Today officially means that Oakley has been growing inside me 4 days past her due date. She was supposed to be here days ago, but yet she's still inside me. It was getting even harder for me to do things. I could no longer fold laundry or do the things that had been my everyday job until 9 months ago. I was laying in bed with Keegan when he wrapped his arms around my bump. "Good morning, Oakley." He said, rubbing my stomach. Keegan doing this caused her to kick. "Ouch. I think she's gonna play soccer one day because she can kick." "That means she's gonna be active, right?" "I guess." I removed Keegan's arms from around my stomach and got out of bed. "Moody much?" "Keegan, what do you expect? I have a human being growing inside me who was supposed to be out of my body 4 days ago. Yes, I'm gonna be moody. Deal with it." "Man I can't wait till this baby's born. I can have my fiancé back." "You? Think about me." You're probably thinking "fiancé"? Yes, fiancé. Keegan proposed to me 2 weeks ago. Obviously I said yes. I decided to go make breakfast so I hobbled out of the bedroom, slamming the door on my way out. I walked into the kitchen, my phone lighting up meaning I got a text. It was Shay.

After I texted Shay, I felt something wet drip down my leg. Oh shoot. My water broke. I hollered upstairs for Keegan. "Keegan! My water broke!" Keegan cane running down the stairs. "Ok, just stay there! I'll get the bag! Car seat is already in the car, keys in my hand, diaper bag already in the car! Oh right, your bag!" "Keegan hurry up!" I was having sharp pains in my lower abdomen, the same pain I had with my first miscarriage. It must be contractions. I hadn't ever got this far in my pregnancies, the farthest being 7 months, so I didn't know what contractions felt like. Keegan rushed back in and helped me out to the car. "You're gonna be ok T." "Just shut up Keegan! You're the reason I'm like this! Because you couldn't keep it to yourself!" "Might be a good idea if I didn't say anything, just drove?" "That's a very good-" I was cut off by a very sharp contraction. "Drive faster!" I shouted to Keegan. Finally after what seemed like forever, we made it to the hospital. Keegan ran in while I sat in the car and he came running back out with a nurse and wheelchair. "Get this baby out of me!" I knew this was gonna be the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and the hardest thing Keegan was ever gonna watch. They always say the third times a charm, right? God, I hope so.

Disclaimer This story is: 1) Extremely violent and graphic. 2) Still in a rough draft stage. I see what I am writing more like a synopsis than a fully fledged story. I periodically will go back to flesh out earlier chapters, build characters, etc... If you find the words "Show don't tell," comforting accept that unfortunately, I'm not at that stage of the writing process yet. 3) At one point this story was called "Standard Reincarnation Story," and I had written an extremely off-putting description of the story. This was mostly to keep out people who would just read the silly first few chapters then rage quit as soon as the violent stuff got started. Since I just had my first .5 star rating (without a page read count increase) that technique is not working, so I might as well treat this as a regular fiction and try to get regular readers.

The System that governs the world of "Soul of the Warrior" is a combination of modified versions from Selkie's "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons" and Kosnik4's "Magic Smithing." I have changed enough of these Systems and combined them in a way that is unique that I'm mostly sure it's fine, but I still have requested permission to use these ideas.
