Edward immediately carried Bella over to Carlisle's makeshift operating room and placed Bella on the gurney. Jake, Rose, Alice, Edward and I surrounded her. She was loosing a lot of blood and writhing in pain. We were all in a panic and worry state.

"Rosalie pass the morphine." Edward said. Rosalie did as told and Edward stuck the needle in Bella's leg. I could tell Bella was going in an out of consciousness.

"Carlisle said the placenta must have detached." Alice said while on the phone. "He's coming as fast as he can, but..."

"We'll have to do it." Rose said holding up a scalpel.

"No Rose! Let the morphine spread." I said to her.

"There's no time! He's dying!" Rosalie countered.

"Get him out now!" Bella yelled.

"Look at me Bella." I said to her, making her look straight at me, then Rosalie sliced her stomach, making her scream and grunt in pain. I held Jacob's hand tightly as we watched her.

Rosalie was finished cutting Bella but held the bloody knife up, looking at it thirsty.

"Rosalie don't!" I yelled, ready to push her back using my telekinesis but Jacob let go of me and jumped at Rosalie first, stopping her from killing Bella.

"Alice get her out of here!" I yelled to my sister as she picked Rose up and got her out of the room. Bella called out to her but I went to Bella's side to comfort her.

"Bella's its fine. She'll be back. I'm here for you. We're here" I cooed her, Jacob came back over to us.

Bella continued to yell in pain.

"Save her! You gotta change her!" Jacob yelled to my brother.

"I can't, not whilst he's still in there. I got to get him out first." Edward said referring to the baby.

I knew what Edward was going to do, since knives couldn't get through, he was going to bite through Bella's abdomen in order to get through to the baby. Jake and I just have to keep her distracted from the pain.

"Stay Bella, Stay focused." I comforted her.

"Keep your heart beating." Jacob added.

"No! He's suffocating!" Bella screamed. I looked over to Edward and nodded.

"Okay." Edward said then he bit into Bella. More screams erupted from her. Jacob and I cringed at the sound of her in more pain.

After a few seconds, she stopped. Then laughs came from Edward and a baby's cry.

He lifted up the baby covered in blood, and it was a girl. I knew it.

Little Renesmee.

"Hey, hey. Its Renesmee." Edward announced, we all sighed in relief. We stared back at Bella.

"You're beautiful." She let out weakly, then Edward placed Renesmee on her chest. Jacob and I smiled at them but it faded when Renesmee bit Bella so Edward took her off of her again. She cried but then quieted down. She opened her eyes, showing big brown eyes, just like Bella's.

I looked at Bella who smiled.

But then, Bella laid still.

"Bella?" I called out to her, shaking her shoulder a little.

"Bella?" Jacob too joined in and started doing CPR on her.

"Bella!" We both said. Tears now streaming down my face.

"Jacob take the baby." Edward said, trying to pass Renesmee on to Jacob.

"Keep that away from me." Jacob said sternly. I would've been mad at him but that's just his stress talking and the fact that Bella is practically dead right now.

I was about to take Renesmee when Rosalie came back, "I'll take her Edward. I promise. I'm okay." Edward gave Renesmee to Rosalie and they went away.

Edward started going through a drawer and got out a big syringe filled with silver liquid.

"What is that?" Jacob asked, a few tears fell down his face too.

Edward then plunged the needle into Bella's chest, right into her heart. "Its my venom." He pressed down on it, releasing all the venom in it. When he was done, nothing was happening.

Bella still laid still.

"Come on. Bella. It's supposed to be working." Edward whispered, he too started pressing down on Bella's heart, pumping it.

I looked at Bella then at Jacob, we were both torn.

"Wait, let me try something." I told Edward, wiping some of my tears.

He backed away and I leaned over to Bella.

"What are you doing?" Jacob asked me.

"I need to try this." I then closed my eyes and focused on Kate's gift. I've never gotten to use it since the wedding so now seems like a good time.

Once I opened my eyes, my hands started conducting electricity out of them, I looked over at Edward and Jacob. Jacob looked surprised, knowing he didn't know I got a new gift, but Edward just nodded at me, and I gently placed my hands on Bella's body, right above her heart. I shocked her a few times but still, nothing.

I stood back, tears falling down my face again, even more.

Jacob suddenly looked straight at Edward, "I won't kill you. That'd be too easy. You deserve to live like this." Jacob said and grabbed my hand and walked us out, leaving Edward to take care of Bella's lifeless body.

I didn't care what Jacob just said, all I knew was that my best friend is dead. Out of all the things we've been through, Bella dies giving birth.

Though hopefully, maybe the venom worked in time and Bella's not really 'dead', just beginning her transformation. But still, it hurts to have witnessed someone die right in front of you.

When we both got outside, we both stumbled to the ground and cried.

For Jacob, I knew he was crying because she was his best friend and they obviously had their history together. For me, she too was my best friend but again, it hurt to see her die of this even though we've had a lot of other times where it was way accurate of a dying situation. It hurt me because although since Bella came into our lives it's been a real roller coaster, she made it all set together and interesting.

