"I'm convinced you're having twins or triplets 'cause why you so big?" Eli squinted his eyes at Tasia's stomach as she glared at him.

"You know nothing about pregnancy so I don't wanna hear shit from you. Go get me more of those meatballs please and thank you." Tasia smiled sarcastically. Eli huffed, walking off the concrete platform and towards the three tables that were set up in the back with food.

Tasia and Duck decided to have their gender reveal outside as opposed to a indoor venue like they'd originally planned at the beginning of the pregnancy. The venue was often used for outdoor weddings so they didn't have to do much other than decorate and adjust the seating to accommodate the nearly 70+ people that were invited.

The large area of land was covered with concrete tiles where round tables and chairs were set up under a large white canopy. About a mile of grass was left untiled towards the back in front of a small waterfall. The entire area was traditionally decorated with pink and blue accents and three tables were lined up towards the back and filled with food- courtesy of Eli, Mari, and Tasia's mommas.

Duck and Tasia had two designated seats up on a concrete platform in the middle of both the dessert table and gift tables. Everyone was told to wear white so Tasia wore a loose fitting, knee-high, satin dress that hugged her waist while Duck wore light washed Balmain jeans with a plain white button down Polo.

Aijah and Mari had insisted on taking over planning the gender reveal and judging by how cohesively they had put together their own studio, Duck nor Tasia didn't mind letting them plan it on their own without hiring professionals.

"You good?" Samiron asked Mari as she walked him to their table. Mari had rode with Aijah earlier than everyone else to help set up and Samiron arrived a little later than the other guests since he had "business" to take care of.

"Yea, i'm good." Mari said, flashing him a fake reassuring smile.

Samiron didn't know how to feel about Mari planning the gender reveal. He knew she was still upset about her infertility and he was worried that having her plan the reveal would be a constant reminder of the pregnancy she couldn't experience. But Mari was stuck on planning it anyway. After all, she was doing this for Tasia and Duck. So regardless of how she felt about not being able to have her own gender reveal one day, she was happy for them and made sure her and Aijah exceeded their expectations.

They walked to the two tables that their group had occupied while All Love by Lil Durk played through the speakers that were set up on the grass. One table was occupied by Rell, Aijah, Destini, Reece, and

Eli. While the second table consisted of Samiron's siblings, Mayah, and Cee. After greeting everyone, Samiron sat with his siblings while Mari went to check on the rest of the food.

"Look at yo ole happy ass." Samiron laughed at Zion who had his arm around Maya's shoulder.

"Shut up pussy-"

"Don't even say it, Zion." Mayah gritted through her teeth knowing Cee was sitting on Kai's lap.

"Poosy?" Cee asked making the twins and Samiron muffle their laughs.

Mayah glared at Zion before getting up and picking Cee up off of Kai's lap."Don't say that, Jaycee. Let's go get you some food."

Mayah shot Zion one more glare before taking Cee's hand and walking to the food table underneath the canopy. Samiron laughed and shook his head.

"Actually, i'm hungry too." Nia stood up. "Me too lowkey." Kai got up as well

"Y'all some weird ass kids. I don't know what's up with y'all getting hungry at the same time and shit but y'all are clearly spending too much time with each other." Zion told the twins. Kai flipped him off before walking to the food table with Nia.

"Fucking weirdos." Zion mumbled to himself.

Samiron leaned back in his chair."You look extra happy today, Zy. She must've moved in with you huh?"

Zion started grinning from ear to ear, giving Samiron his answer. "My niggaaa." Samiron dapped his brother up.

"She moved in yesterday."

"That's wassup." He nodded. "I'm glad y'all are finally back together 'cause thanks to her you're not in a pissy ass mood all the time anymore."

"Shut up nigga. I wasn't in no pissy ass mood, I just missed her lil' ass."

"Whipped." Samiron laughed.

"And you ain't?" Zion retorted, getting flipped off by Samiron.

