Today was the day that me and Keegan went to find out the gender. Shay had found out the gender of her baby yesterday, and it's a boy. I was hoping that this baby was a girl. If I had a girl and Shay had a boy, Keegan would get what he wanted. We had already worked out a schedule, that Alex, Shay's baby, would come over to our house every other weekend so that he could see Keegan. When Alex didn't come over, Keegan would take our baby over to Shay's so that Alex could play with his sister or brother without having to come over to our house. My appointment was at 9:30 and it was just now 9:00. Keegan was still asleep so I figured I would wake him up. "Babe, wake up." I whispered in Keegan's ear. "Can I have a kiss first?" "Nope. You'll have to wait for that." I got out of bed and went into the bathroom to take a shower. After I got out, I walked into the bedroom to find some clothes. I had my towel wrapped around me and while I was digging in my closet trying to find clothes that would actually fit me, I heard Keegan walking in. "Why the towel?" "Because I'm trying to find clothes." "What about no towel?" "What about leaving me alone so I can get dressed?" "Well, when you look like that, it's kinda hard to just walk away." Keegan said walking up to me wrapping his arms around my waist. "Keegan as much as I want to, we can't." "Not even a kiss?" "Maybe just a peck." "Works for me."
"Troian." When they called my name, me and Keegan walked back into the room. In the room, the nurse asked me so many questions, but I couldn't answer them because the only thing on my mind was seeing my baby, and making sure it still had a heart beat. "I'm aware this isn't your first pregnancy, correct?" "Yes, correct." "Well, let's find out the gender of your baby." When she put the gel on my stomach and rolled the thing around, she had a look on her face, the look that I knew to well. "Is everything ok?" I asked with Keegan squeezing my hand. "Well, I can't seem to find a heartbeat. Let me go get another nurse." When she walked out of the room, I started crying, tears just rolling down my cheeks. "Keegan, why does this always happen to us?" "T, it'll be ok, I promise." When she walked back in with another nurse, I wiped the tears from my cheeks. She continued rubbing the things round on my stomach and what she said next, I wasn't expecting. "Oh well, looks like my machine just wasn't working. Congratulations, it's a girl." When I was told this news, I was crying tears of joy. "Oh my gosh. Is this real? This is a true miracle Keegan." "I love you so much Troian. And this proves just how much." When we got the copies of the ultrasound, we headed home. "Keegan, I love you. More than you love me." "That's impossible. Because I love you more than anything."
