Wherein Narda Custodio encountered someone different.

Or more like Narda is a human who fell in love with a vampire Regina.

Narda Custodio is the only student left running in the hallways. Late na naman siya, her last straw bago siya ipadala sa office dahil dito so she shouldn't be seen by anyone. She knows hindi pa nagche-check ng attendance thus she still have time plus if ever, her best friend Mara will cover for her, say, sasabihin nitong masakit tiyan niya so kailangan magbanyo saglit and then she'll just have to enter the classroom with an award winning acting.

She's never used that type of excuse, dignidad niya yung nakataya eh. The whole class will hear Mara's reasoning and she can't risk that. But if things go bad, wala na siyang choice.

She checks her watch and cursed as she reads the time, , she'll surely have to act her way out of trouble this time.

Or so she thought.

Hindi niya napansin na may isa pang estudyante na nakatayo sa lockers nito. Kaya nung lumiko na siya ay nabangga niya ito.

"shiiit!" she cursed once again, feeling herself fall.

She's counting every second in her head, eyes closed.

"can you please move your hands away?" she hears the stranger's voice. A girl.

"ahm, s-sorry." she said as she opened her eyes, planning to stand but only to push the stranger harder on the ground, her hand literally touching the poor student's front.

"shiit! I'm sorry!" she apologized once again, resting her hands on top of the student's head.

"sorry miss ha." she said.

Cold eyes stare at her, she feels her soul being taken away. A very odd feeling.

"why are you still on top of me?" the stranger asks, voice sounding cold just like her stares.

"right!" Narda says, finally learning how to stand without being a mess.

She then offered her hand to help the girl stand only to just feel the wind holding it.

"kaya ko na." the stranger tells her.

"o-okay. s-sorry ulit ha." she instead said at binaba na ang kamay niya.

She felt the strangers gaze at her kaya napakamot siya sa batok niya.

"I'll accept it pag tinuro mo sakin nasan yung room ni Mrs. Tolentino." the stranger told her.

Mrs. Tolentino. The name sure rings a bell.

"kaklase kita!" she yelled upon realizing.

"tara, takbo na tayo, we're late!" she said at hinawakan bigla ang kamay ng babae.

She thinks the girl is just nervous for her first day kaya malamig ang kamay nito.

"Narda, you are late." she heard Mrs. Tolentino said.

"pasensya na po ma'am. sinabi naman po ni Mara reason diba po?" she asks thinking about her lame excuse of pooping.

"yes, but I doubt if it's true." sabi nito sa kanya.

"totoo po yun ma'am, tsaka po, natagalan pa ako kasi nakita ko yung new student, nawawala yata kanina eh." she said, pulling the cold hand near her.

"oh, you must be Regina." her prof said, now dismissing her case.

She seriously hopes the new student won't tell the truth. Kundi lagot siya.

"magpakilala ka sa mga kaklase mo, Regina." rinig pa niyang utos ng prof niya sa babaeng Regina pala ang pangalan.

Dali-dali na siyang umupo sa tabi ni Mara na naka ngiti.

"so kaya ka pala mas na late kasi lumandi ka pa." sabi nito.

"sira! hindi noh. nabangga ko lang talaga siya and para tanggapin niya sorry ko, kailangan ko siyang ihatid sa room ni Mrs. Tolentino who is luckily si prof." paliwanag niya dito.

Tumango-tango naman itong halata namang hindi naniniwala.

"okay-okay, sabi mo bes eh." sabi nito.

"but she's really pretty." she said nung tinignan niya ulit ang babae right at the moment she introduced herself.

"I'm Regina Vanguardia, hello." the girl said, now staring at her.

I can't believe I agreed with what Ali wanted me to do. Mag-aral ulit? Ilang beses ba talaga ako dapat mag-aral sa imortal kong buhay?!

But then again, may choice ba ako? Hindi namang pwede na lumipat lang kami dito without actually doing something human.

Pwede naman akong hindi pumasok, being immortal has its perks. I'm way smarter than anyone else with all the studying I did my entire life.

And why is he calling me?

"what?" I asked nung sinagot ko na ang tawag.

"pumasok ka sa klase mo." utos nito sa'kin.

"how are you still in the premises?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"nilalakad ko papers ko, sasamahan kita dito..for a change." he said that made me smile.

