《Engaged to the Bad Boy's Brother✔》SIXTEEN

The wedding happens in less than 24 hours and you are totally having a mental breakdown. Nothing you did could calm you from the jitters.
It was almost midnight and you couldn't sleep although Mrs. Jeon told you to sleep early. You left your room and wanted to get some water. You walked downstairs and you saw the kitchen light on, you heard Jinyoung and his mother talking.
"Mom I don't think we should have the wedding tomorrow." Jinyoung says making your heart hurt a little. "Y/N is freaking out too much and I'm worried about her, you're pushing it."
"You both agreed on getting married." Mrs. Jeon argues.
"Yea because you guilted us into saying yes."
You knew you shouldn't be listening but you couldn't help it.
"I visited granny today, you know what the doctor's told me when I asked about her condition? She has at least 3 years." Your eyes grew wide and Jinyoung continued. "Why are you trying to rush this marriage?"
"Because..." Mrs. Jeon stutters. "Our latest investment isn't even close to reaching the profits that we wanted and we put everything we had on it. When you marry Y/N we get financial support from her family which can make up what we lost."
That was the first you've heard of it. The Jeon's have always given the impression that they were a perfect happy family with lots of wealth.
They were supposed to be better than yours.
"They've grown tremendously and gained lots of attention these past few years, if you marry Y/N then the attention will turn to us but if they find out our situation they'll call off the wedding."
"You planned this whole thing."
"Of course, if not for our situation you think we'll offer a marriage to them?" Mrs. Jeon scoffs. "They were so foolish to accept it so easily and I guess we have Jungkook to thank for that."
"What do you mean?"
"Do you not know your own fiance? She's in love with Jungkook. However you and her look more of a perfect couple, people would be more interested in you two, I can tell she also likes you."
"You aren't scared if I reject her after this?"
"You won't because I know you love her and won't put the company in more danger."

Suddenly you didn't feel so thirsty anymore. You finally knew why the Jeon's have acted so nice to you when they used to barely notice you.
They were sick, they took advantage of your love for Jungkook for their own benefits. Jungkook was right, they use and sacrifice other people's happiness for their own good.
You clenched your fist and headed upstairs.
When you got upstairs you walked past your room and knocked on Jungkook's door. It took a while before he opened it, he looked tired.
"What."
Your eyes brimmed with tears and he started looking concerned. "I'm sorry about earlier but I need someone to talk to."
He hesitantly nods his head and lets you into his room closing the door behind you. You sit on his bed and he stands in front of you with his arms crossed.
"I feel so used and disgusted right now." You sniffed. "I overheard Mrs. Jeon talking. She knew I liked you, she had the audacity to propose a marriage implying that I may marry you so I'll sign the stupid contract!"
Jungkook doesn't say a word and just nods his head telling you he's listening.
"They're in need of financial aid and since my family has been earning more money than them they come to us because they think we're pushovers."
"I know that Jinyoung wasn't in on it but I feel so mad at myself for starting to fall in love with him because it was exactly what they wanted." You start pulling on your hair but Jungkook immediately holds your hands down to stop you.
"What do you expect from a 'perfect family'? They're always the worst of them all, they're willing to sacrifice their own family." Jungkook mutters and you let out a sob
"I don't want to marry anymore but I signed that stupid contract." Jungkook stiffly puts his hand on the back of your head, bringing your face closer to him, you bury your face in his stomach.
"Uh... Don't cry?" He says it like a question and you wrap your arms around his waist.
"And n-now Jinyoung knows that I like you, what if he doesn't look at me the same and then I'll have an unhappy marriage."
Jungkook stays silent for a long time before speaking, his voice seems higher than it normally is. "I'm sure he'll still love you. I'm sure there's a way out of this."

The next morning you had barely slept a wink. You had dark circles under your eyes and Mrs. Jeon scolded you for it but she was the reason you couldn't sleep.
It was currently 11am, the wedding started in 8 hours. You had your nails painted, your hair done and makeup. All you needed to do was to put on the dress and wait until the wedding started.
Everyone had a short lunch break. You went outside for a moment to get from fresh air. You pulled your cardigan closer to your body and stared at the small pond.
You stood there clearing your mind, trying to make your decision on whether or not to say 'I do'. If you didn't then it may cause more damage than if you did.
You headed back inside and found your dressing room empty. You sat in front of the mirror and noticed a small box and envelope that wasn't there before.
You take the envelope with your name on it. You opened it and took out the letter. It read:
"Apparently you think a letter and writing notes is the best way to be 'apologetic' and 'romantic' so I spent all night writing you one.
The name stalker was meant as a joke, it never meant to stay. You acted like one and I thought that if I was rude enough you'll leave me alone. As we can both see it didn't work, I didn't expect you to last 3 years though. Over time you caught my attention, I started learning small things about you like you did with me.
Yugyeom and them were right. You aren't that bad. You tried to comfort me and always got me my favourite drink. I am dick but to be fair you kissed me and tried to force me into an engagement. Don't think I'm over that.
I never understood why you liked me until that day you came home drunk. Everyone likes to fear me, so I thought you were kidding when you told me that you thought I was nice. ESPECIALLY after all I've done to you in the past to humiliate you.
You also asked me why I didn't like you so I told you 'I thought you were one of those girls who loved using daddy's money but I don't hate you.' I don't think I have for a long time.
Only recently did I kind of see how I was wrong. You're different from all the others. You're dumb and obviously crazy but it's refreshing compared to other girls.
This whole mess of you getting married is your fault, if you've just given up then this wouldn't have happened. But I'm glad you didn't because I have realized one thing. That I like you too. As Darcy said 'I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew what I had begun.' Sorry for getting mad when you wanted to be friends and leaving last night, I was only jealous of... Jinyoung.
Also a token of apology and a late gift from the guys and me.
I'll get you out of this so don't make a choice you'll regret.
-Jungkook"
Your hands were shaking by the time you finished the letter. You glanced at the box and opened it. It was a sterling silver name bracelet with your name. On the chain hung 3 charms. A Strawberry, book, and a flower.
You held it in front of your face admiring the bracelet when the door suddenly opened.
You glance at the door and your mother comes in. "How are you feeling?"
"Not good. I don't wanna do this mama." You shook your head and put the bracelet down. Your mother took notice of it and took it after getting your permission. She examines it and smiles.
"If I'm not mistaken this is a gardenia. It can mean purity, joy, protection, and secret love." You forgot your mother loved flowers.
Your heart skipped a beat, you were happy Jungkook tried to express his love before coming up with the letter.
"This is from that other Jeon boy right?" She sadly smiles at you. "Do you love him?"
"Yes it is and I do." You frown. "But I think I also like Jinyoung."
"Only marry him if you know, not think. I just want you to be happy"
"Mom, the Jeon's-" Your attention turns to the door when someone pokes their head in.
"Can I talk to Y/N... Alone?" Jinyoung coughs.