"But on some real shit, i'm glad I got her back cause like I told you last time, a nigga ain't getting any younger. All that having hoes shit is childish to me and on top of that I have a daughter to think about. I'd rather be with the one girl that I been in love with since high school than introducing Cee to a whole bunch of temporary ass stepmommas."

Samiron swallowed and glanced over at Mari who was cracking jokes with her parents and Lay under the white canopy."How did you know you loved her?" He asked without looking at Zion.

Zion chuckled at his brother who was getting flustered by the mere mention of the word love.

"I don't remember when exactly I started loving her, it just happened. It's small shit I realized I was doing like when I started smiling subconsciously every time she walked into the room, even if she was mad at me. That shit sounds cheesy and soft as fuck but it's the truth." Zion shrugged.

One thing about Zion was that he wasn't afraid to show people he loved Mayah. Some may call him corny or soft, but Zion always knew who his heart belonged to and he made sure everyone else knew as well.

"I can't tell you how I knew. But in a way, you start being obsessed with them. You crave her attention, you feel different when she's around and when she's not around you feel like somethings missing. You start thinking 'bout how your life decisions affect her— shit like that."

Samiron nodded, taking in what Zion was saying. He feared that telling Mari would cause an inevitable downward spiral in their relationship. He told Lyric he loved her and she almost killed him and pinned a baby on him. He told Dru, someone he considered a brother, he loved him and he betrayed him. He told his momma he loved her and she died while he slept next to her. Samiron felt like it was him who couldn't love properly and he didn't wanna drag Mari into that.

Zion watched his brother who looked deep in thought and already knew what he was thinking so hard about. "Stop blaming yourself for decisions god made, my nigga. Everything happens for a reason." Zion said and left it at that.

"Whoever made the meatballs needs their ass ate immediately." Aijah said as she stood next to Mayah and Mari under the canopy and stuffed her face.

"You're a fucking idiot." Mayah and Mari laughed.

"Well! If it isn't ghetto, ghetto-er, and ghetto-est." Aijah raised her voice looking behind Mari causing her to turn around. Her eyes landed on Thirty, Ju, and Ry.

Mari ran up to Ry first."Oh my goddd, Ry!" She damn near jumped into his arms to embrace him in a hug. "Waddam sis." He chuckled.

"Oh so it's just fuck us huh?" Thirty said with his hands on his hips.

"Y'all weren't the ones in jail." She rolled her eyes playfully before giving both him and Ju a hug.

"When you get out?" She turned towards Ry.

"Yesterday."

"Don't get yo hopes up sis. That nigga gon' be back there in no time." Ju spoke matter-of-factly. Ry just shrugged in response because he knew it was probably true.

"Wait my dad told me you weren't getting out 'till Christmas, what happened?"

"Good behavior." He smirked making Ju and Thirty start laughing at the inside joke.

"Good behavior as in bending the guard over the sink in the bathroom during lunch." Ju butted in.

"Just fucking triflin." Mari shook her head.

"Yea yea whatever. I already got some cigarillos with me so where yo boyfriend at? I'm trynna smoke a celebratory blunt." Ry cheesed.

"Fuck you celebrating?"

"Being a free man." He shrugged.

"Good idea. Celebrate it now because we all know your freedom has an expiration date." Thirty said, making Ju and Mari start laughing.

"Man, fuck you. Where yo nigga at, Mari?" Mari pointed at the table where Cee was sitting on Samiron's lap eating. Ry nodded and walked over there.

"Mari you didn't tell me you had a new friend." Thirty licked his lips and looked behind her.

"Who you ta- ohhh." Mari turned around to see Thirty was staring at Mayah. "You might wanna hop off that. She's Zion's girlfriend and babymomma."

Thirty sighed sadly and walked towards Samirons table. Both Mari and Ju laughed. While they caught up, Thirty dapped Samiron and Zion up before sitting down at the table with them.