"finally!"

"now, pumasok ka na dun para may masabi ka naman saking lesson niyo. I'll join your class, don't worry." sabi nito sakin and I nodded, as if he can see through the phone.

"okay, see you Ali." I replied and ended the call.

Now, this school won't be boring.

I took my things out of my locker at tsaka isinara ito.

I guess my senses where not expecting things to happen since ramdam ko nalang itong taong nasa ibabaw ko when the impact already happened.

Ramdam ko nalang ang mainit nitong paghinga, rinig ko ang bilis ng tibok ng puso niya.

"can you please move your hands away?" I said, I can't be rude on my first day.

"ahm, s-sorry." she said and I almost made her fly away from me when I felt her hand push me, well, my front.

"shiit! I'm sorry!" she apologized once again but all I can think of is to just throw her out. How dare she touch me like that?!

And why is she now looking at me, her hands on top of my head, STILL on top of me?!

"sorry miss ha." ilang beses ba siyang magso-sorry? she sounds annoying.

I can only stare at her, hindi naman pwedeng itumba ko nalang siya without a very valid reason. She did nothing wrong except holding me lang naman.

"why are you still on top of me?" I asked instead, staring at her eyes.

"right!" she said before finally standing.

I almost rolled my eyes when she offered her hand para tulungan ako tumayo. I don't need that.

"kaya ko na." sabi ko nalang.

"o-okay. s-sorry ulit ha." she said sabay baba ng kamay niya.

I looked at her and she seemed shy kasi napakamot siya sa batok niya.

hmm. cute.

"I'll accept it pag tinuro mo sakin nasan yung room ni Mrs. Tolentino." I told her, somehow my annoyance earlier now faded.

She seemed to be thinking, kilala kaya niya magiging prof ko?

"kaklase kita!" she suddenly yelled.

interesting.

"tara, takbo na tayo, we're late!" she told me at hinawakan ako bigla sa kamay, running towards the direction of our class.

My hands are cold coz I'm a vampire, human. I'm not nervous at all.

"Narda, you are late."

I guess this is Mrs. Tolentino.

"pasensya na po ma'am. sinabi naman po ni Mara reason diba po?" I almost rolled my eyes at her reason.

a very unusual one.

"yes, but I doubt if it's true." well, prof's not wrong at that.

pooping? really?

"totoo po yun ma'am, tsaka po, natagalan pa ako kasi nakita ko yung new student, nawawala yata kanina eh."

lies. dinamay pa ako.

"oh, you must be Regina." her prof said, now noticing me.

Swerte nitong babaeng 'to ayuko ng madaming ganap, I'll let her use me as her excuse for now. Hindi ako magsasabi ng totoo dito sa prof namin.

"ah, yes po prof." I answered as I watch the girl slowly making her way sa upuan niya.

"magpakilala ka sa mga kaklase mo, Regina." our prof said and I once again almost rolled my eyes. I hate introductions.

I was about to say something but then I had to listen to her conversation sa babaeng katabi niya.

So she's into girls.

I then decided to finally speak, kanina pa pala ako dito sa harap, I might have looked like a weird person.

"but she's really pretty." I heard the girl say as I introduced myself.

"I'm Regina Vanguardia, hello."

it's nice to meet you, human.

Narda couldn't help but steal glances at the very beautiful stranger na nakaupo sa harap niya.

May activity kasi and since bago lang si Regina, she decided to approach the girl para isali sa group niya.

"here, I answered my part already." says Regina who handed her the paper.

luh. parang tama 'to lahat ah. beauty and brains 'tong si Regina. potek, crush ko na talaga 'to.

She thinks and smiled at Regina, though unbeknownst to her, the latter can actually hear her thoughts and what she heard made her smile back at her.

I guess it's not bad studying again for the nth time.

"Ali, I am freaking hungry!" Regina kept on telling Ali even before they reached the cafeteria doors.

It's been a whole month since they started studying again.

She's doing well, like, hindi naman na nakakagulat 'yun since she's been through a lot and she knows a lot. Same goes with Ali na laging nakasunod sa kanya at nakabantay. She's thankful for that though. Hindi naman kasi sila blood related ni Ali but they have each other's backs ever since she can remember.

