"Is there something on your mind? You seem absent minded." Jinyoung says with a concerned look on his face. A look that you wished Jungkook could give you.
You smiled and shook your head. "I'm fine. Just thinking about school."
"Oh, is it stressful?"
"Very." You chuckle and take a bite out of your pasta. "What about work? You have a new project don't you?"
"Not as bad as being overseas, I can handle it."
Near the end of your lunch, Jinyoung pulls out a box and places it in front of you on the table. You stare at it shocked, your eyes flicker between Jinyoung and the box.
"It's not an engagement ring." Jinyoung chuckles. "Just open it."
You take the small box in your hands and you do as you were told. You were surprised when you saw a resin orb necklace, inside the small orb was a small white flower.
"It's so pretty." You gasped. "Where did you get this?"
"There was a stall selling jewelry on the street. I thought you might like it." Jinyoung smiles at you. "Do you want me to help you put it on?"
"Sure." You lift your hair and Jinyoung gets up from his seat going behind you to put the necklace on.
Once it was on, you admired it and played with the orb in your hand.
"What's the flower?"
"I'm not exactly sure myself but the lady said that it was a Queen Anne's Lace." Jinyoung explained. "When I searched it up, it meant sanctuary. I thought it would be nice since whenever you're in trouble you can count on me."
"That's so thoughtful." You smile. "I feel bad that I don't have anything to give you."
"Well it was a surprise, you didn't know." Jinyoung says to try and to make you feel better.
"Ok! Then lunch will be on me" You made up your mind making Jinyoung flustered. "Don't you dare try to talk me out of it."

"The necklace didn't even cost a fraction of what lunch costs."
"Nope." You shook your head. "Plus it isn't even that expensive. It's not like it's a 5 star restaurant or anything."
Jinyoung sighs letting you win the battle. You swipe your card at the front and he drives you back to the campus.
"Have you thought about what dress you're going to wear at the wedding?"
"Oh.. Not yet." You weren't expecting him to bring up the wedding. "None looks appealing."
"Then on the weekend you should go with my mom to look for dresses."
"No offense to your mom but she's very controlling about the wedding." You admit, you expected Jinyoung to defend his mother but he doesn't.
"I'm 26, she's just scared I won't find and get married before 30."
"You have 4 years, you have lots of time to find the 'perfect one'"
"I think I already have." He blushes and you feel your cheeks burn up. You sat there awkwardly in the car not knowing what else to say. Luckily for you, it didn't take long for you to get back to school. Once he told you you were there, you rushed out of the car after thanking him.
You bring your hands up to your cheeks, even with the cool breeze they felt as if they were on fire.
Your heart was pounding.
"Jungkook look out!" Mingyu shouts then I feel a hard smack on the back of my head. I stumbled forward and looked back, the basketball hit my head.
"Are you ok?" Eunwoo asked, picking up the ball.
"Yea. Just out of it." I sighed and looked at the benches not too far from the court. They were empty.
"If you're gonna keep this up then switch with me! We're losing!" Jaehyun whines and I switch places with him and take a seat against the fence.
"You've been like this for the past few days, what's up?" Mingyu takes a seat next to me.

"Nothing. It's just family issues."
"Ah you mean Y/N's marriage?"
"You know?" I tensed. If Mingyu knew then the news has spreaded.
"Chill it's only me. Y/N told me." I was pissed at the fact that she told Mingyu about it. I wanted the least number of people to know. "How do you feel about it?"
"Pissed. I can't believe she's marrying him. I mean she used to be my stalker, if she gets married to him then that means I'll have to see her every day outside of school."
I reached into my bag looking for something but it was empty. I furrowed my eyebrows when I realized what I was looking for.
"Well it doesn't look like you have a problem with it." He points out and hands me something.
Banana milk.
I stared at it and gave him a look. "I'm only trying to be nice. You get so mad whenever you don't have one." He shrugs and I poke the straw into the drink.
"Also just for your information I do have a problem with this marriage. I don't want my brother to marry my stalker"
"Your brother huh? That's the first time you've ever called him that." Mingyu wiggles his eyebrows.
I toss the empty carton at him and he mutters something about littering. I watched the game in a daze, my mind wandering to somewhere else.
I pulled on my lip ring, my lips felt colder than usual. It has been the whole week. Maybe they were always this cold, I've just never realized until she kissed me.
Why do I keep thinking this way? She took advantage of me at my lowest, she's crazy.
"Don't you think that there's another reason why you hate this marriage?" Mingyu smirks. "Jealousy maybe?"
"Why would I be jealous of him? I should be thanking him for taking that annoying girl out of my life." I scoff and take a sip of water.
"Then you should keep your distance and stop thinking about her. Maybe over time she'll fall in love with Jinyoung and be off your back."
"I am not thinking about her." I argued.
"Whatever you say." He sighs and gets back up. "DK switch with me!"
I looked back at the benches and Y/N was sitting there with her usual smile watching us play but when I blinked she was gone. A group of girls were now sitting there. They were watching the game. When they notice me staring they start giggling and whispering to each other. One of them winks and I roll my eyes.
I don't think about her. Do I?
I lazily flipped through the channels at home, and heard the door creak open. I didn't bother to look up until I heard laughter coming through the door.
Jinyoung and Y/N were coming back from who knows where. Y/N was laughing and barely noticed me on the couch when she walked into the kitchen with Jinyoung.
"She was clearly hitting on you." Y/N giggles and places her bag on the counter.
"Why should I pay attention to her when my fiance's standing right next to me?"
"Fiance. I still can't get used to that word." She shivers and grabs strawberry milk from the fridge.
I walk into the kitchen pretending not to notice them. Y/N steps aside when I open the fridge and I take out a beer. Jinyoung gives me a disapproving look but when did I ever give a shit?
"Jungkook, did you finish your paper?" Jinyoung asks me.
I cock an eyebrow up until I realize he was talking about Pride and Prejudice.
"I can finish it in a day." I shrugged.
"How about you and Y/N share your thoughts about the book? It'll help both of you complete your paper and maybe it'll bring you two closer." He suggests while Y/N looks hesitant.
I smirked "Sure. I'll help my dear sister-in-law"
