about the matter he informed him on call but was not able to due to constant interruptions by Monami and Batra Sir.

"The reports are, she is all good... but we will still keep her for three days in order to ensure that she is ready to go but I would also like to inform that she could not do her training for almost a month. It will take time for her to heal completely but in case she does the training and a little extra pressure is put on her thigh it could lead to permanent damage. We will also do some physiotherapy sessions here which you can continue at the academy. Hope that is clear." The doctor informs them handing the medical examination reports to Karan.

"Can't I go back to the academy doc..??" Monami asks the doctor with pleading eyes.

"You are a doctor yourself Monami, you should know NO. You will not be taken care of there as you are here."

"But doc I am a doctor myself I will be able to"

"I am sorry doctor Monami" the doctor leaves the room followed by the nurse.

"But I want to go back." Monami makes a pout and puppy eyes. Karan smiles at her antics and gives her a side hug then a peck on her forehead.

"It is ok Monami we will go after 3 days" Karan goes to make a call to Batra Sir in order to inform him of the medical reports.

For the next three days Karan attends each of the physiotherapy session of Monami in order to take care of her at the academy, he made sure to give her all the medicines on time, fed her with his hands, braided her hair daily, slept in the room on the sofa showered her with immense love and care.

Karan and Monami also discussed and decided to reveal their relationship to everyone in the academy.
