Chapter IV January 1st-9:23pm
"Cmon! We need to get back to the Winter Rose!" Chris shouted as we all ran back to our drop off shuttle.
"What...What the hell was that thing?" I shouted as we ran, out of breath.
"I dunno. But it was scary as hell." Nathan replied.
"It looked like a dead hybrid." Trinity said.
"How can it be dead when it attacked us?!" Nathan said.
"I'm not sure...maybe it...reanimated somehow..." Trinity said, obviously worried.
"Reanimated?" Chris said with a worried look on his face.
"You mean...like...like a...zombie...?" Nathan said as we reached our shuttle.
"That's putting it...unprofessionally..." Trinity started. "But...yes..." She finished as she climbed aboard.
As the four of us waited ever so anxiously to reach the Winter Rose, we talked more about the scary event that just occurred on Venus.
"So, what if..." Nathan began. I dreaded what he was about to say. He always had a way of making a scary situation scarier. "What if these things are on the Winter Rose?" He finished and I felt my heart jump.
We all just gave him a nervous look. Except for Trinity, who stated at the floor and took out her journal.
"T-That's not likely..." I shuddered.
"You say that now Stephanie..." Nathan replied to me. "But-"
"Okay. That's enough speculation Nathan." Chris interrupted.
I sunk back into the semi-comfortable leather seating that our shuttle had. I felt myself begin to relax slightly. I wanted to just go to sleep an wake up from a bad dream, but this was too real. Too real to be fake. And then, things got worse. __

Chapter V January 1st-10:11pm
Just as we had gained what should have been a sight of relief of the Winter Rose, my heart jumped into my throat.
The Winter Rose was on fire! Nathan's crazy speculation had come true! Or had it? I didn't want to believe it, but the truth stood before my very eyes. Had those zombified hybrids actually gotten to the Winter Rose?! My horrified thoughts were interrupted by Chris' noise from him stumbling up.
5 "Oh my God..." Was all he could say.

"What the hell is going on?!" Nathan shouted.
I tried to say something, but all that came out of my mouth was worried sighs. I suppose why I was so scared by all this is because I was never in the Human/Hybrid war. I had no experience with these Hybrid aliens. Other than the simulators from basic combat training. This was all new to me.
"Everybody be ready to fight." Chris said.
As we landed it the hangar of the Winter Rose, we climbed out and looked around the hangar that was somewhat on fire. There were marines running around putting out fires, helping each other move items. And even a few that were fighting a few Zombie Hybrids( which Nathan so conveniently gave the nickname: Walkers, he watches too much walking dead).
"What do we do?!" Nathan said, looking to Chris for orders.
"Stephanie! Trinity! Get to the general's quarters and tell him we've had first contact with these things!" Chris ordered after a few silent seconds.
"Yes sir!" Trinity said as she began to run to the door.
"What are you to gonna do?" I stopped an asked Chris.
"We're gonna help out here! Now go!" He replied.
"Yes sir!" I said as I ran to Trinity who was waiting for me at the door.
________
As Trinity and I walked through the flickering corridors of the Winter Rose, we looked around for General Greek's room. Then, something grabbed my shoulder from behind.
"Ahh!!!" I yelled as I turned around swiftly. Before me stood a walker hybrid. It's face was very bloody and it's side had a gaping hole in it. I smelled the rotting flesh through my helmet's nose filters.
I hit the creature with a right hook across the face. It wasn't even phased by this and it roared in my face and I braced myself for the incoming bite from the monster. But I guess my fight or flight instincts kicked in.
"TRINITY!!! HELP!!!!" Shouted at the top of my lungs. I saw Trinity run out from one of the rooms she was in.
Suddenly, the Hybrid was shot multiple times in the back. The weird thing was.
This wasn't from Trinity. As the creature let me go, I looked at the person who shot it.

