《Engaged to the Bad Boy's Brother✔》ONE

"I knew you would always make us proud."
You smiled at your parents but it doesn't reach your eyes. Your eyes shift to the contract sitting on the table. Written in the big bold letters, Marriage Agreement, you had sold away your life.
For what exactly? For your parents? For their company? Or was it the fact you couldn't have him, and with this finally, he could be yours.
Selfish, you know, but you would do anything for his attention.
"It is a pleasure to meet the future Mrs. Jeon." The Jeon's family lawyer, Mr. Min smiles at you. He hands you a copy of the contract and takes his leave.
You turn to your parents. "Are you satisfied now?"
"Oh Y/N don't say it that way, marrying into the Jeon's is the best thing that could happen to you!" Your mother places her perfectly manicured hands on your shoulders. "You get to live in a life of luxury."
"It's not the luxury I'm looking for." You brush her hands off you. "I'll finish packing my things."
You walk towards your room, opening the doors of the room you've spent 21 years of your life in. Most of your belongings were already placed in boxes, what's left are only a few of your clothes, a few books, and cosmetics.
It took you a while to finally realize that you were leaving. That you were getting married. That you were going to spend the rest of your life with someone. You bring your hands to your chest taking in a deep breath and finish packing.
You take your books and place them neatly into your suitcase next to the other clothes you've packed.
You've set aside the clothes you were going to wear tomorrow and your school bag but otherwise everything else was ready.
You changed into your pajamas and slid into your bed. That night you had dreamt about him.

"Jungkook. I like you."
You watch as he turns around to face you. His countless tattoo's visible underneath his plain white shirt.
He plays with his lip ring as he eyes you up and down, your face flushing as he does. Then he looks at you in the eyes making your heart race faster.
"I don't date girls who like to use daddy's money." Jungkook snorts and walks away with his friends. His friends laughed at you calling you names, everyone in the halls laughed with them.
You sat outside near the basketball court so you had a clear view of the game that was going on.
Your eyes tried to search for the only person you wanted to see but Jungkook wasn't there, only his friends.
You wondered if it was because he was sick or if it was because he didn't agree with the marriage. You rested your chin on your hand and watched the game anyways since you were already there. This had become your favorite pastime, a regular routine whether Jungkook was there or not.
One of Jungkook's friends noticed you sitting there and he switches out with another player jogging towards you.
"You do know that Jungkook isn't here today right?" He says and wipes his sweat.
"I'm not blind Mingyu." You smile at him. Out of all of Jungkook's friends, Mingyu was the nicest to you.
"But do you know why he isn't here?" You asked and he shakes his head sitting next to you.
"He hasn't been hanging out with us these past few days." He says watching the basketball game.
"Oh." You frowned.
"I thought that you were his 'stalker' why don't you know where he is." Mingyu jokes and you elbow him.
Most of Jungkook's friends call you a stalker, after showing up to most of his games and hang outs. You stopped caring after the first few weeks since you knew that they weren't wrong.

"I don't know where he is 24/7, at least I have respect for his privacy.
"Sure you do." Mingyu rolls his eyes at you then looks like he remembered something. "Oh shit, I think he did mention something about his family."
"Did he seem angry? Happy?" You raised an eyebrow and he looks at you weirdly.
"Why would you be so interested? Do you know something?"
You shook your head with a smile. You stood up grabbing your bag and slinging it over your shoulders. "I'm going to buy lunch, good luck on your game."
You couldn't help but wonder what Jungkook's reaction would be when he found out about the marriage. You passed by your university's lounge on the way to the cafeteria when you stopped in front of one of the tvs.
You watched as reporters followed a certain man from the airport and you immediately recognized him. It was Jeon Jinyoung. Jungkook's older brother.
A wave of fright passes through you when you think of all the possibilities for his return. Why could he possibly back now.
That night you curled your hair, wearing a short red v line dress with black heels. You grabbed your clutch bag off your bed and walked down the steps. Your parents were already waiting by the front door.
"You look so beautiful Y/N." Your mother smiles and your father holds the door open for the two of you to leave first.
When you arrive at the restaurant, you put your phone in your purse and the waiter leads you to your table. You saw Mr. and Mrs. Jeon sitting at the table with two empty seats next to them.
"Mr and Mrs. Kim, it's a pleasure you could come." Mr. Jeon smiles and shakes your father's hand. "And this must be your daughter Y/N. She's as beautiful as they say."
You blushed at his comment and the couple gestures at you to sit.
"Our sons are running a bit late. They'll be here any moment."
Your parents started to have small talk, talking about their companies conditions and possible collaborations.
When you take a sip of water, the waiter returns with two people following him. You looked up and you saw Jungkook and his brother.
"Sorry we are late. We had to run back to the tailor after they gave me the wrong suit." Jinyoung smiles at the parents, then his attention turns to you and he gives you a polite smile.
You gave him a small smile back and your eyes travelled to Jungkook. Unlike his brother who was wearing the assumed suit that made them late, he was wearing black jeans, black t-shirt and leather jacket. His new tattoo of flowers and thorns seen on his neck.
They looked like complete opposites. You wouldn't even be able to tell that they were related if it weren't for the same eyes and lips. But they were half brothers.
"Take a seat. We were just about to discuss the marriage contract." Mr. Jeon tells his sons. Jinyoung takes the seat across from you and Jungkook sits next to him. Jungkook stares makes you pick at the hem of your dress.
"Now Jeon Empire has always been working closely with Ethereal Corporations for many years." Mr. Jeon begins. "We believe that a marriage can strengthen the bond between the two companies. That is why you're here today."
"Just get this over with, who is it." Jungkook says.
"We originally planned for it to be Jungkook due to the two being the same age however we think Jinyoung would be a better match." Mrs. Jeon smiles. "He's done phenomenal work with our overseas companies and the fact that he's at the age of already being married, we thought to choose him."
Your stomach dropped, this was not what you planned.

I lived in India from 1984-2005, and wrote to my parents regularly about my adventures in Indian ashrams. From 1984-1993 and again 2001-2005, I was living in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and I am adding all of those my "Letters from India" book, which will mainly be of interest to those familiar with Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. However, from 1994-2001 I was staying at a wonderfully spiritual, quiet retreat called Shanti Ashram, and I am putting the letters I wrote to my parents while staying there, on this book. The ashram was a dream come true for sadhana. The people are welcoming, it is usually never crowded, and they offer separate cottages to aspirants. The rates are donation basis only.
