Karan and Monami take permission for off of few days over a phone call to attend Faizi's marriage.

Karan and Monami on their way discuss about gifts for Faizi and Koel on their way and reach Mumbai chattering all the way. Monami is shocked to see Mumbai rather than Deolali.

Karan lies to Monami ..

: Maine socha shopping yahin se kar lete hain ...

: Nice thought Deolali mein pata nahi sab mile yaan nahi...

Karan smiles a little and drives to Monami's house...Monami is surprised to be there...

: Hum yahaan kya kar rahe hain Karan...??? Tumhe maine bataya tha na mere aur mere dad ke beech...

Karan ignoring Monami unlocks her seatbelt and then his...

: Andar chalen...

: Karan maine kuchh poochha hai..

(getting down from his jeep ) : Chalo andar...

Monami keeps sitting and Karan goes and opens her door...

: Papa mujhe andar aane hi nahi denge... Karan baat samjho..

Karan forces Monami to get down from the car and and he rings the bell of her house. A servant opens the door...

: Humen Dr. Mahajan se milna hai...

: Ji Sir.. Monami didi aap...

( announcing ) : Monami didi aayi hai ... Monami didi aayi hai sahab ...

Monami enters the house and the flashback of the day she last time entered comes in front of her eyes...

Dr. Mahajan : Kya karne aayi ho yahaan ...???

He goes to sit at the dining table and picks up magazine

Monami : Papa meri training khatam ho gayi...

Dr. Mahajan : Theek hai achhi Baat hai kal se hospital join kar lena...

Monami : Maine aage apni post graduation complete karne ka socha hai ...

Dr. Mahajan : Theek hai admission le lo aur saath saath hospital mein kaam karti rehna...

Monami : Main aage bhi apne desh ko serve karna chahti hoon...

Dr. Mahajan : Tum yahaan waapis aa gayi ho iska matlab tumhari training poori toh hui nahi hogi... toh phir...

Monami : Papa maine academy mein top kiya hai... aur ab main ek well qualified doctor bankar country ko hi serve karna chahti hoon...

Dr. Mahajan turns and looks at Monami for the first time since she has entered the house...

Dr. Mahajan : O toh tumhari training khatam ho gayi hai... and you don't want to work in the hospital and carry forward its legacy..

Monami shakes her head with utmost respect...

Dr. Mahajan : You are very clear with your choice... Good ( In a sarcastic tone ) ( Then raising his voice) You can leave this house permanently and never show me your face...

Monami sobs silently and leaves the house...

Monami turns to leave while Karan keeps standing there ...

Monami stops and is awestruck by Dr. Mahajan's words... she turns back... and keeps looking at him...

: Yes you heard it right...

Monami walks closer, towards her Dad...

: I am sorry... main apni legacy se aage tumhare sapne tumhare career kuchh nahi dekh paaya... aaj tumhe country ne honour diya and yeh bahut badi baat hai... Tum iss kaabil thi main hi kabhi nahi pehchan paaya...

Karan faintly smiles hearing this... and Monami and her father hug...

Then both of them have lunch with Dr. Mahajan where in Monami discusses about her life during PG , they discuss Sid etc...

: Jo jhooth bolkar laaya tha, ab woh kar lein... I mean shopping ka socha tha... shopping yahin se kar kar chalte hain..

Monami agrees and they both go shopping

In a shop

: Kuchh kapde dekhne the shaadi ke liye...

: Congratulations Sir , congratulations ma'am on your marriage...

Monami and Karan look at each other embarrassingly...

: Humari shaadi nahi hai bhaiya humare dost ki shaadi hai...

: O toh aap donon ki shaadi ho chuki hai...

: Nahi bhaiya...

: Yeh kya laga rakha hai... Aap kapde dikhaiye na...

: Aaiye Sir...

: Kya Karan itni rudely baat thodi karte hain...

: Bakwaas kare jaa raha tha...

: O toh woh humen couple bula raha tha toh tumhe achha nahi laga...

Suddenly the shopkeeper presents a dress in front of them

Karan sighs and says in his mind

While Monami looks at him and thinks

They go through various dresses and Monami chooses a sea green lehnga for herself and goes on to try that... Karan couldn't take his eyes off from her when she comes out of the try room.

Monami finalises that lehnga... and then buy dresses for other events..

They move on to Karan's shopping and Karan chooses a royal blue outfit for him while Monami insists him to buy sea green for their twinning. But Karan doesn't pay heed to her...

: Isse twinning kehte hain Karan... Sid aur Sanju bhi same colour ke kapde pehn rahe hain...

: Woh donon official couple hain married hain...

Karan is shocked to hear these words..

: Excuse me , tum mujhe shaadi ke liye propose kar rahi ho...

Monami shakes her head as she realises what she has uttered wanting to say yes ...

: Tumhe kya lagta ek baat manwane ke liye shaadi thodi kar loongi woh bhi tumse... Chalo shopping ho gayi hai... matt maano meri baat I don't care...

Karan and Monami pay for their respective clothes and leave for the academy, they don't talk at all in the entire journey. Karan tries to initiate conversation at various instances but Monami ignores him.
