My breath hitches as I feel him coming in closer. My brain suddenly begins running again as if it was shut off for a moment. Before I know it I move away. It doesn't feel like the right thing to do and I can't find a reason for why. Minho takes his hand off and moves back expressionlessly as I begin to explain myself.

"It's not you" I say confused at my own reaction

He smiles "That's what they all say"

"It really isn't" I say trying to justify myself

He has his head down and I know he is upset because even after everything he has done for me I haven't opened myself to him completely. I think hard on what I can say to let him know how strongly I feel about him. I think hard and long as he raises his eyes to look at me and I think about what is really holding me back from accepting everything he is giving me. I feel a lightbulb light up above my head as I realize my feeling. Surprised by the depth I accidentally let out a loud "OH" of realization. I feel Minho shaking with laughter next to me and I join in with him.

"I need sometime to work harder on my fear" I tell him truthfully.

I know that I cannot expect him to help me every time I need help.

"I want to be there for you Minho" I say "You've really helped me. You've taught me how to fight through my fears but I now need time to work on this myself. Before I come to you I want to be someone who can help you when you're having a hard time as well."

He looks at me lovingly and then says "It's worse because I understand"

He moves back a bit reaching out his hand and pats me on the head gently. I lean into his touch as he smiles and this time confidently slides his hand over my head and ruffles my hair softly. I smile and he smiles a gummy smile back.

"You'll be back then?" he asks gently

"Yes" I say "I'll be back better then ever. I promise"

"I'll be waiting then" he says

"I know you will" I say jokingly

He raises an eyebrow pretending to offended

"Because I'll be working hard to come back to you" I say

He grabs my face in his hands and pinches my cheeks harshly then gets up begins running away laughing. I run after him laughing as well, the sound of our laughter blending together as we melt into the darkness unaware of our surroundings.
