A little angst for the Darlings of Darlentina

(Many wanted 'Darling' to be the name of the fandom, And I find it cute so i'll probobly use this)

No one's POV:

Signals, Those darn signals.

Regina barely sleeps at night while thinking of a certain girl that keeps running in her mind.

Narda, Her girlfriend, Is getting very distant to her.

They were still in highschool, But Regina believed that this was real love.

She wonders what she did wrong to upset the girl, She tried every day, Thinking that maybe she said, or acted something that made Narda mad.

She hasn't been answering her texts and calls for week, Which led the taller girl into a mess.

She tried everything she could have possibly done.

Flowers, Chocolates, Making banners, Tarpaulins, Even sang infront of a crowd.

But nothing, She received nothing but a glare and a scoff from Narda.

To the point where she cried almost everyday, Thinking that she was a bad girlfriend for not knowing the reason why the love of her life keeps on ignoring her,

Even if she was on her poor state.

This went on for weeks, Months, Until she started losing hope.

There were times were she saw her girlfriend was smiling, laughing with the others.

But when she landed her eyes on her, she received a cold one instead.

She did everything to get her back, She even faced his own father for her.

"What did I do wrong to deserve this kind of treatment from you?" A tear escaped her eyes while she was looking at Narda's photos on her phone.

"Am I a bad girlfriend? Are you ashamed of me now?"

"I can't keep living like this, Please come back." She sobbed.

After a while, She heard her door being opened as the person came inside.

"Regina,"

Of course, It was her Father.

The both of them did not talk for a month ever since Regina defended her girlfriend.

Because of her,

Because of Narda.

"Don't be rude Regina, I'm still your father."

Regina only covered her head with a pillow while still sobbing.

He sighed and came next to her bed.

She took the pillow and saw her daughter in one of her worst state.

"What happend this time that led you to a crying mess?"

"As if you care."

"Regina!"

"What?!" His father heaved a breath and faced her again.

"Do not raise your voice at me, Young lady. I, Am, Your, Father!"

"You never acted like one, So why should I treat you like my father?"

"Because I know what's best for you! I told you before that your so called girlfriend is nothing but bad news."

"Now look at you looking pathetic while crying at a girl. A girl, Regina!"

She had enough of her father telling her what to do, And what not to do.

"You have no right to invalidate my feelings because i never invalidated yours when you started bringing girls at our house years ag-"

He slapped her.

"How.. Dare you. You don't know what i've been thr-"

"You don't know mine either! So stop acting like you know me, When you didn't bother to ask me if I even ate when I was still young, Until now!"

Maybe she took the habit of cutting someone's sentence off when she's mad from her own father.

That's one of the things that they share.

"You never cared about anything but yourself, And that company of yours and your girls!" She stood up from her bed, Facing him.

"The moment I knew you were bringing women to our house, I gave up on repeating to myself that you're my father."

"Kung wala kang awa kay mom, Puwes ako, Meron."

"What's your point, Exactly?"

"Congratulations, You just lost your own daughter and wife, I hope I never see, or talk to you ever again." He scoffed.

She grabbed her phone and started packing her clothes that she worked hard for, And left the things that her father gave to her.

"Just- What are you doing?!"

"Packing, I don't want to see your face once I finally leave." His father looked at her as if she was going nuts.

"And you really think you can survive without me, Regina? I'll cut your allowance and I'll freeze your credit card!"

"Do it! I could care less, Mag sama kayo ng mga babae mo." She glared at him first before leaving.

"You don't deserve to be a parent, Or a husband to mom at all." That was the last words she said before leaving her own room and their house.

Well, What used to be their house.

After leaving the gate, Tears were threatening to fall down again.

She closed her eyes.

"Finally," She said as she wiped her tears.

Finally, After many years, She finally had the courage to confront her father.

Saying what she truly felt, Ang sakit na kinimkim niya simula ng bata siya.

It felt good to finally feel freedom.

But, There were consequences of her leaving.

Just like where she can stay at, Buying food, And things she needed after moving out of the house.

She had no place to go, So she contacted one of her most trusted friends.

"Ali?"

(Ali will be the same age as them since i felt bad for him at the latest upload)

"Gina, Napatawag ka? I just came back from sc- Teka, Okay kalang?" He asked. When he heard Regina breathing heavily, He knew something was off.

"No. Ali, I have nowhere to go." This was one of the things Ali was afraid of happening.

He knew how strict and hard Regina's dad was, He knew what power he holds that even he can destroy his own daughter.

"Please, Help me?" I asked while silently tearing up.

"Where are you? I'm gonna ask our driver to pick you up."

I'm outside of the coffee shop next to our house, Please pick me up."

"On our way, Stay put and update me if anything happens, Okay? I'm here for you, Friend." Regina smiled after a month. The word friend made her calm for a while.

At least she knew she can rely on one of her real friends.

"Thank you, Friend." They hung up the phone.

Regina only sat at the table outside of the shop.

The owner didn't mind her siting outside even if she didn't order anything since Regina was mostly at their shop studying for school even if she had everything set at their house.

When Ali finally came, Both of them left immediately. While the coffee shop owner could only sigh.

From the looks of Regina and her packed stuff, The owner knew that something happend.

They never once asked her why she was always studying at their shop, Regina was always welcome inside, Most of the time she would leave a tip for them whenever she bought their coffee.

Even the coffee shop owner was worried for Regina.

"So let me get this straight, Except for your sexuality."

"You confronted your dad, And left the house?"

"Do you think i'd contact you if I didn't?"

"Init ng ulo, Nag tatanong lang." He wanted to see her laugh, Ever since Regina told him about her and Narda's current relationship, All he could feel for Regina was pity.

Everytime she ranted to him about her girlfriend, He felt bad for her.

"Why did you even left your house?"

"I.. Fought back at him for saying horrible words to her."

"Ah, Nar-"

"Don't." Her glare was telling him not to finish his sentence, Or she will literally combust.

"Hay nako, 'Di kona talaga alam kung ano ang gagawin ko 'sayo."

"But thank you, For letting me stay. Are you sure your parents don't mind me living here for a while?"

"Pft, You're always welcome inside, Friend." She smiled.

"Well, Thank you, Friend."

"Gina!" Ali shouted for her name while running to get direction.

Ali's driver drove them to school and dropped them off.

"I know I said that I'll pick you up later after school, But something happend and I need to be there. Can you commute muna? I promise I'll make bawi nalang 'sayo."

"I'll make bawi.." She made fun of him.

"Regina naman eh!"

"Oo na, I'll commute nalang. Happy?" He smiled at her widely.

"Definitely, I'll see you after school nalang and inside our house at 8 or 8:30 pm. See you around, And try to make friends!" He said while running to his classroom that made Regina chuckle.

Right, She almost forgot that on her third period, She has a class with Narda.

They use to sit together and flirt when the teacher is still not around.

Now, Her girlfriend is so far away from her with different people.

She would be lying if she said that didn't hurt her.

She still wonders why she distant herself to her, Maybe she got bored of her because she does nothing but study all day, And decided to find more interesting people?

She's going crazy with the What If's, Maybe's, And much more.

Narda, Balik kana saakin please?
