《Married By Chance》Chapter 14: Louis Vuitton.

Amelia's outfit above.
"I love this." Jacob grins as he lays down on the cloud sofa.
"Should we buy it then?" I ask.
We're in Luxxu, checking out furniture for Tyler and Jacob's new house. Everyone is busy except me so they asked for my help.
"No." Tyler quickly objects. "It's white."
"So?"
"We're going to be having parties and the last thing I need is to see dirt on my white sofa. It's going to get me pissed." He says.
"I will get it for my bedroom then." Jacob speaks, getting up from the sofa.
"Let's go check on the beds. I want a really big one." Tyler pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Guys, I'm exhausted. Why didn't you just hire an interior designer?"
"Too expensive." Tyler says.
"Are you serious?" I laugh.
"Yeah, we're doing this with our money not our parents'. The woman we got wanted us to pay her three hundred and fifty thousand dollars." He explains.
My eyes widen. "Wow, that's a lot but I'm sure there are people that would charge you for a lower price."
"It's not just about the money, Milly. If we wanted one so badly, we would pay him or her whatever money they want. I'm also down for doing this by myself. It'll be a nice experience."
He replies.
My eyes drift to Jacob who is texting on his phone with a smile on his face.
"Are you texting Chloe?"
He looks at me still keeping the smile on his face. "Yes."
"When are you going to ask her out?" I pry.
I'm honestly tired of the fling that they are having. They both like each other. I don't know what's stopping them from dating.
Jake shakes his head and puts his phone in his pocket. "I'm not."
"Why not?" I frown.
"She doesn't want that." He answers simply.
"Do you?"
"What I want doesn't really matter."
"Yes, it does, Jacob."
He shrugs and looks away from me. Chloe wouldn't talk about what is going on with them. I really don't want any of them to get hurt.
"You can't keep doing this."

Jacob sighs and throws me a look. "It's really none of your business, Amelia. Chloe and I had a talk before we started all this. I'm not going to ruin what we have now."
"But Jacob-"
"I'm done talking about this!" He snaps and walks over to where Tyler is standing. Jacob starts talking frustratedly in a low voice and all Tyler does is nod.
When they finish talking, Jacob comes and brushes past me then follow the escalator down. I guess he's leaving.
I sit on a one armed chair and cross my arms over my chest. Jacob's mum left him when he was a little boy and even though he is one of the strongest people I know, there's still a part of him that holds on to that pain.
For one, he hates goodbyes. When he and Tyler were moving to Germany, he went crazy. He didn't want to leave his friends so he left without saying goodbye.
The day Brian, Ian and Rob were leaving, we all went with them to the airport but Jacob didn't. That is not okay.
Chloe is graduating in less than a year. I know that he is madly in love with her. I don't want him to feel the pain I felt when Liam left.
"Hey." Tyler stands in front of me and I look up at him.
I sigh and get up. "I should probably go back home."
"No." He holds my hand and start playing with my fingers. "Let's spend the day together. I miss you, Amelia."
I bite my lip. Tyler Williams is my guy best friend. I also miss him like crazy. We haven't hung out just the two of us in forever.
"Let's do that." I smile.
****
"Fuck! Not like that!" Tyler groans.
I go down and put my hands up in surrender. "Fine, I give up."
"No, you can do it."
So I'm doing the first thing on my bucket list.
Learn how to drive a motorcycle.
Who better to teach me than one of Bluefall's ultimate bad boys.
I haven't seen Adam in like a week. June said that he's so busy these days. It kind looks of feels weird though, not seeing him.

"Fine, one more time." I sigh and go on his Harley Davidson Cosmic Starship again. It's the nicest and hottest motorbike I've ever seen.
"Now pull the clutch lever.....yes, like that.....move the shifter to the first gear." As Tyler instructs, I do exactly as he says.
"I'm scared." I breathe.
"Don't be. It's like riding a bicycle."
"I don't know how to ride a bicycle!"
He gives me a reassuring look. "I'm going to turn it on right now. Don't press too hard on the accelerator. Go slowly."
"Okay." I slowly release the clutch and he presses the on button.
The motorbike starts moving slowly. "I'm doing it!" I exclaim.
"Yes, you are. Keep going." Tyler encourages as he follows me by foot.
I start going a little faster and then look at him. "Can I take the helmet off?"
"Hell no!" He laughs.
Then I go on a higher speed, leaving him behind. This feels so fucking great. Now, I know why he rarely drives a car.
"Stop!" I hear him shouting as he runs towards me so I press on the brake. I get off the bike and take off my helmet.
"Did you do the video?" I ask him, fixing my hair.
"Yes, I did." He answers while trying to catch his breath. "Fuck! A warning would be nice if you're gonna go that fast."
"Sorry." I grin and take my phone from him. "That was so cool though!" I exclaim and he just shakes his head.
After the motorcycle lesson, we head to a Thai restaurant nearby.
"So the guy you met at the club......." Tyler says once we get our food.
I chew the first bite of my chicken and look at him. "Ethan?"
"Yeah, what does he do?"
I shrug. "I don't know. He and I haven't talked about stuff like that. I know that he used to be a jewellery cutter. He said he's really into jewellery so maybe that's what he does here."
"As long as you're happy."
"It's not like that with Ethan. He's a friend and that's it." I explain.
We text a lot though and I love his energy but I think we're better off as friends.
"He seems to like you." Tyler says.
I don't know what to say so I just give him another shrug.

"Amelia, would you like to go through your mails today?" Talia politely asks me.
I'm glad that she has finally learned to call me by my first name. I look at her as she stands by the door in her white buttoned up shirt that is neatly tucked into her black skirt. That's the uniform of all the maids in this house and the butlers wear black trousers instead.
"Sure." I reply and she comes in and hands me a pile of envelopes. I drop them on the coffee table beside the couch I'm sitting on and take the first one.
It's from Hardwood so I keep it aside, not bothering to read it. The university sends mail through both email and post so I'm pretty sure I've read the email.
The next one is from Sandra, Elenor Middle School. My eyebrows furrow in confusion as I open the letter.
Dear, Mrs Black,
Once again, I would like to congratulate you on your wedding. The school is having an appreciation event in two weeks and we would like you and Mr Black to attend as he has been a great benefactor for the school. We have sent him an invitation almost a month ago and we are yet to receive a reply. I hope we hear from you.
Yours sincerely,
Sandra Lodge.
Oh wow! Okay.
As I take the next one my body instantly freezes. My heart starts racing. I don't know what to think. What the fuck?
Is this a fucking joke?
My hands start shaking as I look down at the envelope. The name written on it.
"Amelia."
"Amelia?"
"Amelia!"
"Huh?!" I blink then look at the door and see Juliet standing with a clothe rack that has Louis Vuitton zipper bags, hanging on them.
"What are you thinking about?" She laughs.
"I got a mail." I say in a low voice.
Her eyes widen and she rushes to me. "Is it bad news? Who is it from?"
I take a deep breath and throw the envelope on the table. "Jamie."
