Wherein Brian's cousin Narda is secretly in love with his girlfriend Regina.

"why is she going to sleep in my room when she's your girlfriend for the love of God, Brian?!" Narda asks irritated as she stood and shot Brian a piercing glare.

She's currently living with Brian, her cousin, for the sake of school they're staying together under the same roof. It's also not a big deal since they're close cousins and would spend a lot of time together.

Then suddenly Brian started dating someone. It's fine with Narda though, they're old enough to date someone they want. Not a big deal as well. What she wants is just to know who the girl is, Brian's like her brother afterall.

So she starts asking him, wanting to get details as to whom the girl is. Until finally, he introduced his girlfriend to her during that special dinner.

Flashback

"well, there's someone I want you to meet." he answered with a smile as he sat in front of her.

He laughs at her and nodded.

Narda felt someone coming close to her and so she then turned to look at whoever the person is, hand holding a glass of water and mouth already full of it.

"she's from one of my classes." she heard Regina speak.

Regina looks at her with a smile and nodded, "right."

He nodded with a smile, "figured it's much better to formally introduce you two together." he said.

"and that's what I'm going to do now..Regina, that's Narda, my straight as a circle cousin and Narda, that's Regina...my girlfriend." he spoke.

"me too Regina." she said with a smile.

One may think her smile is real. But she herself knows it isn't.

"she's a girl, Narda. I can't sleep with her." he defended.

"she's your girlfriend. control whatever your emotions is! or better, sleep outside your room and let her have yours!" she said.

"what? no. come on, please Narda?" Brian pleaded.

"besides, it's the right time for you to spend time together." he added and she rolled her eyes.

"and why is that?" she asks.

"well, coz you haven't really tried talking to her. remember you kept on asking who my girlfriend is weeks ago so you can get to know her for me, you really haven't done that at all." he said.

How is she going to say 'no' to that? Can't she just say she doesn't want to do that now coz Regina is actually the girl she's in love with?

Of course she can't. It'll cause a problem.

She can just go find a place to stay for the mean time. That's right.

"she can sleep in my room, I'll sleep here in the couch." she said.

"what? no!! it's your room, plus the couch is too small." he said.

I'd rather sleep in this small couch than sleep beside your girlfriend who I'm in love with Brian. God! why can't I just say that?!!

"I'll sleep at Ali's." she said.

"you told me Ali's out with his girlfriend for a short vacation after our exams, remember?" he reminded her.

Shit. now what?!

"then at Xandra's." she said.

"she's Ali's girlfriend, Narda." he replied.

Double shit!

"Noah. I'll stay at his place." she said.

"Noah's out somewhere this weekend." Brian told her.

"no, he's not." she said.

"Narda, I am Noah's best friend. I know where he is and where he'll be." Brian told her.

Who else?!!

"I'll go at Mara's place." she said and Brian raised his brow at her.

"she lives 8 hours from here." he said.

I hate myself.

"come on, just let Regina sleep beside you..she won't bite, 'kay?" Brian told her as he taps her shoulder.

It's me I'm worried about! I might just stare at her the whole night and creep her out. Or she'll probably find it scary how there's loud drumming near her which is just actually my heart beat!

"it's settled..clean your room, Regina will be here in 10 minutes." Brian told her as he walks back to his room.

"I'll sleep at Ding's place!" she yelled.

"he's Mara's brother!" Brian yelled back.

Now what?!

"hi Narda." Regina greets her with a smile.

"hello, ahm, come in." she greets with a smile back.

"thanks. I brought some quail eggs. Brian said you know how to make kwek-kwek?" the girl asks her.

"I do, do you want to eat some?" she asks as she helped Regina with her things.

The girl is going to stay with them for two days and two nights. Mainly the reason why she feels she's going to die.

"yeah, can you please teach me how to make some? so I can make it on my own next time." the girl told her.

"sure." she said with a smile.

"Regina." she heard Brian's voice coming out from his room.

"hi babe." she heard Regina say and that's her sign to go bring the girl's things inside her room.

babe? tss.

She thinks bitterly as she walks towards her room.