Kaya ganito nalang siya ka clingy dito at ka demanding.

"Ali, dali naaaa." she said as they both sat on one of the chairs sa cafeteria. He gave her a flask na ang laman ay dugo, naubos niya yun in a span of seconds.

"this is bad." she told Ali at sumandal dito.

The people who actually see them together already thinks na she and Ali are together. But of course, they disguised themselves as cousins and so that's how they address all the rumors going around them.

"kausap mo lang si Narda kanina, gutom ka na." she heard Ali say and she rolled her eyes.

Narda is the human na nakabangga sa kanya. After a month of knowing the girl, they actually became close friends. She also got to know Mara, Brian and Noah because of Narda and the three also became her friends.

As a vampire, she's been living like a normal human now more than she ever did before and that's because of Narda. The girl makes her eat different stuffs, tries different food, brings her to different places and even makes her play like a kid.

She enjoys all of those moments with the girl. Heck, she's even sure she's in love with her.

But then, their differences is in between them.

"Ali, about that." she starts.

"I have feelings for Narda." she confessed.

"alam ko, halata naman eh." he answered with a grin.

"but it won't be easy handling that Regina." sabi pa nito, now looking serious.

"I know Ali." she answers.

"Narda, where are you taking me?" she asks as the girl just randomly pulled her with her papunta sa kung saan.

I freaking have to confess now or mababaliw ako.

She heard Narda's thoughts and she immediately stopped walking.

"Narda." she called.

"I love you Regina." the girl tells her.

"ewan, crush lang naman kita eh..tapos biglang mahal na kita. I'm fine being your friend but everytime nakikita kitang kausap si Brian, I don't know.. nagseselos ako. I needed to let this out of my system. Mahal kita."

I know. But you shouldn't have fallen for me Narda. she thinks as she thinks of the main reason why she shouldn't.

I'm a monster.

"Regina, sumagot ka naman please?" Narda pleaded at her.

Will it actually go bad if aamin din siya dito? They can try naman, right?

it doesn't help that I'm so in love with you too Narda.

"I love you too." she said and Narda suddenly slapped herself.

"oy! bakit?!" shocked na tanong niya at hinawakan ito sa mukha.

"I'm not dreaming right? you really said mahal mo din ako?" the girl asks her.

Mahal din ako ni Regina!!!!!! help! yung puso ko!

She chuckles and pulled Narda for a hug. Rinig na rinig niya ang sobrang malakas na tibok ng puso nito, if she has her own beating heart sigurado siyang ganito din siya ngayon.

"I love you." she whispered still hugging the shorter girl.

"shit." Narda cursed at niyakap din siya.

I'll do my best to protect you. Even from myself.

Their relationship went so good, alam ng lahat na sila na and everyone seems to be cool with it.

Except Ali. He's going crazy every single time na gutom si Regina.

"Reg, DO NOT EVER, EVER meet with Narda when you're hungry, okay?" he said, reminding the girl halos araw-araw for the past 2 weeks already.

Nag-aalala ito para sa sitwasyon ng dalawa, them vampires being in love craves blood just the same as they crave their partners. Mahirap kontrolin ang gutom na meron sila pag ganun.

"I know Ali, don't worry." Regina replied.

She knows she has to be more careful now. Being Narda's girlfriend meant being with the girl as long as they can, kahit weekends pa yan.

She admits her thirst and want for blood grew stronger ever since she got together with Narda.

It's their thing. When they recognize they are indeed very much in love with someone, vampire or not, their urge to consume blood grows so bad.

I can handle this. she says to herself.

Regina sat on her usual spot sa bahay nila ni Ali. She's waiting for him since kumukuha pa ito ng supply for them both. Kagabi pa kasi siya d nakakainom and she badly needs it now.

She sighed, may date pa kasi sila ni Narda and so she has to consume a hell lot of blood to make sure she'll not hurt the person she loves. Kailangan niya pa nga magbaon pag ganitong lakad nila.

A sudden knock startles her the same time she smelled a very familiar scent.

"Narda." she says as she gulped.

"Regina? love?" she heard from outside.

"weird, she's supposed to be at home today since d naman gumagala yun. mamaya pa naman meet up namin eh." she heard Narda say.

Suddenly, her phone started ringing at sa lakas ba naman ng ringtone niya, nadinig din ito ni Narda.