Seth and Leah soon found us, sad expressions as they saw us crying. "She didn't make it." Seth announced.

We continued to cry a little longer and I could still hear my brother working on Bella. I then felt Jacob get up beside me, a determined looked on his face. I was going to question him but once I saw that he was heading towards the living room where Rosalie and Renesmee were in, I knew why...Oh no.

I immediately followed him, Seth followed right behind me.

"Jake! Stop! She's a baby! Stop!" I yelled at him though he already got to the living room but Seth got ahead and blocked him before I did.

Jacob was set to do what he said to the pack to distract them. I was furious at Jake but then I looked at Seth as i felt a wave of amazement.

Seth was looking at Renesmee who was faced our way and she was looking back at Seth. They locked eyes and I could see Seth's face soften. I looked into his mind.

He imprinted on Renesmee.

I sighed in relief and comfort. I looked back at Jacob, holding his face in my hands, making him look at me, "Hey, hey. Its over. Stop. Look." I said then making him look over at Seth who still was in his trance.

Jacob's face softened too.

I sighed again and smiled a bit, looking at Seth.

Seth's finally imprinted on someone. This ones definitely a unique one too. Who knew that it would be on my vampire-human baby niece. But hey, the universe has its ways of surprising us.

All of a sudden I hear Edward call out to me and my other 2 siblings, "Alice! Jasper! Avalei!" I then heard many growls and paws against the ground coming closer to our home.

The wolves are coming. They know that Bella's dead and Renesmee's born. They're coming to attack.

Edward came into the living room with Alice and Jasper, Rosalie stood up and went over to them with Renesmee.

"Stay with Bella." Edward ordered Rosalie. She left and we were about to follow when Edward stopped in his tracks and turned towards us, looking at Seth.

He got angry all of a sudden and lunged forward at Seth, so fast that Jacob and I couldn't block him in time. Edward twisted Seth's arm and threw him across the room, making Seth crash into the wall, breaking a few artwork that hung from it. I'd never thought Edward would do that to Seth.

"Edward!" I yelled at him, immediately going over to Seth, making sure he's alright. Edward just ignored me and went outside, followed by Alice and Jasper.

"Seth, are you okay?" I asked him.

Seth got up and looked at his arm, "Yeah I'm fine. You're brother's very possessive and protective huh?" He joked, I laughed a bit, "You have no idea."

Jacob was waiting at the door, "Avalei, he's okay. Come on. The others need us."

I looked back at Seth, his right arm was bent a weird way, "I'm fine Avalei, I'll just pop this back and I'll be right out too. Go." I nodded at him and went over to Jacob and went outside meeting up with the others.

Wolf growls came from all sides in front of us.

"We're outnumbered." Alice stated.

"By a lot" Jasper added.

"I won't let them hurt my family." Edward said sternly.

Jacob and Edward pushed me behind them, Leah joined us already in her wolf form.

"Avalei, I don't want you to get hurt again, but defend yourself if you have to." Jacob said phasing into his wolf seconds after.

Soon enough, Sam and his pack appeared. They all surrounded us, Sam being in the center. And after a few seconds, they started charging at us, Jacob attacking Sam head on.

I watched as my siblings, Jacob and Leah take the wolves on. I saw Jacob grappling with Sam and Alice get pushed back by Jared, who now towered over her. I immediately used my telekinesis to push Jared off of her, but I didn't see Paul who suddenly jumped up on me from the side, making me fall over.

He now towered over me and started barring his teeth at me though I held his muzzle away from me far enough he wouldn't bite me.

Just as I was about to push him away, someone came in and kicked him off of me. When I got up, Emmett, mom and dad were back. They too joined the fight.

We continued to fight off one another for a few more minutes, our side being able to hold them off until we pushed all of them away from us and from the house. We all stopped fighting for a moment, though still alert in case anyone attacked. That's when Sam was about to pounce at Edward but then Seth jumped into the scene and in front of us, stopping Sam.

Just in time Seth.

"STOP! ITS OVER!" He yelled at Sam. Sam growled back, making Seth move to level up with him again.

"IF YOU KILL HER YOU KILL ME!" Seth yelled. Sam growled at him again then pushed him, making Seth phase in the air as he got pushed back.

Seth too barred his teeth at Sam, approaching them again, a sudden burst of confidence and superiority. That surprised all of us, including the other wolves.

I stepped up next to Seth, Jacob following, being on my other side, "Seth imprinted." I announced. That got another wave of surprise throughout everyone.

"They can't hurt her. Just like they can't hurt me." I glared at Paul, hinting about when he attacked me not too long ago. I glared back at all of them, "Whoever a wolf imprints on can't be harmed. Its our most absolute law." I finished. Seth growled at the others again until Sam started backing away. Then finally he turned around and ran back towards their land, followed by his pack.

We all looked at each other. Seth looked back at me, with soft eyes then at Edward. They both nodded towards each other. Thankful to Seth for basically saving us.
