《Mr. Kim | [A Jinayeon Story]》Chapter 11

Nayeon is in the shower as Jin gets a text from his phone. It's a name he was familiar with but never expected.
His eyebrows raised, "Mina?" He checks the text and it brought a smile to his face.
Nayeon didn't come back last night so I assumed she slept over with you. I texted Yoongi and that other guy and told them not to come to your place or bother you. Your welcome~~ Go enjoy a date or something
He puts his phone away as Nayeon finishes showering. Jin quickly cleans up and goes to the kitchen. He smiles seeing Nayeon cooking something for him. It was Jin's dream, his girlfriend cooking breakfast. As he walks closer to give her a back hug, he suddenly smells something weird.
Jin still backhugs Nayeon but as he puts his chin on her shoulder he asks, "Is something burning?" Nayeon laughs shyly and says, "Finally, you're done. Can you help me with this?" Jin chuckles and asks, "How can you burn eggs?" She pouts and says, "Come on! Fix it, I'm hungry."
Jin slides her to the side as they switch positions. Nayeon now backhugs Jin as he cooks their breakfast. Once he finishes, the two sit at the couch in front of the television. Jin sits on the couch as Nayeon sits next to him. He holds one big plate of food as he continues to feed himself and Nayeon as they watch whatever is on tv.
Once they finish their food and clean up, Jin takes his keys and says, "Ready for the best date of your life?" Nayeon nods and extends her hand. He takes a hold of it and leads her to his car. After opening the door for her, he quickly gets on the driver seat. She asks, "Where to?"
Jin smiles and says, "Surprise~~"
After a few minutes of driving, they end up in the park. He surprisingly takes out a picnic basket from the trunk as Nayeon asks with her jaws dropped, "W-when did you prepare all of this?" Jin smiles, "I woke up in the middle of the night because you pushed me off the bed. I went back to sleep only after I prepared our perfect picnic date." She blushes and says, "You're welcome."
Jin smiles brightly and extends his hand so she can take a hold of it. He leads them to a nearby tree for shade but it was near the lake so they could have a nice view at the scenery. He brings out light snacks such as small sandwiches and fruits as they just had breakfast not too long ago. Jin asks, "I'm still full from breakfast. Want to walk around for a bit?" Nayeon smiles and extends her hand as he takes a hold of it.

Jin has the picnic basket in one hand and Nayeon's in the other. They walk silently but knowing the two, that silence wouldn't last too long. Jin speaks up, "Isn't this great? A normal walk in the park?" Nayeon nods as she says, "This is my first serious date."
Jin nods and says, "Me too." She turns to him surprised and says, "What? That's surprising, Mr. Playboy." He chuckles and says shyly, "H-hey, flings are different from girlfriends. I've never done this before but so far... it feels way better." Nayeon smiles and says, "It's great to know that I'm your first girlfriend."
Jin scoffs and says, "Well, I'm your first boyfriend." She stays quiet as he glances at her. He asks, "I am your first boyfriend, right?" Nayeon just smiles and stays quiet as Jin stops walking and as he is holding her hand, she stops too. Jin says a bit more serious, "Yah, you said no secre-" Nayeon shows a gummy smile and says, "I'm kidding! Yeah, you are my first boyfriend!"
Jin then smiles proudly then turns so they can walk again. Nayeon smiles and says, "You're so cute when you're jealous." He laughs sarcastically, "Hahaha, it won't be cute when I end up beating up someone." She says a bit impressed, "Ahhh, I didn't see you as a bully." Jin retaliates, "I'm not a bully. Just a protective boyfriend."
Jin then says, "And don't act like, you won't do the same for me." Nayeon smiles as she feels guilty as charged and says, "Yeah, you got me. I'll be a protective girlfriend." They soon grow a little hungry due to all the walking and talking. They make their way back to their original spot and sit on the picnic blanket.
Jin leans on the tree trunk while Nayeon sits by him and leans on him. He takes the fruitsalad and mini-sandwiches from the basket. He feeds her as she feeds him. They soon devour the snacks in a matter of seconds. Jin glances at the empty picnic basket and chuckles, "I'd expect my hours of effort to last longer than a few seconds." She smiles shyly and says, "Sorry."
Jin shakes his head and says, "No it's okay. We're supposed to eat it anyway." She leans her head on his shoulder and says, "For our next date, I'll prepare everything." He smiles and repeats, "Next date. I like the sound of that." She pecks his cheek and says, "So, what's next on the list? Don't tell me this was the only thing you planned for the 'best' date of my life." He smiles and says, "Next, is the movie. I was debating of choosing between a horror and a romcom."

