Aijah and a few other girls had invited me to go to the mall earlier but I didn't feel up to it. Especially after all the partying yesterday night, I just wanted to chill. They're just some outside ass bitches and I like to be in my own presence sometimes.
So I got comfortable on the couch in some Nike Pros and a tank top. I scrolled through multiple websites on my MacBook looking for new lash equipment while listening to Rebellious by Lil Durk on the T.V

"Hey ma." I answered the phone and turned down the volume on the t.v.
"What's up baby, how you been?"
"Good, and you?"
"Im doing good love. How's work?"
Me and my momma had a pretty good relationship considering the amount of bullshit we've been through together. At first she didn't want me to move out after Bri' on died. Especially since I was
depressed as hell. But after seeing how much Duck and Eli looked after me, she was convinced I was gonna be okay and she was happy to see me move on with my life.
We talked on the phone for a few more
minutes before I heard keys jingle in my door.
who the fuc-
"Hold on momma, ima call you back!" I
took my Macbook off my lap.
"Alright baby." She replied and I wasted no time hanging up. As soon as I got up and walked towards the door, Duck, Eli, Rell, and Mir walked in.
"What the fuck." I stared at Duck blankly.
"Waddam li' sis!" He smiled and
snatched me up for a hug before walking
into my kitchen. Should've never gave his
stupid ass a key.
"Damn yo apartment nice Mar" Rell said as
I turned around.
"Thank you." I replied. He smiled and headed into the kitchen with the rest of the boys.
"What the fu- why the fuck are you fat ass
niggas eating my food ?" I cocked my head
to the side while they all stared at me.
"Cause we hungry?" Eli said in an obvious tone as he shuffled food out of my fridge. I rolled my eyes and they continued rummaging through my kitchen.
Duck turned around and started mugging me so I mugged him back. "You could've put some fuckin pants on." He rolled his eyes and I chuckled.
"These are Nike Pros bumass nigga." I shook my head, sitting on one of the white stools at the island.
"Don't change 'em Mar, you look good.." Rell flashed me a smile while he ate chips.
"Don't compliment my sister ugly ass nigga, she'on want you!" Eli shouted from the living room where he, Duck and the quiet boy sat. They continued going back and forth while I made my way into the living room.
"One day Duck, ima throw you off the balcony." I told him while going to sit on the couch.
"Fuck I do?"
"Bringing niggas into my house that I don't know." I scowled my eyes at him. He jerked his head back because i'm guessing it seemed kinda harsh but I honestly don't care. I'm not a fan of people I'm not familiar with just bein' in my house. How do I know you're not stealing?

"Chill Mari, you know them!" I looked at Rell who was smirking and the quiet boy who was still on his phone before looking back at Duck with a straight face.
Bitch know who?
I rolled my eyes and got my phone off the coffee table since it kept ringing.
"Who that is? One of yo niggas?" Rell chuckled.
"Possibly" I mumbled. I answered the FaceTime call and walked into the kitchen to get away from the boys' convo.
"Hey Aijahhh." I dragged as soon as she picked up.
"Bro, this bitch Justice talking reckless!" She yelled into the phone. The boys heard the yelling and turned their heads towards the kitchen.
Nosy fucks.
"What she sayin'?" I tried asking but all I could hear was Aijah and Justice arguing in the background.
I heard Justice's voice getting closer to the phone. "Amari, bring yo ass over hea', im done talking over the internet dumbass lil' girl!"
"Gir-" Aijah cut me off and kept arguing with Justice before I could even say anything. I stood there listening to Justice yell and slap her hands together, obviously doing the most. I could hear a few other voices in the background, but I couldn't make it who they were.
"And that's on Amari's dead ass brother! Nigga in the ground with two holes in his chest!" I heard Justice yell over the phone. Instantly, the grip I had on my phone tightened.
Now she gotta die.
"Aijah send me your location right now." I raised my voice to make sure she could hear me over the yelling. I hung up and slammed my plate into the sink, hearing murmurs from the boys. I walked passed the living room and into my bedroom, quickly putting some joggers on over my Nike Pros.
"Woah woah woah, Amari, what the fuck happened?" Eli furrowed his eyebrows in complete confusion as he stood in my bedroom doorway with Duck, Rell, and Mir behind him.
"What happened is im gonna slap the fuck outta this dumbass bitch." I stormed passed them, ignoring Duck who was trying to stop me. I threw on my hoodie and grabbed me keys from the table in the foyer as they followed me out the front door. We walked into the elevator and I got on my phone typing in Aijah's location.
"Amari, what the fuck happened? Who you goin' to?" Duck stepped up to me and I sighed.
"Justice! That dumb bitch said that my brother is dead with two holes in his chest." I ranted, not looking up from my phone.
I glanced up to see Duck cocking his gun and putting it back in his pants. "She better hope she has a brother, 'cause I don't shoot females regularly." He
shrugged and we walked out the elevator and into the apartment garage.
"You sure you good to drive Mari?" Rell asked as we walked towards my car. I nodded dismissively and got in the driver's seat while Duck sat up front next to me. Eli, Mir, and Rell sat in the back. I didn't bother playing music or even conversing with anyone. All I could focus on was the beating Justice was about to get from me. I drove silently while the boys held occasional convos.
"That was Aijah on the phone ?" Duck finally asked and I nodded. "You think they jumped her or sum?" Eli asked from the back and I raised my eyebrows.

