I sat up immediately, scared.

"What is it?" Bella asked.

"Jacob's here." I stammered out. Rosalie immediately stood up, Bella just grabbed my hand and held it. I looked at her and she nodded.

Charlie told Jacob about Bella and he knew something was up.

Its time to tell Jacob.

I saw Dad leave the room and go answer the door.

"Is it true?" I heard Jacob ask, already mad.

"Hello Jacob. How are you?" dad greeted. But I knew Jacob wouldn't take it.

"Listen, give it to me straight. How's Avalei and where's Bella?" Jacob questioned. See?

"Jake is that you?" Bella called out.

"She's here?" Jacob asked.

"They came home a week ago. And Avalei's fine. She's upstairs with the others" dad answered. Then footsteps were heard as they came up the stairs.

"Jake" Bella called out to him. He immediately looked to me, acknowledging that I was perfectly fine. I gave him an apologetic look. He then looked at Bella.

"I'm glad you came." Bella greeted.

Jacob stepped a bit closer but Rosalie stepped in front of him, "Close enough"

"What's your problem? Can't I hug my imprint and greet my best friend?" Jacob warned.

"Rose, its okay." I called out to her, making her move aside and Jacob came to hug me and sit in front of us, looking at Bella.

"You look terrible." He said looking at Bella. Jacob would be the one to actually say that out loud.

"Yeah its nice to see you too." Bella joked.

"So are you gonna tell me what's wrong with you and why you had to lie to me that you were sick too?" Jacob asked, looking at the both of us.

I looked at Bella, she nodded, "Jake, I told Avalei to lie to you because well...Rose, Avalei, would you help me up?" Rose and I then stood up and helped Bella stand. She lifted the blanket off of her and her shirt had rode up, showing her very bruised pregnant belly. Jacob stared straight at it and she immediately covered it again, looking at Jacob.

Jacob got angry, "You did this!" He yelled going over to Edward who was still at the window, Emmett held Jacob back.

"We didn't know it was even possible." Dad issued.

"What is it?" Jacob asked, still a little fumed.

"I'm not sure. Ultrasounds and needles won't penetrate the embryonic sac." Dad informed.

"Avalei and I can't see it either. We can't see Bella's future anymore." Alice added.

"We've been searching legends but there isn't much to go on. It's almost the same case as it was with Avalei. What we do know is that it's strong and fast growing." Dad finished.

"Why haven't you done anything? Take it out of her!" Jacob remarked. I was afraid he'd say that. He's just like Edward.

"That's none of your business dog." Rosalie threatened.

"Rose!" I scolded.

"All this fighting isn't good for Bella." Mom stated.

"The fetus isn't good for Bella." Alice corrected.

"Say the word Alice, Baby, its just a little baby." Rose reminded her.

"Possibly" Jasper added.

"Carlisle you've gotta do something." Jacob ordered.

I walked over to them, a little angry, "No! Its not his decision. Its not any of yours."

"Jacob, I need to talk to you." Edward suddenly said, walking out.

Before Jacob followed him, I grabbed his arm, "Jake, please understand." I pleaded, he just looked at me with soft eyes then went outside too.

I went over to help Bella sit down again and sat next to her.

I followed Edward towards the backyard.

"I always knew you'd destroy her." I spitted out once we stopped walking.

"She thinks Carlisle can turn her at the last minute, like he did for me and Esme." Edward stated.

"Can he?" I questioned still ticked.

"Probability is slight. And if her heart fails..." We both thought of her dying. "Look Jacob, I need you to do something for me." Edward issued. I scoffed.

"If not for me, for Bella. You have a connection with her that I'll never understand. I know you have Avalei, but she's on Bella's side. Maybe you can talk to her, change her mind. You can keep her alive." Edward suggested.

"And if I can't?"

"If she dies, you get what you always wanted. To kill me." He finished. As much as that intrigued me, I know I couldn't do that to Avalei. He's her brother. She wouldn't forgive me if I killed him.

I should try to get Bella to change her mind though, but I know it won't work. I mean, when did she ever listen to me or Avalei about anything. But it doesn't hurt to try.

I went back inside the house, walking into the living room only to find Bella, Blondie and Avalei.

Blondie stood stance guarding me from Bella, "Rose, I'm fine. Avalei will stay with me." That's when Blondie stepped beside me and walked off.

I lightly raised an eyebrow and sat down in a seat in front of them.

"So, Edward sent you in here to talk to me?" Bella questioned.

