《》6. Irritation

I heard a knock on the door as I held together the back of the two piece on my body.
My left clutched the clasps on my skirt part, my right holding onto my bra.
Fuck.
"Come in!" I panicked.
He opened the knob, looking at me as I tried going back to the bathroom.
"Do you need help?" He asked.
"Maybe a little." I tried blowing my curtain bangs from out of my face.
He peeked into my bathroom as he came in behind me.
"Top or bottom first?"
"Top." When I felt he had both sides I let it go.
I moved my hair and he did the clasps before doing the same with the bottom.
"Relax, I'm early." He grinned.
"You scared me! I wondered why 30 minutes passed so fast." I glared and he shrugged.
"You can go watch- oh alright." I saw him sit on the lid of the toilet beside where I was getting ready.
I put on my dark red lipstick with mascara.
I put on light highlighter, checking to make sure my low bun was in place.
I went to my now empty room, grabbing the heels and walking back into the bathroom.
"I need help." I pulled on the base of each heels, backing up as I lifted my leg, placing my foot firmly on his chest.
He made a strange face again, similar to the one last week but I ignored it as he did the strap and clasp for me, doing the same with my other foot.
I grabbed my baggie of jewelry I saved for today before my boxes were taken last night.
I put on my small silver necklace with a little moon charm. I put on a few bracelets and checked the time.

"Perfect. You ready?" I looked at him and he stood.
"I am." He nodded and I turned off all the lights to my empty apartment, holding my baggie and makeup bag.
"Bye apartment." I whispered, opening the door for him and he stepped out as I did too, locking it behind me.
He grabbed my things from me, carrying them to the car and setting them in his back seat before opening my door for me.
"Thank you." I smiled and he nodded, shutting it as he walked into his own side.
Here we go.

"That's it?" I asked.
"That easy. You sign these, it's all done." The man shrugged.
I signed the paper, watching Reid sign it as well.
"Alright, now legally, you're husband and wife. Congratulations." He took the paper with him as we left.
"That was the easiest thing ever." I looked up at him.
"Because that's all you have to do. I have to get you switched to my insurance and all of that fun stuff." He smiled.
"I could help." I frowned.
"It's not needed, I got it done before this. Oh and here." He pulled out the black box and I pulled the one I had out too.
"Mine first. I'm proud of it." I smiled.
"Okay." He nodded and I opened it, showing him.
"Holy shit." He grabbed the box, looking closer at it.
"Isn't it cool?" I chuckled.
"That's badass. That's so cool." He handed me the box and I took the ring out.
"I asked your assistant for your ring size. Somehow he knew it." I put it on his left ring finger.
"I wear jewelry often." He nodded and I hummed.
"My turn. I did get you an obnoxious ring like you wanted but I also liked it a lot sooo..." he opened the box.

"Oh wow, that's so pretty." I could see it from far away and it was so nice.
He took it from the box, putting out his hand as I laid my left one in it.
He slid the ring on my finger, his thumb moving gently over my knuckles.
"That's crazy." I whispered, looking closely at it as we walked to the car.
"You like it though?" He asked.
"I love it, I feel boujee." I smiled as he opened the door for me.
"Get used to it sweetheart." He shut the door.
He got in on his side and I looked at him before he started the car.
"What?" He asked.
"Do me a favor?" I tilted my head and he sighed, raising his eyebrows.
"Don't be a total ass tonight. I like when you're a little bit nicer." I buckled myself in.
"These people are pricks." He told me.
"Please? It's embarrassing when you're all manly and aggressive for no reason. The macho man shit isn't cute." I patted his arm.
"I'll work on it." He said lowly, clearly frustrated with the order.
"I appreciate that." I smiled, loving his irritation.