Nayeon asks, "So, which one did you choose?" Jin says, "Well, it was either I'd have you clinging on to my arm and hiding behind me or completely boredom while you fall in love with a movie character and ignore my existence." She then says, "So... horror movie?" Jin nods and says, "Don't worry. It's not that scary."
It was too scary, at least for Nayeon. Jin would have been scared too but he paid no attention to the movie. All he remembered was Nayeon hugging him tightly with her face buried in his chest while crying. Jin chuckled as they walked out of the theatre. He glances at Nayeon who's makeup is messed up due to crying then he looks at his shirt smudged with her makeup. Jin fixes her hair and says, "You should fix yourself up, you look terrible." Nayeon sobs and says, "WE'RE NEVER WATCHING A HORROR MOVIE AGAIN!"
Jin looks around shyly as Nayeon brought a lot of attention to them. He nods and says, "I'm sorry." He suddenly breaks into laughter and Nayeon glares at him. Jin says, "S-sorry, I can't take you seriously right now." Nayeon then takes out her phone and glances at the state of her face. She gasps as she glares at Jin.
After several minutes, Nayeon comes out the girls' restroom with her fixed makeup. She seems a bit grumpy as Jin asks, "Are you mad?" She stays quiet and he sighs. She extends her hand out aggressively and Jin softly takes it. Nayeon asks, "What's next?"
Jin says, "I made reservations at this fancy restaurant then we can head back to my place." Nayeon blushes as she's a little impressed and excited. She nods and Jin leads them to the famous restaurant he was talking about.
The two walk in and are greeted by a bright guy. He says, "Jin!" He gives Jin a hug then turns to Nayeon. Jin says, "This is Hoseok. He's a good friend of mine and the owner of this restaurant." Nayeon smiles as she takes a hold of Hoseok's hand to shake it. But, Hoseok doesn't shake it instead he kisses the back of her hand as he says, "Welcome to my restaurant, beautiful."
Jin pushes him away a little forcibly and says, "She's my girlfriend. You can show us the table now." Hoseok just smiles and says, "Right, it's this way." He leads them to a private room as Jin pulls her chair back so she can sit then proceeds to sit across her. Nayeon raises her eyebrow, "There's no menu?" Jin smiles and says, "I already ordered for us."
A few minutes later, Nayeon glances at the several carts of food being delivered to their table. Nayeon stutters, "Y-you paid for all of this?" Jin nods and says, "Don't worry, I don't mind spending a little cash on my girlfriend." Nayeon blushes as she says, "Shouldn't we think of nicknames?"
Jin nods and says, "You didn't like cupcake, so how about muffin?" Nayeon chuckles and says, "No. You make one that perfectly represents myself. Something that when you hear, you're like 'Oh is he talking about Im Nayeon?"
Jin thinks for a bit and says, "I would call you my bunny, but that reminds of Jungkook. How about buck teeth?" Nayeon stares at him coldly and he chuckles, "I'm kidding. How about we go traditional, do your prefer babe or honey?" She says, "No~ We can't be basic!"
Jin asks, "Then what's my nickname?" Nayeon replies, "Grandpa." Jin chuckles and says, "If I'm grandpa, then you're grandma." She pouts and he says, "Then it's settled. How's the food, grandma?" Nayeon replies, "It's great. How do you like it, grandpa!"
Jin smiles and says, "Perfect."
The soon finish eating dinner then proceed to eat each others' lips. Jin and Nayeon stumble into his household with the distance between them nonexistent. Nayeon drops her bag and Jin is quick to pick her up and bring her to a nearby counter. He places on the counter as they remain kissing. Their shirts are quickly taken off as Jin lifts her again and brings her to the bedroom.

The two wake up and are back to where it started. Jin and Nayeon laying down in their underwear with Nayeon on his chest. They wake up at the same time. Nayeon glances up to meet his eyes as he asks, "So was that the best date of your life?" She thinks for a bit, "From every single date I've been to, it's definitely the best one." Jin chuckles and asks, "Wasn't that your first date?"
She nods as he smiles and says, "Well, since we've been out all day yesterday. Do you want to sleep in today?" Nayeon closes her eyes and places her head back on his chest as she nods cutely. Jin kisses the top of her head as he says, "Sweet dreams, grandma." Nayeon replies with her eyes closed, "I love you." He replies with a whisper, "I love you too."
{I think I'm keeping my reputation of underwhelming endings. Sorry. This was fun as it was my first not Jimina book. Anyway, hope you support my other works! Stay Safe everyone!}

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?