"love?" tawag ulit nito.

Without a choice, she stood at lumapit sa pinto.

Do not freaking mess up Regina. she tells herself as she opens the door, smile on her lips.

"I knew I heard your voice!" she lied.

"akala ko guni-guni ko lang." she lied once again.

Narda smiled at her sabay niyakap din siya, "surprise!" the girl tells her and she can't help but hug the girl back.

Letting the scent of Narda in her bubble.

shit.

"pinuntahan na kita, okay lang ba na dito tayo mag date? may dala akong quail eggs and flour, gawan kita ng kwekwek. and let's also watch a movie?" taas baba ng kilay na tanong nito sa kanya when they stopped hugging.

"yes babe." she said, smiling.

With her self control still in check, she started spending time with her girlfriend.

They watched a movie for awhile hanggang sa naisip na ni Narda na gumawa sila ng kwekwek.

"tara love." sabi nito and so she followed the girl.

She smiled upon seeing Narda being all cute and pretty habang abala sa ginagawa nito. She just stood there and watched her.

"ganito lang babe, see? so easy." sabi pa nito sa kanya.

"yes love." she answered with still a smile on her face.

Not until nahulog ang pinaglagyan ni Narda ng quail eggs.

"shit! sorry lo-aray!" blood slowly shown sa daliri nito.

Pinulot niya kasi agad ang lalagyang basag na, so now, her girlfriend has a wound and the smell of blood right away entered her system.

She needs to drink blood, A.S.A.P.

fuck. no Regina! control yourself! that's the person you're in love with!

"Regina, okay ka lang?" Narda asks her sabay tayo at lapit sa kanya. Napansin kasi siya nitong nakatunganga lang.

Blood.

"nagulat ba kita? sorry mahal." Narda tells her.

Her eyes grew darker each second and she cannot seem to control herself now.

fuck! fuck!

"Mahal?" Narda calls and she suddenly pinned her on her kitchen wall.

"R-regina, y-yung mata mo." she heard Narda say.

I'm sorry.

She smirked, she felt Narda's fear and she loves it.

She was about to bite Narda's neck when Ali came and pulled her away.

"Narda!" she heard Ali's voice call for her lover as her senses came back.

The girl is now lying on the ground, nahimatay sa sobrang takot at gulat.

I did more than messing up.

"I ALMOST KILLED HER ALI!" she yelled voice both filled with panic and anger.

"she's safe, Regina." he tells her.

"who knows until when?!" she yells, now crying.

She felt Ali comfort her with a hug.

Muntik na niyang mapatay ang taong mahal na mahal niya.

How can she still stay by her side kung hindi niya ito kayang protektahan mula sa sarili niya?

"I'll erase her memory Ali." she said after awhile of crying.

"what?" he asked, letting go from hugging her.

"you heard me. puntahan ko na siya, I'll erase her memory." she said and made her way sa kwarto niya.

When she entered her room, she saw Narda lying there, sleeping.

"mahal, I'm sorry." she said as she stood beside the girl.

"I love you so much Narda, but with what happened earlier, you are no longer safe with me. The monster in me cannot do anything to save you. kailangan kitang protektahan, maging sa sarili ko." she said at dahan-dahang hinawakan ang buhok ni Narda.

She as well touched the girl's face for the last time.

"I love you." she said.

she said as tears fell from her eyes.

"go meet with Xandra, she knows how to make everyone's memory of us existing fade within seconds, Ali." she orders and he nodded.

Xandra being one of the most powerful vampire in their council helped them with their problem.

"wala ng nakakaalala sa inyo, Regina." the girl tells her nang matapos na nila ang pinapagawa ni Regina.

"salamat sa tulong Xandra." she said.

"heal your heart Reg." sabi nito at tinapik siya sa balikat.

How is she going to heal from it? With everything that happened, she knew it was all too good to be true eh. With everything that happened, it only took one freaking second for her to mess everything up. It only took a freaking second for Narda to forget her.

It's like she never went to school and met amazing people, it's as if she never met Narda.

Meanwhile, Narda woke up in her own room, clueless as to what happened. She feels like she's been asleep for so long. Moreover, she felt her heart aching.

"something feels missing." she thinks as she wipes her tears.
