I left my room and made my way to the study to see my dad. He was never home at this time. Wonder what happened.
I walked passed a window and saw seylah's car pulling out.
I keep getting closer to her everyday but I know if she finds out the real reason for my being close to her she would hate me.
I dont really care. Girls like Seylah have never been my type. Manipulative and proud bitches. They were more of a hook up and be done with type to me.
She's probably catching feelings though.

I walked into the study without knocking.

My dad sat behind a desk and I just sat on the sofa.
"You called". I said to him as I sat down.
"Yes son. I have something to discuss with you". His voice was as deep as they come with a husky feeling to it.
His eyes were dark brown almost black. He had a great figure and he's about 6 foot 3 inches and I was 6 foot 2inches.
"What about?" I asked.
"Its been a long time since your mother died". The way this conversation is going seems weird. We never talk about mum. "I know this might seem selfish of me but I'm ready to remarry".
How on earth is that being selfish. My mum died over ten years ago and he hasn't for once mentioned any other woman.

It feels weird that my mum was gonna get replaced. But if that made my dad happy I would be okay with it.
"Its okay dad. You're not being selfish. You spent so much time mourning mum that you didn't get any time for yourself. The time you had you spent it talking care of Me. It's not a crime if you want to be happy". I said to him.
"I truly don't deserve a son as good as you". A tear almost slipped out but he wiped it off before it could.
He must really love this woman to want to marry her.
"I hope you know I'm not trying to replace your mum". He said.
"I know that. And for your sake I'll try to be nice". I said.
"Try?". He said with a laugh
I sighed. "Fine. I'll be nice". I said with a smile.
"Okay hold on". He said then walked out of the room.
He came back 2 minutes later with a woman.
She had curly brunette hair and grey blue eyes. Those eyes seemed so familiar to me. But I couldn't remember where I had seen them.
"Son this is Michelle".

I kept on tossing and turning on my bed. I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about what I needed to do about the whole Damien situation. I needed to talk to someone other than Jenny about it.
Damien wasnt the only one on my mind tonight. The call Aviva was making sounded like she's gotten herself into something fishy.
I'm mad at her but she's still my little sister and I cared about her even if i denied it at times.
Alright I'm gonna talk to her.
I got up from my bed and went to Aviva's room. I could hear whispering through the door so I just walked in without knocking.

The moment I walked in she hid her phone. She was probably talking to the same person from early seeing as she looks so tensed.
"What do you want Seylah. And knock next time jeez" she said fear evident on her face.
The bitch is hiding something.
And I wont sit here and beat around the Bush
"Who were you talking you". I said hitting the nail on the head.
"No one". She replied frantically.
"It didnt seem like it was no one. I said tell me who was on the phone". I said crossing my hands over my chest.
"Its none of your business Seylah" she said sounding a bit more confident now.
"So there is someone". I said with an arched eyebrow.
"You know what Seylah the same way you dont want me acting like your mother please dont act like mine. It's not like your life's so great that you can go around dishing out advice". Okay now she wants the smoke.
"I only wanted to know what's going on. To see if I could help you. But if you dont need my help so be it. And if you ever come to me for help again. I'll remember this conversation". I spat out
"Please do well to remember it and get out of my room". She said.
I shook my hand and walked out of her room deliberately leaving the door open just to annoy her.
Something's definitely up and she's scared. Maybe the person she's talking to is threatening her.
Well I dont care. She doesn't need my help and I wont help her . Even if she crawled on the floor begging.
Annoyed to the core I was on my way downstairs to get a midnight snack.
I never ate late at night because it makes me fat. And I hated unhealthy fat. I was disgusted by it.
Atlas tonight I sort of needed the sweet comfort of unhealthy eating.
On my way to the kitchen I walked passed my dad's room and the door wasnt closed completely.
I peeped through the crack and saw my dad standing and talking to someone.
This house and all its secrets.
Everyone seems to be hiding one thing or the other.
I could tell he was talking to a woman but I couldn't see her face.
I leaned closer to the door to try and make out what they were saying.
I heard my dad's voice again. "I know it's time they learnt about us. But it's not that simple okay. Aviva might accept this but I'm worried Seylah would take this in the wrong way. To her no one could replace Michelle".
