Jinyoung stood in front of you awkwardly as you sat by the dressing table. His hair was slicked back but he was wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans. You looked up at him and he was staring at the ground.
"I understand if you don't want to marry me anymore." You muttered, catching his attention. He snaps his head up and shakes it immediately.
"N-no I do but... Do you?" He eyes you warily.
"I-I'm not sure." You bite your lip and pick on your fingers. "I would've been fine with it if we had more time to get to know each other but..."
Your eyes go towards the letter on the dressing table. Jinyoung follows your gaze and he frowns.
"You love Jungkook."
"I do... I'm sorry, I thought that if I married you I would be able to forget him and move on." You felt tears pricking your eyes. "I truly was really really slowly but I heard everything your mother told you last night. If I married you I would feel used, my family would suffer loss. I don't want that to happen, I don't want to feel that way."
"I understand." Jinyoung nods his head. "If only I found this out earlier then I would've found a way to break the contract."
"What even happens if we break the contract?" You were curious, you never really read it over before signing now you face consequences.
"The family who breaks the contract needs to pay 20 million."
"20?! Your parents really are crazy. It's a marriage contract."
"If it was broken they would suffer a greater loss since us being married means that they can get help from your parents any time and they'll take more than just 20 million like the devils they are."
"I never knew that you could talk about your parents like that." You grinned and he laughs.
"Well after seeing what they've done I don't exactly want to call them my parents." Jinyoung scratches the back of his neck and thinks for a moment. "How about I break the engagement with you?"

"Then your family will suffer loss." You say it in a 'duh' tone.
"They're the ones who started it, they should pay for it."
"But I don't want that. If anything they'll probably prey on another family to earn what they lost again." You shrugged and stared at your new bracelet. "The best case scenario is I manage to convince my parents to give up the 20 million. I'm sure they'll do it, better than losing more."
Jinyoung sighs. "I'll look over the contract one more time, if there's nothing we can do then we'll do your plan but I'll look over the contract trust me if anything goes suspicious."
"Jinyoung... Why are you doing this? No offense but I thought you would act like nothing happened, not try to help me."
"I like you, I haven't tried to deny it since I first knew about it. However I didn't want you to get caught up in my parents' plan to save their company." He smiles at you making you feel bad. "Plus I can see that Jungkook loves you, he's my brother, I want him to be happy too so if you have a chance to be happy, I'll give up the marriage."
"You're really mature." You couldn't help but say causing him to laugh. "Thank you. You're a really caring brother, you always notice the little things Jungkook does."
"You too." He teases making you roll your eyes. "Wait..." Jinyoung mutters, looking as if realization hits him. "If you-"
"Jinyoung? What are you doing here? You're not allowed to see Y/N until the wedding!" Mrs. Jeon walks into the dressing room with the rest of the bridal party. You and Jinyoung share a look.
"Sorry mom... I just got too excited."
"Well go back to your dressing room, your father is looking for you." Jinyoung gives you one last look and a nod before he leaves the room.
Mrs. Jeon turns to you and smiles excitedly grasping onto your hands which were on your lap. "I can't wait to have you as my daughter in law. You're perfect for my Jinyoung."