"If Justice doesn't wanna be paralyzed by the end of the day, she better have fuckin' not." I told them bluntly while staring ahead at the road.
"You're kinda scary when your mad Mari. But
that shit is kinda turnin' me on, not gon' cap." Rell muttered, making the boys laugh while I shook
my head.
5 minutes later we pulled up to Aijah's location and from a distance I could see Aijah and Kali yelling at Justice, who's sister was standing on the porch. Destini was standing against a car, cussing her out from across the street.
I parked near the car Destini was standing at and we all got out. "It's boutta be a bitch fight." Mir muttered while we walked across the street.
Once we started getting closer to Justice, I could see Duck reach for his gun out of the corner of my eye. I turned around and stepped in front of him. "Put that shit away! Ole trigger happy ass." I slapped my phone and keys into his free hand to occupy him.
He let out an irritated breath but put his gun back into his pants anyway. As soon as Justice's eyes landed on me, she stopped yelling and rushed over before I could even walk two feet away from Duck.
She drew her hand back and tried to swing but her slow ass missed and ended up hitting the air instead. I swung once and connected with her jaw and we just started going at it. While I had her head pinned, she was reaching for my hair but my hoodie was already on.
"Yea Mari, whoop that hoe!" I heard Aijah, Destini and Eli yell.
Pretty ghetto if you ask me.
I gripped both sides of her head and slammed her down onto the sidewalk. I got on top of her and started sending straight punches to her face. When I swung again, she moved and my knuckle hit the sidewalk. I had to bit my bottom lip to suppress the pain but nevertheless, I kept swinging. When my aching knuckles got too much to handle, I finally let go of Justice.
"Talk about my brother again and you gon' join him slow hoe." I stood over her as she covered her face.
Are you not embarazzed?
Justice's older sister finally came down the porch and nudged Justice away from me. She helped her sister up while she cussed us out but I didn't pay her any mind. I was more focused on trying not to laugh as I watched Justice limp in her sister's hold and cuss me out with a mouth full of blood.
"You good?" Aijah asked while I walked towards them. I just nodded and took my keys and my phone out of Duck's hands. As soon as I reached for my phone Eli noticed my bruised, and slightly bleeding, knuckle.
"Damn! You hit that hoe good." He wiped some of the blood off my knuckle. Rell tilted my face up and noticed a small scratch on my lip that I probably got when I was on top of Justice.
"Damn that hoe tried to scratch you too?" He said and I shrugged.
"Mari broke her nose forsho. Who gives a fuck 'bout some baby ass scratch?" Kali added.
"It doesn't even matter. My bitch still looks fine as fuck!" Aijah smiled making me chuckle.
Destini, Kali and Aijah said bye to everyone before walking back to their car. "Call me when you get home!" She yelled and I nodded.
Me and the boys started walking back to my car and I was about to get into the front seat but Duck closed the door just as I opened it.
"You think ima let you drive with that hand lil' folks? Getcho ass in the back seat." He pointed to the back and I pinched my eyebrows together.
Backseat? Of my own car? It'll be a cold day
in hell
"Back seattttt?" I dragged and he stared at me blankly.
"Yup, back seat Mar Mar!" Eli said through the window as he put his seat belt on in the passenger's seat.
"Hate yall niggas.." I mumbled and walked to the other side of the car.
"Yea yea, love you too or whatever." He waved me off, getting in the driver's seat.
I got in the back and unfortunately Mir was right in the middle. I avoided eye contact with him and tried not to invade too much of his personal space because I don't know him like that and he's too distant for me. Like the nigga didn't even say hi or nothin' when he walked into my house earlier..
I stared out the window, flexing my injured hand in and out while Duck drove. Mir's eyes darted from my face to my hand and it seemed like he wanted to say something but didn't. When his leg brushed against mine, I tried my hardest to stay still. Throughout the whole car ride, I could feel Mir burning a hole in the side of my head
Staring so fucking hard for what?
15 minutes later we got to my complex and we all made our way up to my apartment. As soon as we walked in, Duck went straight to my kitchen. He opened the fridge and popped an ice cube out from the tray. Rell and Mir sat on the stools, leaning on the island.
"You got rubbing alcohol?" Eli asked as he shuffled through my cabinets. I pointed at the drawer next to the sink while Duck held the ice in my hand with a paper towel. Eli finally found the rubbing alcohol and put some on a cotton ball.
"This gon' hurt Mar." Eli warned before
rubbing my bleeding knuckle with the alcohol.
"Fuck." I groaned, shutting my eyes tightly and feeling the rubbing alcohol blot up the cuts and bruises on my knuckle.
"Stop moaning Mari. You a lil' freak and it's not the time." Rell laughed and I mugged him.
"I'm not moaning goofy ass nigga..." I rolled my eyes. Eli finally finished cleaning and I let out a breath while Duck gave me the ice to put back on my knuckle. I couldn't help but smile at the two. They were treating me as if I'd broken my whole hand. But then again, that's how they've been for the past few years— always babying me.
"What about your lip ?" Duck asked.
"It's whatever." I shrugged and took my hoodie off.
"Come here Mari, lemme give you a kiss to make it feel better." Rell poked his bottom lip out, making the boys bussed out laughing.
"Fuck up nigga." I tried not to laugh as I walked into the living room, still holding the ice on my
knuckle.