"Sort of. Though, I can't figure out why he thinks you'd listen to me. I mean, you never have before." I stated, we all ended up laughing at that.

"Yeah, you're not wrong there." Avalei added. Making me smile again.

"Since when are you and blondie BFFs?" I asked Bella.

"Rose understands what I want." Bella replied. I looked at Avalei then back at Bella.

"What are you thinking Bella? Seriously?" I asked her.

"I know this seems like a scary thing, but its not. Its like this miracle or something. I can feel him." Bella answered, making me scoff.

"So its a bouncing baby boy. I'm sorry, I didn't know. Should've brought some blue balloons." I said sarcastically. I felt Avalei glare at me.

"I say its a girl." Avalei added.

"Its just a guess. When I picture him, I see a boy. We'll see." Bella finished.

"You won't." I immediately included.

"Jake, I can do this. I'm strong enough." Bella said softly.

"Come on. You can spout that crap to your bloodsucker, but you don't fool me. I can see what that thing's doing to you. Its a killer Bella." I sternly told her. I could see Avalei in my side view that she slumped down a bit.

"You're wrong." Bella replied.

"And when you die, what was the point? Of me loving you, Avalei sacrificing herself for you, you loving him. How is that right for anyone? Because I sure don't see it. Listen to me Bella. Please. Just don't do this. Live, okay? Please." I pleaded.

"Jake, everything's gonna be okay." Bella stated but I stood up, turning to leave.

"Jacob don't go." I heard Avalei call out. I turned my head towards them, "I know how this ends. And I'm not sticking around to watch." I finished and began to walk out of the house. I could hear footsteps behind me as I got outside. I was ticked off enough that I kicked my motorbike sending it flying towards a tree. I was about to phase when Avalei called out to me.

"Jacob! Wait!" Avalei said running out of the house. I stopped immediately and turned around.

"You lied to me. You aren't sick. It's Bella. Its Bella who's pregnant. How can you stand by this?" I slightly yelled at her.

She was taken aback a bit, "Because she's my sister. I'm sorry I lied to you but I was afraid of what you'd say. And I was right about it. You're just like Edward. And Bella would've done the same thing for me." I scoffed and began to turn away again but Avalei suddenly grabbed my arm, yanking me back.

"You want to kill her baby because its a freak monster? Well Jake, what about me? I'm sure it's a hybrid and I'm a hybrid. Why don't you just kill me right now then too?" That changes things. I turned around and saw her crying but still held her upset face.

My anger immediately died down, "Avalei you know I can't do that-"

"Why not? You want to kill the baby inside of Bella because you're afraid it'll kill her and everyone else. Well I know I wasn't born a hybrid but I did become one. I am capable of killing everyone I know, but I won't because I care and love you all. I have feelings too Jake. The baby is just like me. I know how it feels to be a freak of nature. Everyone thinks of you as a monster." She looked down, tears still fell down her face. I never seen her like this before. It kills me to think that she feels that way.

"Avalei, its just that-"

"And what if I was pregnant Jacob? Would you want to kill our baby too? Because I for sure would look past the supernatural stuff and love him or her so much because he or she will always remind me of what our love made up. Why can't you see that that is how Bella is thinking right now?" Now that really hit me. If she was pregnant, I'd love our baby so much, just as much as I love Avalei...

"You know what? Go, run and tell Sam and the rest of the pack. Lets just see what they'll say and I'm pretty sure you won't agree with them either." She said wiping her tears, she looked upset and went back inside the house.

I wanted to follow her but she was right, I needed to let the pack know about this.

I phased and immediately thought about what just happened.

I jumped and landed on the road, a car almost hit me but I ran off and howled, alerting the others.

Howls were heard back then growls came from all directions in my mind. Everyone calling my name, reading my minds memories.

I ran towards an abandoned tree yard and met up with the rest of the pack. They all walked around me, growling.

Sam then barked at us, getting all of our attentions.

That made me angry and pounced on her, we grappled a bit before Sam barked at us to stop. I pushed her away.

I heard Seth whimper next to me. He didn't like this either. I thought of Avalei and how she'll be very angry at me if I go through with this.

He used his alpha voice, standing tall, growling and barring his teeth, making me and the rest whimper, bowing down to his command.

I then thought about Avalei, and what she said.

I growled while lifting my head up slowly, "I. WILL. NOT!" I stood tall against Sam, making him lower himself to a slight bow to me.
