《Fun Facts!》Memories can be Passed Down to the Next Generation

Memories are the things we create and store throughout our brain regions so that if some brain parts are damaged we will not forget everything. However, when we die our memories also die with us but not entirely. There is a possibility that these memories can be passed down to our (future) offspring without needing them to experience the fears we acquired like anxiety or probably mental disorders like PTSD.

Epigenetically, if we are exposed to a stressful environment, some of our genes will alter their expression basing on those circumstances, in such a way we will get mentally or physically ill from it. Also, our brains change and restructure from those mishaps over time. So no wonder it became our instinct behaviors to fear and avert hideous creatures that seem harmful or dangerous like spiders, bears, bugs, and clowns which are passed down to us by our ancestors. But these phobias do not only give negative feelings but also give a little survival advantage. We avoid possible attacks from those scary creatures which might be the cause of our death.

Probably in the future, the next generation will gain a phobia and paranoia of losing their own phones and might not survive without it even just a couple of minutes.
