《》3. 20 Minutes

"Who the fuck am I looking for?" I asked her dad.

"Brunette, brown eyes, fit, I don't know how to describe her." He scoffed.

"Useless." I hung up, drinking my whiskey.

There were many brunettes in here that looked like Victoria's Secret super models. I've got nothing.

"Reid?" A woman asked me and I looked up at her, not what I was expecting. At all.

She wasn't my definition of 'fit' she was just... a woman.

"Yea." I nodded to the booth across from me.

I studied her while she looked around.

She had black, cat shaped like eyes, she was tanner than I imagined, her lips literally pillows on her face. Her face was carved like she could be a reincarnation of Johnny Depp's daughter.

Her neckline was defined, her collarbones softer and not too pointed out.

But then came her body.

It was nothing of a Victoria's Secret model.

She was heavier set but it was... good. An hourglass with everything. Ass, boobs, thighs, but I could make out her muscle definition with the way her triceps flexed as she moved her body against the seat.

I didn't know what to do right now.

I was shocked in a way.

"You look nice." I cleared my throat, gathering her attention once again.

"Thank you. I'm gonna be upfront, I have no idea what to say, I just felt guilty for my dad and that's why I'm here." Her face was smooth, no emotion, but sort of careless.

"Understandable." I didn't know what to ask.

"You all bark?" She smirked.

"Excuse me?"

"You're a snobby person, even over the phone, has it just disappeared?" She tilted her head.

"Snobby? That's rude." I scoffed.

"Am I wrong? You get and have all you want, you probably got a Lamborghini for your sweet 16." She laughed.

"Porsche if I'm being honest." I felt myself grow irritated.

"Ahh." She hummed.

"It's alright, you're nothing special either." I tried to rebuttal.

"No? And what information do you have to back that up?"

"Your dad was wrong, you are a brat." I sneered and she leaned forward.

"And you're a rich bastard trying to make his daddy happy. We both have fucking problems but at least I'm not a judgmental prick who calls all women whores and bitches. I've seen your interviews." She eyed me.

I felt my body tremble with fury.

"So many women would want to be in your position right now." My fists balled.

"Oh yeah? Well I'm not many women so I should be on my way." She grabbed her bag and I bit on my fist, taking a breath.

"Please. Please don't go. I need this, I need this to work." I whispered and she looked at me.

"Buy me a drink then?" She said much more confident than I could muster up.

"What would you like?" I stood, watching as she sat back down.

From what I saw she was tall. Shockingly tall.

"Rum and Coke." She set her black bag in her lap.

"Sure." I loosened my tie as I walked over to the bar.

"What can I get you Mr. Weston?" He smiled.

"Rum and Coke." I nodded.

He finished making it, handing it to me as I walked back to the booth.

"I apologize for my outburst. I'm not used to immediately diving into my flaws." I sat up straight, taking a deep breath.

"I apologize as well. I don't want to have a preconceived misconception of you. I'm secretly hoping you're a lot better than I've heard." She sipped the drink.

"I understand that, but I'm not. I won't lie to you. I am the jackass you see on TV. I'm the one fans write about saying how I'm an ass in real life." I faked a laugh.

Usually I'm fine with that but I was embarrassed right now.

"I'm aware. How would our arrangement work?" She asked.

"Well, I have things we need to further discuss if tonight's a go. But, we would be living in the same house, different rooms, your own closet and bathroom.

I'll supply your clothing, jewelry, and shoes. After the paper signing, we will have an after party for a very specific reason that can't be named right now." I told her and I paused as she got out of her seat and same to my side, sitting right by me.

"What are you doing?"

"I know who you are Reid." She mumbled, I could smell her from here.

Literally like warm vanilla.

"Yeah? And who am I Victoria?" I asked.

"Well if I've done myself right, you've been head of the American mafia for what... you're 26 so 6 years?" She tilted her head and her eyes met mine.

"Where'd you get that?" I whispered.

She smiled.

"I'm a smart girl. But if this works, my father won't know about that." Her eyes burned into mine.

"Okay." I nodded.

"Good." She stood.

"I deemed this beneficial. Hopefully our first 20 minutes could eventually be forgotten." She gave a small smile.

I stood as well.

"Hopefully it won't repeat." I nodded.

5'10 ish. Had to be.

"One of us needs common courtesy." She raised her eyebrows.

"I'll work on that. Dinner next week to plan the wedding? It has to be soon before half of my family goes back to Cuba." I told her.

"How soon is soon?" She asked.

"The following week." I looked away from her for a second.

"Whatever works for you." She nodded.

She began walking and I couldn't help but call her.

"Yeah?" She turned.

"I'm very grateful." I gave a small smile.

She smirked.

"Sure."