"Zy, is yo daughter interested in having a stepdaddy?" Thirty asked mid-convo.

Zion stared at him confused until he put two and two together."Pussy." He mugged Thirty and threw a breadstick at him.

"No throw food. Bad dada." Cee reached across the table and slapped her dad's hand. Samiron, Ry, and Thirty bussed out laughing.

"You right. I'm sorry, mama." Zion kissed her cheek before flipping Thirty off.

"You better stay away from that man's girl before he kills yo ass." Samiron shook his head.

"I'm not scared of no nigga." Thirty joked, crossing his arms over his chest. "Shut yo dumb a-s-s up. I'll really kill you. Keep playin'."

"Tuh aight. I'll have yo ass sharing a cell with Ry next month." Thirty retorted causing Ry to jerk his head back and look at him crazy.

"Next month?" He furrowed his eyebrows. "Y'all be preparing for my arrests or something?"

"Nah, we just know yo a-s-s is going back in the next 3 to 4 weeks." Samiron said and the boys nodded.

"You must love it in there or something 'cause I never seen a nigga who don't care about his freedom like you do." Zion stated.

"Man, F all of y'all. I'm not going back. I'ma show y'all." He frowned.

"Tuh, we gon' see. I'll give it two more weeks before they have another warrant out for yo arrest." Samiron pressed his lips together.

Meanwhile Tasia and Duck sat at their designated seats greeting people who came up to them. Truthfully Tasia hated greeting people but she was just doing what her momma had told her to do, which was, "Sit there, look pretty, smile and nod." So that's what she was doing. She was keeping her conversations short and vague because no matter how much she loves her family she can definitely admit that they're messy and don't know how to keep their mouths shut.

"Nice to see you too, auntie. " Tasia fake smiled, pulling away from the hug.

"I'ma let you be for now. Take care of my niece, young man!" Her aunt pointed a finger at Duck who nodded. "I will."

After she walked off the concrete platform Tasia exhaled dramatically. "She can talk up a fucking storm." She rolled her eyes making Duck laugh as he rubbed her stomach.

"Rude ass."

"I'm not. I just can't hold conversations with people for long especially if we we're not friends or nothing. I get tired of hearing their voice so I just zone out half the time."

"Just say you rude and keep it pushing."

"Definitely not rude baby." Tasia held her hand up. "Whatever you say."

"Ole girl try talking to you?" Duck asked, referring to Kali. Nothing had formally happened between Kali and Tasia other than a whole bunch of shots being thrown on Ig from Kali.

Tasia felt like she was moving very weird anyway and she wasn't about to have that type of person around her or her baby. So she cut ties with Kali and distanced herself completely. Tasia rode for Aijah and Mari and she looked at them like her little sisters so ultimately she stood behind them when everything with Kali went down cause she knew Kali was really the one in the wrong.

"Yes, I forgot to tell you! Let me show you what her clown ass texted me." Tasia pulled her phone out and went to iMessage to click on Kali's text from earlier today. She handed the phone to Duck to let him read the thread.

Duck started laughing and passed the phone back. "Aye man you crazy as fuck! Talking 'bout, i'm wishing me a healthy pregnancy too."

"She's so full of shit it's embarrassing. Ever since she started hanging around those girls and that nigga it's like her brain shrunk." Tasia shook her head, clicking out of the messages.

"She didn't have a brain the first damn place. It was always something off about her."

Tasia shrugged. "I don't care for her anymore. She needs to get help."

"Word." He nodded and continued rubbing her stomach. Tasia looked around and her eyes landed on her aunt from her dad's side who was making her way towards her and Duck.

"Get up, get up!" She whisper-yelled at Duck. He stood up confused. "Girl, fuck wrong with you?"

"Help me get up and I'ma tell you." Duck held his arms out and let Tasia use him as support to stand up. She was nearing 7 months but her belly was bigger than normal.