For Jinyoung or your company?
You look at your mom pleadingly and she steps forward. "Taeyeon I think you should give her some space, she's really nervous right now."
"Right." Mrs. Jeon nods and steps away from you and you let out a breath.
"Mom can I speak with you?" You looked at the bridal party. "Outside?"
"Sure sweetie." Your mother takes your hand and you head back to the pond. "What's wrong?"
"If I don't want to get married are you willing to give up 20 million dollars?" You bluntly say, there was no other way to say this more gently.
"What are you talking about?"
"The marriage contract, the family who breaks the deal has to pay 20 million."
"Where did you hear this from?"
"Jinyoung. If we get married then we'll be forced to aid the Jeon's."
"The deal was for them to help us."
"No mom, the contract forces the party to help the other when in need. The Jeon's are kind of in a situation right now."
"They'll take more than 20." Your mother mutters and brings her hands to her face. "Our lawyers didn't see anything wrong with the contract, they must've not looked closely enough."
"Are you willing to do it?" You stared at your feet.
"Of course, if we don't end it soon then we'll be worse off." Your mother walks up to you and pulls you into a hug. "I know it seemed like we only wanted you to be married for money but we wanted you to live a good life, a secured one where you're happy. We thought that maybe that Jeon boy would love you back."
"You knew from the beginning?" Your jaws dropped. Just how many people knew.
"Well you're certainly not doing a good job at hiding it." She smiles and sips on her glass of wine that she brought out. "Cancel the engagement, you know your father and I will do anything even if we have to give up the company. 20 million is nothing to us anymore."
"Right... When were you going to tell me how rich we were suddenly?" You crossed your arms suddenly feeling betrayed.
"Well if you knew you would've used all that money on buying more books. We already had a whole library in the house just for you."
"I would not! Ok maybe."
"Get back inside, you're going to that altar and reject him in front for everyone to see."
"Now that seems kind of rude. Jinyoung doesn't deserve being left at the altar."
"Only way people will know you broke the engagement" She shrugs and you hug your mom.
"I love you."
You head back inside and your mother leaves the room probably looking for your father. You put on your dress while the staff does touches on your dress and makeup. You feel your heart beating fast knowing that the wedding was getting closer and closer.
When it was time, you stood in front of the venue doors. You took a deep breath in and braced yourself for what was to happen next. The music starts inside and the doors slowly open, you walk down the aisle looking down at your feet, people are whispering but not something you would expect.
"Where is the groom?"
You looked and stared at the altar now just a few feet away. Jinyoung was missing, where could he have been? You look over to your parents who shrugged, then at the Jeon's who were in total distress.
How could they start the wedding with the groom?
You felt your ears heat up embarrassed as you continued walking to the end. You turn to your parents, your mother and Mrs. Jeon rushed towards you.
"Y/N where is Jinyoung?" Mrs. Jeon grips your shoulders a little bit too hard making you wince.
"Your son must be having second thoughts." Your father narrows his eyes at Mrs. Jeon. "It breaks our contract, you know the consequences."
The Jeon's tell everyone to stay seated while they look for your fiance. You waited a long time before the doors suddenly burst open, Jungkook walked down the aisle confidently wearing a suit. "Sorry for making you wait, the tailor gave me the wrong suit but the groom's here."

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Dear Spellbook (Rewrite)
Live. Study. Repeat. Tal never saw himself as an adventurer, but the call to adventure never much cared for his opinion. Despite his best efforts, his search for answers on the murder of his parents ever draws him into danger. Accompanied by a group of seasoned warriors, thus far Tal has gotten by on his own meager magical talents, but when one day he wakes up to find himself back in his bed of the night before, he is faced with a challenge he must conquer alone. What to expect: This story was born of an attempt to create in world lore reasons for many of the mechanics and tropes of D&D, but you do not need to know of them to enjoy the story. It's a single POV time loop story with slow paced progression fantasy elements. The story is not one of fast-paced power ups and non-stop action, but as it progresses, the action picks up. There is a lot of magic system exploration on a system built to unify the diverse magic of D&D into one cohesive magic system. The setting is an original world with familiar races and monsters but with new unique origins and motivations. The average chapter will be 2-5k words long, most being around 3k but there are a few less than 1k, due to the nature of the story telling device I used. Book 1 is complete. Posting is on hold until I finish book 2. Book 2 progress: The rough draft is done at 141656 words as of 7/9/2022. I need to reread and edit it but Im aiming for resuming chapters in September.

Currant Choir
Having passed out while performing a ritual due to excessive exsanguination, Leon, the youthful son of the esteemed Lumenhart family finds himself back in the world of the living:Laying in a pool of his own blood.Self-inflicted wounds mysteriously gone. And with his head full of memories that aren't exactly his... or are they? "Oh boy." Warning! - There is likely not enough tags I can put up for this novel so please take this frontal warning instead. I can promise you a great deal of horror, gore, chaos and pure edge, but also everything on the opposite site of the spectrum from side characters. To be blunt, the MC is not a good person, so unless you're interested in such a thing, I'd strongly advise you to not read Currant Choir.