"are you seriously not coming home Brian?!" she yells through her phone.

Brian went out 2 hours ago. He said he'll just go buy more quail eggs but where on earth is he now?!

"chill Narda. I'll be home before you know it." her cousin responded.

"what am I gonna do with Regina now? you are worrying her!" she yelled.

Regina is actually beside her, holding her phone and is staring at her.

"I'll call her, don't worry. spend time with her now. I'll come back. Love you cous, you'll thank me later." Brian said before ending the call.

"what?!" she asks and dialed the phone again.

Brian is now not answering her calls.

"what the hell is wrong with your boyfriend?!" she asks, now mad.

Regina looks up at her from her phone and shrugs her shoulder.

"he actually told me we should spend some time together..for you and me to know each other more." Regina told her.

"what for?" she asks as she rolled her eyes.

"I don't know..what do you think babe?" Regina asks her with a smirk before walking towards where the kitchen is.

wait what? b-babe?!

"Narda, are you just gonna stand there? come on, I want you near me." she hears Regina call her from their kitchen.

"fine." she says as she walks towards where the girl is.

freaking feelings.

"what are we going to do?" she asks as she stood beside Regina.

The girl is actually a bit taller than her, she finds herself both small and cute beside the girl. A smile left her lips before she even realized.

"depends with what you're thinking babe." Regina says, smiling at her.

"huh?" she asks, confused.

"I'm hungry." Regina tells her.

"okay, I'll cook for you." she tells the girl and walks towards where the fridge is.

"tell me what I can do to help babe." the girl tells her.

She did not respond to that. Regina's been calling her babe three times now. She'll have her heart replace by the end of the day if the girl keeps that up.

Cutting all the necessary ingredients for a curry, she started looking for a bowl to transfer all the ingredients.

stupid Brian. why would he put bowls on top of the shelf? he's giant while I'm not!

She thinks as she tries to reach for it. Boy, she's struggling so much.

Her breathing seemed to stop when she felt someone behind her, "I told you to tell me what I can do to help you babe." she hears the girl say with a very soft tone, hand touching hers.

Shit! her scent! her voice! her touch! can I really do this?!

"a-ahm..t-thank you Regina." she says as the girl handed her the bowl.

Coming face to face with her and within this range, she feels herself malfunction.

"y-you're too c-close." she says as she looks down.

yup, the floor is interesting. it's brown.

"hmm?" was Regina's response.

"I s-said, y-you're too c-close..move back p-please." she said, still looking down.

the heck with me stuttering!

"can't I be this close to you babe?" Regina asks her.

"s-stop c-calling me babe, Regina." she says, lightly pushing the girl far from her.

"why are you so densed?" Regina asks. She hears the girl sigh and so she then looked up.

"I'm in love with you Narda. I have been trying to get close to you and get to know you since I laid my eyes on you but all you ever talk about is class. I had to make a way to talk to you outside class and so when I found out you're Brian's cousin, I had to ask him a favor." Regina told her.

"w-wait what?" she asks, so confused.

"I am not Brian's girlfriend. He's out right now with his boyfriend, Noah. And yes, he's gay. I'm the one who helped confess his feelings for Noah and so I asked the same thing. I asked if he can help me with you and he suggested that I pretend to be his girlfriend. I agreed coz what else can I do to get close to you? You don't even look at me unless it's needed." Regina confessed.

the heck is she saying?! I have been looking at her for ages!

"I steal glances at you from time to time Regina." she corrected.

"that's what Brian told me during the dinner a week ago. but after that, it's the same thing, you still do not talk to me in class or after class." Regina told her.

"that's cause you're Brian's girlfriend..that and the fact that I'm so in love with you it makes me nervous." she confessed.

"I should've just approached you, right?" Regina asks her, looking into her eyes.

"I should've approached you." she said, looking back at Regina's eyes.

"can we start again?" Regina asks her.

"this time, not as Brian's fake girlfriend." the girl added.

She smiles as she nodded, extending her hand for a handshake.

"my name's Narda." she said.

"I'm Regina." the girl replied, holding her hand.