"Are you okay?" The person said as they have me a hand to hoist myself onto my feet.
Once I was on my feet, I realized just who that person was. It was General Greek himself. Trinity and I gave the general a stiff salute. He waved his hands as to say at ease.
"General Greek! My team and I have had first contact with these creatures." Trinity said.
"I see..." The General said with a worried look on his face.
Suddenly, another creature appeared out from the darkness of the hallway. But this monster was different. So different in fact that it didn't look like a hybrid. Except it WASN'T a hybrid at all. This creature was a sort of bug-like creature that had 4 limbs. What should have been hands were crude long pincers. The horrific monster scurried on all fours toward us. Screeching and hissing in audible moans. The three of us aimed our weapons at the creature.
"Get back!" The general shouted through his starred helmet. He fired multiple rounds from his pistol and hit the monster square in the chest.
Suddenly, Trinity intervened and ran toward the monster with her knife. She stabbed the bug-like creature in the head and it fell dead
. "That was a good kill miss...?" The general started. Waiting for an answer from Trinity.
"Special Operations sergeant Trinity Rose!" Trinity said. Saluting the general.
"Well sergeant Rose, that was brave of you, but next time, follow orders." The general said
. "Yes sir. I just had to get the job done." Trinity said, giving me a cocky look.
"And you are?" The general said, directing his question toward me.
"Special Operations Sergeant Stephanie Morgan." I replied swiftly.
"Well, I'm sure you know that I'm General Damon Greek. Commander of this ship. But I have bad news." He said. Trinity and I looked at him with a curious stare. "We have to evacuate the ship."

Chapter VI January 1st-11:22pm
The walk with General Greek to the hangar where the escape pods was long and action packed. I felt my heat race with the excitement and fear that I remembered from insurgency shootouts. Finally, we made it to the hangar where I saw Nathan, Chris, and a few other marines waiting next to the last few escape pods. Everyone else must've been shot out already.
"There you two are!" Chris said, relieved to see us both.
"There'll be time to catch up later." General Greek said as he interrupted our little reunion and climbed into an escape pod and slammed it shut.
I climbed into the pod and slammed the door shut. I then prepped it for take off and held on for the long ride down to Venus. "Please strap yourself in." I hear the automated pod voice say. I held my breath and prepared for the drop. And then it hit me... The pod felt weightless as it fell into the empty void of space behind the rest of my squad.
"Stay in formation. We don't want to get separated out here!" I heard Chris say over my communications relay.
Suddenly, a piece of scrap metal debris hit my pod and I began to spin out of control. I couldn't control it. I was in a tailspin. Suddenly, I hit the ground.

Chapter VII January 1st-11:42pm
"C'mon! We have to get to the evacuation shuttles!" Nathan said as he shouted as he ran with Chris and Trinity.
"The city is under full alert! These things are all over the colony!" General Greek shouted as he motioned for everyone to get aboard the shuttle off Venus.
As the last batch of marines huddled aboard the shuttle, they were gone without another sound.

Then...I awoke....

T/C: Well, there it is. Act 1.
How did u like it?
I think I'm developing a great story with some pretty awesome female characters.
So far, Trinity is my favorite.
I see I got a decent amount of reads the 1st time.
Then again, it's not about the reads, it's about the story.
The next part will delve into Stephanie's main storyline and struggle.
Do you know what's going to happen?
I think I made it pretty obvious.
Also sorry that chapter VII was so short, I just needed to add that part
Anyways, until act II....

Bastard's Wrath
The Wyvern reared its humongous head, serpent neck coiling back, onyx scales of opulence shimmering in the dimness of the cloud smothered sky. It spoke, eye's ashen, like the surface of a star, "What is it you desire, boy?" The word's rolled from it's pointed maw, tongue flicking, it's deep and ferocious voice sending the ground below rumbling. Damien looked up, hair sodden with rain, his face battered beyond recognition, his lips curled into a snarl. He had gone past the point of being frightened; he was tired of his weakness. He spoke, voice wavering, mist floating from his mouth in the coldness: "I want them dead. I want everyone who stabbed me in the back; dead." The Wyvern smiled, rows of teeth exposed, "Then sacrifice it. Sacrifice your humanity." - The story of a bastard within a crippled family, who beyond all odds becomes known as the Greatest Swordsman to live: the one that, even the Gods, would someday fear.
